We were staying at Massanutten and stopped into this cute little bakery. Staff were sweet and they had plenty of options. We got an assortment of cupcakes and a PuppyCake for our doggie. It was delicious. Will definitely visit again!

Tried to place an order for pick up days in advance, I was told I could only order/pick up flavors that were made on that day. I could not get a Friday flavor on Thursday… WHY? Makes no sense considering I know you take call ahead orders for various flavors for occasions! Not everyone wants the flavor(s) of the day. This was a for a birthday. I tried this last year on day of and was told to call ahead, I understand that. So, this year I’m told NO (the girl was rude on the phone) I had to rearrange my entire day, which created issues, to pick up on Friday. I go in with a coupon that stated “$5 off ANY dozen” … now keep in mind I purchased 2 dozen mini’s and wanted to use my coupon. Again, I was told NO that the coupon was only good on regular sized cupcakes. I questioned it because “$5 off ANY DOZEN” means mini, regular, and jumbo but they wanted to argue and told me I couldn’t use the coupon. The staff was rude in person as well. I told them then and I’ll say again now… If you want to specify then you need to specify it in writing!! It’s not like I asked for random flavors in odd numbers. Not sure why 2 dozen of 1 flavor couldn’t have been made 1 day in advance. Never again will I purchase from your company.

The Cupcake Company is definitely one of my Happy Places to visit! Mainly, this is because of the cupcakes and cakes, which are among the very best I've ever had. The consistently of the cupcakes is light without being "airy," and the frosting is deliciously flavored without being too sweet. I've tried many different flavors and never hit on one I didn't enjoy. Their brownies and cakes are also just as delicious--our kid insists on a Cupcake Company carrot cake for their birthday every single year, and it never disappoints! I love that they also provide gluten-free options and are easy to work with when making a special order, too. I'm a fan for life!!

The best cupcakes around! My favorite is the banana bread cheesecake? I think it is. But let’s be honest all of them are fabulous! I’m currently pregnant & want them all the time. Unfortunately I was diagnosed with gestational diabetes so I can’t have any. I do the mini ones sometimes but I want a whole one! These cupcakes are on my list of must haves after I have my daughter! I recommend this place to anyone who loves cupcakes!!!

The fact that I, as a Celiac, can order gluten free sweets here and KNOW I will be safe is so amazing! The pricing is also so comparable to “regular” baked goods which is unheard of! Absolutely love coming here and send my husband in about twice a month to grab something delicious. I never make requests because he’s always bringing home something new that’s my new favorite!Dietary restrictions: Amazing options for Gluten Free people!

THE MOST AMAZING CUPCAKES EVER! LIKE EVER! SERIOUSLY! EVERY CUPCAKE FLAVOR, EVERY CUPCAKE TOPPING - ALL OF IT!! If you have a dietary restriction - they've got a cupcake for you! My only issue is that they don't deliver at 9 p.m., 45 minutes away while I'm on my 4th episode of True Detective. I don't throw the word YUMMY around very often but these cupcakes are fresh and YUMMY!!

I visited the cupcake company for the first time last year. Although, I don’t get the opportunity to visit as much as I would like, I plan to visit at least once a month. Two of my favorite things is that the flavors change with the season and they are always coming up with new flavors like the peanut butter ball cupcakes…mmmm! The cheesecakes and brownies are also to die for!! I highly recommend this shop!!

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this place! We are out of towners, but make trips to Harrisonburg just to get these cupcakes! We pick our day of the week to get our favorites! Staff is ALWAYS sweet & nice. ALWAYS go the extra mile. I can not say enough good about the Cupcake Company. We recommend it to EVERYONE that says they are heading to The Burg! We go often to Massenutten Resort and every single time that we go we have to go to town to get some cupcakes. We also tell our friends that go that way that it’s a must try place. We’ve been here this week 3 times and have gone with 2 different friend groups that have come to visit us. I went today to get some cupcakes before leaving town tomorrow for my family and other family members and they were sold out that’s how good theses cupcakes are. My husband, son and daughters favorite is the Oreo Cupcake mine is the Salted Caramel. Soooo delicious and if you are visiting Massenutten worth the drive to the town.

Went in right before closing, our fault yes, but we had quite limited options. Ended up working out, but I would suggest getting here as soon as you possibly can. A suggestion for closing time as well would be discounting the product that's on hand as I assume it's not getting listed the following day.I had the jumbo chocolate which I absolutely loved, the icing looks whipped (which I dislike greatly, at least in my experience with grocery store cupcakes and ice cream cake) but on the cupcakes it's just fluffy and pairs quite well with the dense bottom. The icing is very, very sweet though. Like, it bothers my stomach sweet.My girlfriend got a maple bacon, and the wrapper was practically glued to the cake. After unwrapping the cake about a fifth of the cake was stuck to the wrapper or hanging off. With the jumbo cupcake, the icing "sweetness to cake" ratio was better, because there was much more cake with the jumbo, but for the regular sized cupcakes, it's 1:1. My girlfriend was nauseated by the icing ratio.Ultimately, I like this place. The lady working was nice, and answered all of the questions we had. However, the cupcakes are treats that leave more to be desired. Good treat for after dinner and maybe to eat in two sittings.

Everything looked SO good that it took a long time to pick out what we wanted. Truly, this shop makes works of art -- we were blown away. However, Im giving them 3 stars because there were no descriptions on any of the cupcakes to let us know what was in them, and... unfortunately, the two we bought lacked a lot of flavor. The icing on the Pumpkin cupcake in particular literally tasted like nothing.

We were sent here, told that the cookie dough bar was “legit”. We thought she meant a bar made of cookie dough; we did not realize it was actually a bar of different kinds of cookie dough designed to be eaten! Which were all amazing. The Chocolate Chip Macaroon and the Chocolate Chip Espresso were my personal favorites, though all are pretty rich and I could not finish 1 scoop in one sitting.Their cupcakes are beautiful (and they have gluten free options) and the Vanilla Blueberry Lemon I had was soooo yummy; it actually tasted of lemon and was not overly sweet.
