Very disappointed with the Online West Marine. I resently purchased bottom paint for my boat. I found what i needed on the West Marine web site. I ordered with confidence. The policy is not to bill until shipped. I was billed on Saturday. UPS doesnt pick up till Monday evening. Why was i billed Saturday if it hasnt left your facility. I told them to keep it i would get somewhere else. They said they couldnt cause it already shipped. Does anyone else see this problem. I was billed Saturday. It hasnt shipped as of Monday. Why was i already billed then? Looks like it will take over a week for a quart of paint. Save yourself the hassle. Pick it up at you LOCAL Marina.Well it arrived today. Unusable as bottom paint. Playdough?The agent on line was VERY helpful. He told me this item is being discontinued. However he had another one in stock and expedited one out.So here it is boat out of the water for at least 8 days with cure time.I will update with completed job and time frame.**I remember a day when i would pull the boat paint it the morning of the next day. In the water that night. One day out and in.06-04-19Went to the West Maine in W. Mercury blvd. Hampton Va. The fellow working there helped me select the right bottom paint for my Aluminum Jon Boat. He told me he didn't carry the brand from on line. He recommended a multi season non copper Anti fowling bottom paint. $119.Now I will be returning the paint I bought on line..Returned at West Maine Store. Hampton Va.

Amazing customer service! I placed an order via telephone, the order went out promptly. I did not receive a tracking number, but when I called WM, the tracking number was given to me as well as an update on the order that it had been delivered! Above and beyond impeccable service!

My husband went to the store and Bill helped him solve his problem between chain and windlass’s gypsy. He took over an hour to solve the problem: trying different chains, calling the distributor twice & giving suggestions. This is TRUE customer service!!! We didn’t purchase new chain but will be back for bottom paint. Kudos to Bill!!!

This was my first visit to this business and the staff treated me as a valued customer. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Very reasonable prices and great quality. Purchased some boat and RV wax and other cleaning supplies. Will visit again for my Boat and RV cleaning products.

Extremely helpful!I just want to thank one of the managers (I'm very sorry I forgot his name) for going above an beyond. I was at the public docks, without transportation, doing a routine oil change. In the middle of the oil change, on my Yanmar engine, I realized I had run out of spare oil filters. I called West Marine and one of the managers said he would run one out to the boat for me. About 20 minutes later he arrived with a small selection of oil filters for me to choose from. Outstanding service! Thank you very much!

Staff was very helpful in finding what I wanted even though they did not have it stock. Staff ordered what I wanted online and had it sent to my home address at no extra charge. Cannot beat service like that!

Very friendly, bought navigation lights that a gasket was missing from and didnt realize tilll we got home, they gave me another set of brand new lights. I am going to be doing all my business with them for my boat

Everytime I go into West Marine in hampton you have different people. Awful experience. No help. Customers parking in front door because they are too rich to walk 20' from parking. Get chewed out after I reproman the rich igorant customer. Have to be rich to go in there.

I must have spent a fortune here trying to keep my boat floating. The store is relatively small, and the prices are steep. Staff is hit or miss, but generally helpful.
