The person helping on the floor was very unhelpful and brushed off me and another customers questions with A, “nope we don’t have that.” The woman at the customer service desk was very helpful and looked up options for me. That worked perfectly.

As someone who loves all things electronics to include gaming (Both PC and Console), movies, home networking and more. I have come to utilize Best Buy throughout the years for all of my electronic needs. I have found the protection plans to be what they say they are and hassle free. As a total tech member since it was introduced, I have found the service to be well worth the investment. Over the years there have been a few bad experiences with employees who are not customer oriented; however, up until experiencing the Best Buy in Harrisonburg this has been an infrequent event and not a representation of the company.The Harrisonburg Best Buy on the other hand has on multiple occasions displayed a complete lack of care for its customers or their opinions.Some examples that I have personally witnessed include the following:When equipment is ordered and expected to be delivered, the delivery team will not adhere to their own schedule at the cost of the customer. Management also does nothing to rectify the issue. For instance, if a delivery is scheduled at 3 PM and the team has cancelations in the morning, they will show up at the house at 10 Am and leave a hand written note saying "Sorry we missed you" with a phone number to reschedule. When management was contacted in the early afternoon probably around 1 PM they stated that the delivery team had completed all the deliveries for the day and had went home.... Even though it wasn't even 3 PM yet the customer was forced to reschedule the delivery despite already taking time off work to support the current delivery.The Geek squad won't help you even if they are just sitting there with no appointments. If you have an appointment that you were a couple of minutes late to they also will refuse to help you. They won't help you if you don't have an appointment at all. This includes times where others don't show up for the appointment. They will literally just stare at you for the entire block of time that someone didn't show up for and do nothing rather than help someone who is actually there. The windowed appointments for drop offs are 15 minutes long, but if someone shows up 10 minutes into the appointment they also won't help them as the "Drop off" takes the full 15 minutes.The Geek squad has a complete disregard for customers and won't even look at them as they just sit there and tell them they won't do anything to help them unless they have an appointment and show up within the first fiveish minutes of it.On multiple occasions it has also been witnessed that multiple sales floor associates are abbrasive and appear to be inconvenienced with customers who ask for help. They either ignore them having side conversations or tell them they are busy and then stare off.They put items back on the sales floor as an "Open box" that literally has food baked on it and was not cleaned after use with minimal discount.The management would rather argue with the customer and refuse to give any sort of customer service than just simply take care of the issue at hand.If the Harrisonburg store was my only experience of Best Buy has a whole, they would have lost my business years ago. Instead I just drive the extra hour to Charlottsville when I need something in store or I order what I need online.

Bought a 75 inch TV, and missed the morning delivery due to working night shift, so I called to see if I could change it to in store pickup. I did this when they accept calls at 9AM and was able to change the order. When I showed up at the store around 10:40AM, the order had only been put in the system within the last five minutes, which I was unaware of, and the representative over the phone told me nothing about any type of wait. I went to the register and tried to explain the events of the morning to the woman at the register, who happened to be the manager, and was bombarded by “you’re wrong. That’s wrong. You can’t just call when you get here and pick up your order.” She was snippy, loud, and I was belittled in front of about 10 other customers for a few minutes to the point where I was half tempted to cuss her out for being disrespectful. They did bump me up to the top of the waiting list, and I was in and out within ten minutes, but what’s the point if I had to be talked to like a dog in front of everyone? The best employee you all had in the ENTIRE STORE was the delivery guy that morning. I love Best Buy, but the last few times I’ve gone, the employees are all on their phones, or act like they have better things to do. Go to the Charlottesville one if you value service.

Associates are friendly and helpful. I was approached twice by associates asking if I needed assistance. I also really enjoy the self-checkout feature, where you can use your phone to scan your items and pay.

The employees are helpful and knowledgeable, but finding one can be hit or miss. Having worked in retail, I know that comes down to management and corporate. Being to cheap on labor costs will cost you not just a sale that day, but future sales.

I took a laptop to the Geek Squad Dec. 2023.I knew walking in I would not get immediate help so I planned to leave it till they could get time to call me.I am disabled and cannot drive so I tried to take advantage of a ride to Harrisonburg.Without looking at me the GEEK at the counter asked if I had an appointment.I said no and he reply we can't help you without an appointment.I let him know I didn't think or expect them to look at it right away and I wanted to leave it until they had time to call me.AGAIN not looking at me he said - "That's what the appointment is for - to drop it off!"I am pretty sure he never looked even peripherally.I do know he just didn't care.WOW, I will never go to Best Buy or any GEEKs there ever again.

Open box TV's being available on the open floor for my girlfriend to locate (serendipitously) the exact model I was looking for, which I discovered on my own was wandering and happening upon a chart of models and features (still not 100% I got the perfect product for me), was the saving grace from a ⭐✴️✴️✴️✴️. Luckily, we achieved set goal of new TV without speaking with a floor rep.

Highly recommend total tech service from best buy!! Pays for itself in 1 repair and anything I buy has a 90 warranty. I simply drop off any repair or any upgraded components for my pc and it's ready for pickup in a day or 2, can't beat it!!

Extremely lazy, apathetic staff members who stand around talking to each other instead helping customers. There were literally four employees in the smart phone department who were talking amongst themselves and I had to ask twice to look at something. Next, whatever you find on their website is NOT at the store, there's a total disconnect between available inventory and what's actually in the store. I'm amazed that in 2023 they don't have the technical ability to get their inventory system working properly. I've been to a lot of Best Buys around the country, and this one is at the bottom end. I ended up buying exactly what I wanted at the Target down the road.

Dylan was the best in the Geek Squad department. He was friendly, kind, patient, as well as knowledgeable. Great sales representative as well. I came in to inquire about replacing the battery for my 2017 MacBook Pro and he suggested preordering the new MacBook Pro with the M3 processor instead. I took his suggestion and am very happy with my new purchase. Dylan works at the Harrisonburg, VA location.

Didn't buy anything. However the store was clean, the employees were nice and offered to assist. We were greeted when we came in. There was a rain storm so we roamed until the rain stopped. Nice technology kept us entertained and I got to look at some specs on some items I am considering.

The assistant manager Vince was great! He helped us track down everything we needed even though he had to spend awhile finding it ! He truly is an exemplary employee! And we truly appreciate it! Love Best Buy. Have purchased so many things from them for years. They try to keep up with the times and service needs. Total protection plan is good if have a fair amount of items from them. Look for price match. Ship from store to home if item not in stock at store closest to you. Some drop off with staff and quantity of products but think that is everywhere right now

This store is horrible. They can't even let customers know when they're closing, they just turn the lights off. And they lie to you and claim they've cancelled geek squad services when they actually did not. The online chat is no help either. I have never had a good experience in this store. The management is probably some of the worst I've seen out of any company.

Went in to purchase a tv. An employee walked past my family and I twice w/o even acknowledging us or asking we needed assistance. Walked towards front of store to find help and everyone seemed preoccupied with their own business. Had to carry a heavy TV to the front of the store with no help. Never again

Was picking up an instacart order. For it being December I had hoped more people at front end to assist. There was two standing at the podium by the door(probably front end shift lead or Assistant Manager possibly) and I was 4/5 deep at pickup with a few more behind me and only 1 employee trying to help everyone. Too bad leadership didn't take advantage of that back up and make it a more positive experience for myself and the others patiently waiting
