The representative Jo should have some retraining or better customer service skills. Maybe it was just a bad day but she clearly did not want to be at Home Depot today. Kristin however was a pleasure to work with.

Hire more friendly cashiers. Tyleah needs to be either retrained on better people skills and how to be more accommodating to your shoppers especially in the lawn and garden center where people may have heavier items and bulk items. Showing facial expressions and manners where she couldn't be inconvenienced was not an attractive look for your location.

We have rented several tools from here and now twice we have got a tool that wasn’t working properly. Today we were given the wrong cord to a jack hammer and then once we started using it it was spitting grease out so we had to stop using it. Returned it 15 minutes late they charge d us for a hole extra hour and refused to give any discount for giving wrong cord as well as took spitting oil everywhere. We were told tool is operating correctly. However just turning it on isnt going to show them how it isn’t working properly unless you actually use it as it’s supposed to be used . Don’t rent from here they have poor maintenance on equipment and tools.

I went yesterday to purchase a refrigerator. I asked April from the appliance section to help me find it. She started searching for it while my son and I waited for several minutes. We went in disbelief when we saw her walking out of the break room without wearing her Home Depot apron and carrying her personal purse ,and heading towards the parking lot. She dropped us like a bad habit . We brought this to the CS Rep who tried to help with our purchase.but couldn't get the fridge because it was in the reciving area blocked by other product.Needless to say that I will not return to this location.

I do wish there were more staff there. That day that I went, maybe it was an off day. But I got done what I had to get done there with the board cutting. They were a good place to find discounted lumber. I went there and got a few good pieces cut. For $2.50 75% off lumber, you can't beat it. Especially for 5 boards for that price. I do wish there had been more staff. And they had been more helpful. It took forever to find someone to get. My board's cut. Seems like there weren't a lot of people that Weren't around A big Lack of staff. All in all, it was okay.

Today's experience was the worst. I'll attribute it to online purchases. Buying it online, the filters arrived damaged. The local store replaced the damaged ones no problems. A few months later, I decided I didn't care for the quality of their filters and tried to return it to the store. They wouldn't return them because they were over 180 days since purchase. The pro account says 360 days but only applies to certain items they say. So now I'm stuck with them. I'll be using Lowes from now on!

12/30/17 update: went to buy replacement blinds for my home. I have 70 inch windows. In the past I've got all my blinds from here and they had 70 inch length blinds in-stock. Nothing at 70 inch length except the cut to order. When I was asked if I needed help, I asked for the aforementioned length. The employee said we don't carry those anymore. After explaining to her that I've always got that length here. Her reply was I just had a guy come in here and by 40 blinds, you know the guys that buy and sell houses. We cater to what sells and the 70 inch ones don't... Huh? I left went to Lowe's and got what I needed. BTW HOME Depot the selection there is full and they cater to everyone!Past ReviewGreat employees, always greet with a welcome to Home Depot. Eager to assist with locating items. Prices are great too.

The employees are always so helpful and friendly. Every time I am at checkout, they strike up a conversation. I love going to Home Depot!My only complaint is the Mil Discount system. I have an ID that should be good enough. I wouldn't say I like that they have a list of service members, veterans, and their families in their unsecured computer system. It's a map of where every service member lives and shops. Seems dangerous!

I had a home delivery that was a large 300+ pound item that was simply left on my driveway. (yes, I was home, BTW) As a military family that had to move here, I was confused because Lowe's/other Home Depots would always deliver large items into my home and I called the customer service number and was told that all I needed to do was call my local Home Depot and someone would come back and help me. This is the Home Depot I called first. The lady was extremely rude and utterly unsympathetic to my dilemma. It seemed strange I should be given this advice from customer support only to have someone completely disregard my issue after purchasing a large, expensive item. The Home Depot in Newport News gave me the same, rude answer. My kids and I had to push it into our garage because it was about to rain. Yep, a military mom and her two kids had to push with all our strength to get it out of the rain. (We barely managed!) I then had to hire someone else to bring it into my home. I had good experiences with Home Depot in Texas and Nebraska. Because of this, I will never, *ever* shop at Home Depot ever again.

This location needs to get rid of their curbside pick up parking spaces if they are not going to provide the service. Several times I have ordered items for curbside pickup and after waiting 15 to 20 minutes, no one comes out. And then when I go inside to pick up the order, they don’t even register or acknowledge that you have a curbside order and we’re waiting. Sloppy service. if you’re not going to provide it, don’t offer it.

I do quite a bit of online ordering, and pick up at the store, for my job. I've never had a bad experience with the employees at the pick up desk. Always professional and, help me load into my car if needed. Today, Rhonda helped me out. She was so friendly and courteous, she really started my day on a good note!

Customer service was really good. I had purchased a new lawnmower that was damaged in the box. Return was painless although I cannot recommend a Toro recycler lawn mower unless you like being covered with grass and dirt. Poorly designed mower in my opinion. Toro customer support was useless. So I returned the mower. Home Depots staff was very helpful and professional. Five stars to them.

The best customer service! All of the employees are so helpful and pleasant. I had forgotten my warranty and my receipt. The customer service reps did not turn me away. They were very helpful. Showed me how to navigate the website and I was able to make the exchange for my lawnmower with no hassle. Alexis,Micah,Javone and Shannon were extremely helpful. Alexis was my first encounter she helped me navigate the Home Depot app and locate my receipt. Shannon ensured that I was being helped when Alexis had another item to attend to. Micah and Javone stopped what they were doing in the garden department to assist with find and lifting the heavy duty lawnmower. My spouse is deployed so it was really nice having such excellent customer service during a difficult time.

Poor delivery service from the Hampton VA store. Delivered 8 bags of concrete in the rain that were no good and refused to pick them up and dispose of them (400 pounds). Thanks Home Depot for leaving me (68 y/o) with 8 no good 50 lb bags of concrete to get rid of.

We ordered and bought a patio furniture set in person. The two customer service workers, including Kerry-Ann the customer service supervisor, lied and said the sale was ending the following day and that our military discount couldn’t be applied. We went onto the app at home and not only was the sale still ongoing days later, but we got the military discount. I went in to get a refund for the difference of the military discount, to which Kerry-Ann said that if the order had already shipped, we couldn’t get a refund and that they couldn’t give a refund for just the difference. After proving that the app allowed us to do what we wanted and showing my military discount code, she finally agreed to refund the full amount. It’s absolutely ridiculous to be lied to in the face twice, and then refused a discount until proven wrong. I’ll never order anything from this location in person again!

Placed an order on May 11, 2023 in store that was suppose to be delivered Tuesday, May 9th. I paid the extra fee to be we within a specific delivery window (2pm to 6 pm). I received an email the Tuesday stating that they would have to reschedule delivery for Wednesday morning. I was ok with that since my guys were going to start working Wednesday morning. The delivery truck showed up on Wednesday with a partial order. I ordered 180 sheetrock, they delivered 25! I call the store everyday since then and the excuses piled up. One day. They didn't have enough to fill the order, the truck broke down, the delivery company didn't pick it up etc. Today is, Saturday May 20, 2023 and it still hasn't been delivered. The excuse today was that there's an issue with the truck. Most people would cancel the order but when you don't have the means to transport that much drywall, you're kinda at the disposal of this company. I'll try Lowes for my next order. I wil update this review when it eventually get delivered.Buyer beware.
