We have worked with them a number of times and were very happy but a product they used to repair the chimney damaged our roof. They said they’d contact the manufacturer and find out how to repair but it’s been over four months and they just keep telling us someone will get back to us. Four months with a damaged roof and no fix so we’re going to contact the Better Business Bureau next.

We recieved excellent service from Viktor and Davin. We hired them to sweep our Chimney to learn we had a great deal of damage from a Chimney fire. They were very proficient and professional in all they had to do. After the job was complete they cleaned the area they had worked in so well you would have never had known they had worked there. We were very pleased with assistance we received from Chris and Paul. They came out as scheduled, sought our concerns, then climbed up and assessed our chimney’s condition. Next they inspected aspects of our furnace’s chimney. On completion of their assessment, Chris offered professional yet thoughtful and candid suggestions to our concerns. I felt Chris was honest with his suggestions, was patient with our many questions of options, and never felt I was getting an “up-sell!” We look forward to continued work with them! Lastly, the flames on the truck are spectacular😉!

These guy did great job of replacing an 40 years wood stove with a modern efficient new one. They also replaced the whole chimney pipe up and through the roof. They also come every year for cleaning. Very professional and i recommend them to everyone.

My wife and I were having our gas radiators bled in a 110 year old house we recently purchased when the service technician discovered that our furnace chimney was not drafting properly. Cold season was upon us but he cautioned us to leave the furnace off due to the carbon monoxide levels in the basement. He recommended we call Blue Ridge Chimney Services to see if they could help us.When my wife called them and explained our situation they scheduled a visit after dark and diagnosed the problem within minutes. They gained access to the chase and cleared 3 buckets full of debris, put the chimney pipe back in place, checked to confirm the furnace was drafting properly and were on their way. They communicated what they were doing throughout the process, cleaned up and disposed of the debris they removed, and kept us informed of what they were doing to resolve the problem.They made recommendations for how we could avoid a recurrence of the problem and were on their way. We have dealt with a number of contractors over the years as we built and maintained our homes, but are hard pressed to recall anyone who delivered the level of customer service and technical expertise than BRCS.Services: Chimney inspections, Downdraft repair

Just about everyone at Blue Ridge Chimney had a hand in the repair of my 80+ year old chimney and firebox.Chris confirmed there had been a chimney fire, and the need for two liners since the space between the chimney and hot water heater flues was almost non-existent.Viktor and Chase came to insert flue liners, but discovered that to bring the woodburning fireplace up to current building code, it would need either a retrofit or an insert.Knowing my wish to keep an open-hearth fireplace, Viktor went the extra mile to find a retrofit system that would work in the firebox. He and Jonathan were here for 3 days demolishing the old firebox then installing the retrofit and chimney flue liner, with help from Matt on the second day. There was a thorough clean up each day. I had a lot of questions about the process, and am grateful they took the time to answer my questions fully. They worked well as a team and seemed to genuinely enjoy their work.Rhonda, Nancy and Elizabeth in the front office took care of billing, appointments and reminders. Blue Ridge inspected two very old chimneys for me. I recently moved into a 100+ year old farm house, and the chimneys had not been used or serviced in decades. The crew called ahead, and arrived when they said they would. I was impressed with their courtesy, knowledge and professionalism. They were thorough, inspecting from inside (bottom) and outside (top), and documented their findings with pictures. As I anticipated, the chimneys need significant work, which after reviewing their estimate, I've asked them to do. I look forward to writing another review when the work is complete.Hired them to install liners in two flues, plus caps, dampers, and rebuilding two hearths. The crew of Chris and Chris arrived when expected, re-inspected the chimneys, and planned the work. I was impressed with their knowledge and experience, which was very evident as the project progressed. Chris and Chris were friendly, and very careful to keep the house clean during the process. They had to deal with a couple of surprises discovered during demolition of the old hearths, but they came up with creative solutions, and honored the original estimate even though the job took longer than expected. I am very happy with the finished project and their great craftsmanship. I would definitely hire them again if another project comes up.

I purchased this house 2 years ago. The previous owner had a propane gas log unit installed. This was removed so that I could use the fireplace for burning wood. I phoned Blue Ridge Chimney Service to have the chimney inspected. Viktor and Matt arrived and upon inspecting the chimney, found multiple problems. Crack in the chimney, tiles in terrible condition, chimney cap base deteriorated, and needing a new cap. Viktor and Matt were courteous and professional. They took pictures and showed me the problem areas. I was at ease giving the company the go-ahead to proceed with the work based on those photos. On the appointed day, Viktor and Matt arrived on time to begin the task. I can't say enough about their hard work and efficiency. They were professional and made sure I knew where they were in the job process. Both were apologetic about being unable to complete the job due to a bad liner and poor fitting cap. We made another appointment for them to return with better parts. When they returned, they came early to start early. They worked through heat and humidity, dense Canadian wildfire smoke, loose brick falling into the chimney. They were absolutely dedicated to finishing the job, they worked late until everything was as promised. I now have a lovely working fireplace. I have worked with tradesmen before, and I can comfortably state that these men were incredible. Viktor and Matt are the pros that every company wants in their employ. Blue Ridge Chimney Service is the epitome of a well-run organization. To add to the good things these men do, Matt discovered a very bad leak in a bathroom, that if allowed to continue, would have ruined drywall and gotten into the HVAC system unit. He immediately called it to my attention. It took a hurry-up phone call to a plumber to have it repaired ASAP. Just another thing to be grateful for. Thank you Blue Ridge Chimney Service. There aren't enough words to express our gratitude to Victor & Chris for the work they did, today, on our new home. They worked diligently from 8:30am until nearly 7pm. We are only 8 days in our new "older" home, which has 4 chimneys: 3 fireplaces and an oil burning furnace, which had a clogged flue, discovered during inspection. The furnace was not safe to use. We contacted another chimney service that we had used for 10yrs, at our previous home & we were told it would be the end of Nov or first week of Dec until they could get to us. We could not go that long without heat, so we called Blue Ridge Chimney because of their positive reviews. Rhonda was so helpful and set us up for inspections of all 4 flues, the same week. The furnace flue turned out to be a HUGE repair, as it was clogged with deteriorated mortar and terracotta tile: a potentially deadly situation had we turned on the furnace. Victor arranged for Chris to deliver a new stainless steel liner and Victor & Chris spent HOURS breaking up the old tile/brick/mortar, carrying 5 gallon bucket after bucket full of HEAVY debris out of our home. The quality of their work is IMPECCABLE!! This was a dirty, messy job & when they were done, the only evidence of them being there was the shiny new furnace flue "top hat". We are so grateful for the knowledge, professionalism, expertise, dedication & commitment of these 2 fine gentlemen.
