James Madison University is wonderful to visit in the spring. The campus is green and lush with the Shenandoah Mountains as a backdrop. I found it to be clean and the students were polite and welcoming.

The bookstore has gotten expensive and they don't carry more than an XL or XXL in most items... They do have some cool stuff tho but like, $40 for a football with a logo stamped on it? $80 for a hoodie? Yikes.

Very modern University. Great atmosphere. There was a Football game and was pretty crowded but fun to see all get along.My wife liked it and she wants at least one of our daughters to attend.

A great university bookstore! Lots of variety for any swag you could possibly need. The staff are friendly and helpful. This is a must visit every time we’re in town visiting our Duke.

James Madison University is absolutely an amazing university! I heard students who went there say it’s the best place on earth. Now our daughter is there and we agree, it’s a beautiful school, with amazing administration, and so many really great students!

Great 2 story bookstore. The 1st floor is spirit wear and all things JMU. They had a very nice assortment of JMU apparel from infant to adult sizes. Also on the 1st floor was Glassware, hydro flasks, knick knacks and even a section to order a college ring. The 2nd floor is textbooks, books and electronics. Very good supply of everything. The employees were all very nice and helpful.

All the merch a Duke could ever wish for. Beautiful campus. Great vibe. If you're checking out the school, make sure you get to UREC, disneyworld for the fitness nut, and the Cafe is really good - Thai-Chicken bowl with a smoothie.

I expected just books in the bookstore, but this bookstore carries everything the students need in the line of apparel, class needs etc. An amazing place.The Wal Mart near the campus is the cleanest, most well stocked store I have seen since I left the West Coast. We were able to get everything for my granddaughters dorm room ( except for bed risers, those are like gold and absolutely necessary in every dorm room.Loved Mt trip to Harrisonburg

Great selection with predatory pricing. I design t-shirts so I no all too well how much it costs to produce. And being charged $35 for a t-shirt that cost less than $4 is insanity.

Great merch except the reverse weave hoodie needs a better print. The largest heaviest hoodie was printed with the smallest logo for that size and fabric weight. Also would like more fitted hat selections comparable to the adjustable hats. Cashiers were very nice.

I love everything about the JMU Campus. The prices are HIGH HIGH HIGH at the store for "gear" but we had a coupon for 20% off for taking the tour. My 11th grade daughter got her JMU sweatshirt for $24 bucks. Honestly the prices online weren't much better but I came home and searched sales. Full price is RIDICULOUS.

Love the bookstore! Always a great selection. Was disappointed when I went to use the bathroom, while shopping mid tailgate, and there was vomit on the floor outside the door. I was told by a book store staff member (not a student staff member either) that it would be cleaned up but, that it would take a while for someone to get to it. I was given the option of "stepping over it" if I really needed the restroom. This is unacceptable. It doesn't matter how busy the store is, messes, especially body fluids, should be cleaned up immediately. It was hindering the use of the restroom, smelled awful, and was being tracked around by others choosing to "step over it". Come on book store...you can do better. This type of situation is embarrassing to those of us who take pride in our school. Inconvenient and gross.

Easy to move around, merchandised well...although I liked their selection more 2-3 years ago. Clean restrooms BUT...as a new mom, disappointed they didn't have a changing table.I wouldn't expect changing tables in dorms or even dining halls...but the bookstore that tons of alumni with children go into...it's long over due!

The staff was nice but you can't use your financial aid in the store. You have to pay upfront and then wait for your aid to reimburse you which doesn't happen until after school starts. That makes things difficult for financial aid students who need the aid to buy supplies.

Employees here are absolutely rude. Better off going to Outpost. Wanted to do a simple return and they were completely rude to me after telling me I can exchange my item. Then minutes later after I found something to exchange it with, told me I couldn’t return it with the most awful attitude. The manger and the old lady there have no education about costumer service and does not deserve your business.

Parking can be difficult depending when you visit. Hours aren't always conducive to school visiting hours. Prices can be a bit high. They offer a great selection of JMU souvenirs, from clothing to blankets to mugs to ornaments to stickers. Fitting rooms available. They also offer many types of school supplies.

This bookstore is well-stocked and nicely designed. We stopped in late afternoon, and the interior was bright. There are many branded items downstairs, and books and other things upstairs. The staff was knowledgeable and friendly. We know we'll be back!

It was closed in the middle of the day on Wednesday. I was there getting a Megabus. The parking lot was easily accessible and empty. There was no obvious signage for which bus stop was for what bus (since there are school, local and long distance busses running out of this location)

Huge bookstore with 2 levels. Such a great selection of merchandise as well as books and other resources for students. They sell Burt’s Bees products as well as other nice toiletries. Staff was very nice and helpful.

We had met a friend's daughter at the bookstore who in turn gave us an "unofficial" tour of the campus as our youngest son has JMU on his list of colleges. Momma got herself a shirt and Kaleb got himself a long sleeved JMU shirt well I should say momma bought it for him. The bookstore has some nice stuff that's for sure.
