Great Food Lion found what I needed fast, checked out fast, store was clean, and well stocked. The isles were not blocked with boxes and easily passed through. Plenty of parking, plenty of handicapped parking, and the entrance was easily accessible.

Cashier turned off light and switches line to express while I am standing there.He said another line was opening but I just stayed there.Instead of ringing up everything andbagging it he would fill one bag wait for me to take it and continue ringing me up?! Very passive aggressive . Who does that?!He always seems irritated but WOW!

I recently moved so the Food Lion on Route 33 is not my closest one now. This one is now 5 minutes away from my house.This is the second time I’ve came here to look for a specific item that I always hope it is in stock… NOPE! Last time, I came for Rice Krispys and found absolutely nothing. I decided to go to Walmart and got them there. Just a waste of time and hassle even stopping by here.Today, same thing! I was looking for Takis and I did not find anything in the chips aisle. I did the same thing as last time, I went down to Walmart and got them there.It seems that this specific location has restocking issues like I’ve never seen before. I don’t think that the manufacture is low on inventory when it is literally in stock everywhere else.Waste of my time and gas even stepping a foot inside this Food Lion.

A great chain grocery store that is known for providing good value and quality customer service. Although the produce section is not the greatest, you can find just about anything you might be looking for that's food related. Good beer selection at reasonable prices. Highly recommended!

The staff at this FL were kind and respectful. I have more issue with the online ordering. I thought I was ordering straight from the deli with the online "to go" option. It turned out I was ordering curbside service - 😒 someone who would procure my items and have them ready at the front. When this employee went to get my chicken from the deli, it was not prepared because the deli did not receive my order. So, I ended up getting half my order and waiting another 20-25 minutes for the remainder. When I got home, I discovered that what what I had waited for was half of my order - 8 total chicken strips instead of 16. I paid for all. This is a poor system. Moreover, the manager told me it would probably only take a few minutes for the remainder of my order. Meanwhile, I had a van of 8 children waiting outside (with adults). I had put in the order at 11 and came to pick it up at 12:45. I did not leave the store until 1:10. I was disappointed. On a side note, the chicken itself was tasty but the size of the tenders was small for the price.

Good store. Occasionally out of stock or not on shelf, frustrating but it's most stores too. Here it's easy in, fast checkout, helpful cashier's and baggers and No self checkouts!!!!

Has the original food lion sign outside. It's a quaint little store. Seemed to not have alot of options for meats etc. Absolutely no fresh salmon whatsoever. Great atmosphere and decent speed with lines. Seems like it needs major updates.

On Mondays, and Tuesdays, they have certain foods that are close to the sell-by date that they markdown very cheap! That's why I always shop there on Mondays and Tuesdays. But you have to get there early before all of it is gone LOL. I already shared this post and sent it twice so I cannot update my recent visit.

Store was clean my reason for 3 stars is I got fresh food Lion ground beef and although it was well within expiration and it was in appearance fresh red color, when I opened the wrap to cook the same day I purchased it had a bad odor of spoilage?? Very odd as it looked fresh. Maybe the grinder used was not cleaned properly?? I’m a lil concerned?

Very nice store. Immaculate clean front of store. Whenever I walk in it looks freshly vacuumed on the carpet. And there's never dust. I've order thru Food Lion 2 Go as well and they do a amazing job. This is by far my favorite Harrisonburg foodlion as they are very well stocked thru all departments on most every occasion!

Been shopping at Food Lion long before any Walmart was around. I like this store the best because they have the BEST customer service (except the one woman in deli, very rude)They carry a good selection of foods at this location, just not much gluten free items. I have found that most stores don't carry such items, which is sad because over 80% of women do household shopping and 90% of people with gluten allergies are women.

I love Food Lion! Good hours, sparkling clean shiney floors and friendly, helpful employees. Locations are close to wherever I go. Martin's was a good addition to the chain, more varieties of different products, although they seem a little more expensive.

This Food Lion’s produce and selections are great! I especially love the deli tortilla chips. The sad thing is they have giant signs informing customers that masks are required before entering but they have no enforcement of the policy. Several people young and old were blocking the middle of the aisles and not wearing masks while staff was looking directly at them. This teaches inconsiderate customers to disregard Food Lion’s signage and policies. If you have a policy, you must enforce it.

Nice clean store with fresh produce and a nice meat department. Although everyone is realky helpful and nice, I wish management would encourage the cashiers to place the bags in your cart for you and be a little more friendly. It is the customer service that makes a difference for me when I shop. Plus, my elderly mother (and many people) can't always lift the items into the cart very well and are slow to do so. One cashier stood there watching my 86 year old mother and I struggle to put groceries in our cart.

Good selection of produce. Fresh meats and butchers are always nice and helpful. The check-out staff,especially Diane and Kiha are WONDERFUL!! They always help me with bagging my groceries. If you have a question about where something is, the staff is very helpful in finding it!

This location is in a shopping center. There are restaurants in the center. There is also a gas station and Walmart a block away.This store is always clean and the staff are friendly. I especially like the fresh produce and variety of international food products.

The store is always neat and clear, the guy working in the produce always goes the extra mile to try to help you out. The will open up another register if they get busy in a matter of seconds. This store believes I good customer service

I was assaulted here the night before Thanksgiving, while my baby was in the stroller beside me. The police did nothing and also mocked me. The police in Harrisonburg are awful. The manager of Food Lion also did nothing. Apparently there was no video footage to prove what happened to me. I will never return.

As everyone is preparing for a hurricane later this week, I stopped at Walmart and they were sold out. Went to Food Lion, plenty of water. I always prefer going to Food Lion over Wally world. If Food Lion sold wiper blades, I would not have even bothered with Walmart. Shorter lines and nicer staff at Food Lion.

Food Lion always has the Sourdough bread we like, they also have the Coconut milk I can't find in most stores! The staff is always nice and offer assistance whenever possible.

Good bathroom, clean, low water pressure for both the toilet and sink in relation to most other food lions. Didn't try urinal, the porcelain throne was warm after a worker had let his guts exodus out of him

Exceptional service and friendly staff. I prefer coming to the Food Lion at this particular location over other Food Lions in Harrisonburg or Walmart for my groceries just bc of the people who work here. They go out of their way to make sure you have a good shopping experience.

Hey, it's a pretty good neighborhood supermarket. You can't buy Beluga caviar there, but they do ok for just regular groceries. Nice people.
