This is for grooming I shop at Petco for my dog supplies all the time especially my puppy food . However with grooming I wanted to cry seeing my dog I didn’t know who dog that was behind the counter that’s y they made me pay for my Ellie’s cut before even seeing her I even tipped Hannah and my dog cut was not what I asked for .. I asked for a simple trim and yorkie face cut they cut all my dog hair off I was pissed I will not be letting them groom my dog again $60 for the chopped up cut I could have done it myself .. the photos are a before and after of my dog I can’t believe my dog had to look like this for Christmas 😢 unbelievable and my dog was not matted she had a few Matt’s on her legs and that’s it I comb and brush her frequently and made sure she was in good shape for her appointment she look like a total different dog . Not one apology no discount nothing Hannah act if she didn’t care I did not ask for her to chop my baby hair off none of my direction was followed

I had been happy with the service for the past 12years. Out of nowhere. The morning I'm supposed to take my dog in for a full service groom. I received a call. "My dogs groomer was let go. So if I want an appointment. Call and schedule one. They will try to get me in over the next three weeks". I was left dumbfounded. After 12years of every 6weeks. I was cast aside. Like I was an off the street customer without a appointment. I set the 8 weeks earlier at his last groomAfter 12 years.I don't see me returning.

How do you buy 6 dollars worth of crickets and not a single darn cricket be alive. Not only that but out of convenience I went to this store, but any other store I would have spent 98 cents on the crickets. An absolute trash store. So tired of these larger named stores being so garbage.

They’re going through a much-needed renovation, however there is a layer of drywall dust on everything right now and I am not comfortable giving my pets certain items as some don’t clean up well from the construction dust. The staff have always been nice on our visits, so looking forward to what the store looks like in the future.

UMMM first of all don’t walk BUT RUN to Ariel she makes my Ari look like a beautiful puppy every time. I love her and feel so safe dropping my dog off to her and that means a lot to me and my mother. Best Groomer hands down

Everyone I have asked to help me, has been honest and nice and most times, I don't even have to ask for help because they offer to help as soon as I walk through the door. Very helpful staff.

I come here often for all my animals food and pet supplies, every single person that works here is awesome. Very friendly, helpful, and the store is clean always. I’ve never had grooming done here but always see them doing one in the window behind the registers with some adorable dog so they must get a lot of referrals.

We have been taking our dog/dogs to get groomed at Petco for over 10 years. Our dog had a grooming appointment set. (6 weeks in advance) They called half an hour before his appointment stating the groomer who grooms our dog was fired! Canceled his appointment and had no advise or to reschedule him with someone else Left us high and dry! I will never use PETCO again for anything!

Always go there to get my puppies dog food. The sales were not great. They are remodeling the store so it is a little crazy in there. Wiah you could make appointments online to get toenails clipped. Everyone was very nice.

Poorest excuse for a pet store I’ve ever seen!!!First of all, they do not answer the phone. I actually had to get in the car and go to the store to schedule the appointment after two days of trying to get someone to pick up the phone.The stylist that I was looking for was in the store that day and scheduled the appointment for me.When I took my puppy in for the appointment, she refused him and tried to pass him off on another stylist.Rude to the highest level, and I had cancelled a standing appointment with a groomer right around the corner who has never refused my puppy to be turned down by someone who obviously could care less.I reported them to their corporate office. Biggest next to nothing excuse for a pet store I’ve ever seen!!!

Meagan is the best!! I took my sweet baby boy(yorkie) who is almost 7 months for his first grooming and I was so amazed at the results! I showed her a picture in the beginning and I got what I asked for. Meagan knows her job and loves what she does as well!!

It would be with great surprise if they ever actually hired an employee that had a good attitude. I have on several different occasions been spoken down to, hung up on & mistreated by their assistant manager Mike, as well as a few of their crew members. Natalie for one, I’ve had one interaction with her and the entire time was her giving attitude and serving stank face. They refused to honor the price tag they had clearly labeled under the product when it rang up as a different price. That would have been fine if it didn’t take me close to arguing with the cashier Natalie to even go look at the price tag it had listed. Then to get a manager involved was another attitude thrown at me yet when the manager is in front of us she puts on her customer service voice (squeaky as hell) and randomly starts knowing how to talk to people. Save the stress and drive the couple extra miles to one of the 2 Newport News locations, or better yet, drive across the street to petsmart instead! At least they know how to communicate to customers. Again that’s NATALIE and MIKE.

Cassie is amazing. I met her outside of Petco on Friday. We were standing in line at a different store and after speaking with her for a bit she mentioned she's a groomer at PetCo. I have three cockers, which I groom myself, but some things, like the nails, I just don't want to challenge anymore. I talked to her about that and she mentioned other cockers she has groomed; how long she has been at PetCo. The vibe was so right so I told her I will bring one of my cockers to see her Sunday. I was there today. She saw me and was so happy to see us. Jafare has always been groomed by me so he doesn't know any different. She took such great care of him, he pranced out of the grooming area like he was "the man". He was happy and after the appointment went for a three mile walk. For an almost 14 year-old dog that is saying a heck of a lot. I must mention as well that he takes time to warm up to people, like me, but he trusted her from the GO...as I did! Want an awesome groomer, Cassie is simply that AWESOME! Thank you Cassie and see you next time with one of the other 3-pack (:

HEATHER NEEDS A RAISE!!! I really appreciate heather being so patient with me as I was indecisive on which fish to choose. She had SO MUCH knowledge and worked with me over a period of 3-4 days! Shawn was also very helpful and reliable when heather was busy. It is safe to say that this is my favorite location!! Thank you guys so much!

This review is for grooming only: for such a high price, I'd expect the service to be at least adequate, but it was not. The quality of the haircut was poor and the associate did not follow my directions. They were also significantly later than the estimated timeline given. However, I received a call from the manager days later and she graciously rectified the situation.

While the customer service was good, there was a lot of dead fish in the tanks and also an exotic beatle or roach crawling on the floor. Luckily I was just there for dog toys and was pleased with the selection.

Went in to buy a top for my aquarium. I was greeted at the door. Handed off to another salesman who led me to the tops. I told him what I wanted and he picked it out and handed it to me. I checked out.

We’ve been shopping at this location for many years. The services offered and products for birds are great. A bit on the expensive side though. Chewy is definitely competitive when it comes to prices. Customer service is also great. The reason I give 4 stars is because of the cocktail that is very under kept and I think has been at the store for several months. It’s so sad to see this beautiful bird still at this store! I saw the 25% off From almost $300. This is not going to help find this bird a forever home. Not to mention how badly neglected it looked. Please care for this bird and possibly consider drastically reducing the price.
