I shop at this Harris Teeter at least once a week, and it's overall fine. Store is clean and well stocked, safe for the area, and the fuel points are an excellent bonus.My biggest complaint is that this store relies way too much on self-checkout. It's a 50-50 chance whether or not they'll have a cashier manning a register no matter what time of the day it is. You're "more likely" to see them in the evening but that's not even a safe bet. You'd think that with the $600-800 alone that I spend a month in the store that they'd be able to staff at least one full time cashier, but it is what it is. Self-checkout is super helpful when you're buying milk, but when you see 5 customers buying full carts of groceries while several employees stand around then that's bad for optics.Ultimately, I prefer this store heavily over others in Hampton, but they need to get it together and quick before I explore other options.

I visit this location regularly and while the store itself is nice and clean, the management is really not on point here. As others have stated, they essentially force self checkout on you here. Seemingly out of laziness because there's plenty of workers standing around. Even during peak hours after work or around noon on weekends when the store is packed. It finally got to a breaking point for me when I went in shortly after having a shoulder surgery and had my arm in a sling.I waited a moment at a register since I saw *several* employees standing around the Customer Service desk hoping that they would open a register but they just kind of looked at me like I was weird for not going to self checkout or something. The employees stood around laughing with each other while I struggled to scan some of my heavier objects. Whether they were laughing at me or not isn't clear but it definitely felt like it. Either way, they made no effort to help.The only standout employee here is a man named Johnathan, he seems to struggle and try his best to help everyone he can but they're leaving him high and dry to carry most of the load himself. He was the only one who made any attempt to help me that day, but he was understandably busy with several other customers as well.I used DoorDash to get groceries for the rest of the time I was recovering and went back this week hoping things would be different, but if anything it's worse. I stood in a congested line for the self checkout, a mother growing impatient and embarassed with her rowdy children in front of me. I don't think I'll be returning any time soon.

This Harris Teeter is a nice store. It is well-stocked, very clean and seems to have sufficient staffing on hand to keep customers served quickly.For the wine drinkers it seemed to have a good selection of wines. Beer drinkers will enjoy a nicely-stocked beer cave with chilled beers available.The store is well laid out and seems to have a good flow to it. Oh, and for the coffee drinkers there is a Starbucks located in the front of the store. This Harris Teeter also has gas which seemed competitively priced.

Flowers are fresh and VIC specials every week, custom orders available, arrangement case always has a nice selection available. Variety of balloons available for different occasions. Unfortunately, does not offer delivery, but does provide floral design for weddings, baby showers, birthdays, holidays, etc.

Young lady in bakery wasn't very friendly, abrupt. Store clerk was helpful explained to me it was Senior Thursdays and gave me my discount.

Great little market. Only problem is in the Deli there's always a wait. Doesn't matter what day it is. Hire more people stop being cheap. These poor workers are working as best they can but you got one person assigned to multiple stations at a time? You should be ashamed of yourself management.Hire more people and do better.

Love shopping here. Good selection. On a busy day I get a little tired after selecting my groceries. It so nice to have the cashier unload my cart, scan and bag everything. It's customer service you won't get anywhere else.

Great little grocery store with everything you could need. There’s only one entrance/exit which is a little weird but it also has the only Starbucks on the way to work so it’s a daily stop for my coworkers and I. Become a VIC member right away, the prices are affordable once you get the deals and the points give you money off each gallon of gas per month at Harris Teeter or Kroger!

I used to exclusively shop here, but I'm thinking of changing. The customer service has gone downhill, the produce isn't that good, they never have fresh romaine, and the lines are crazy. They rely way too much on the self checkouts. They only ever have 1 cashier, making the line way too long.

Friendly, good deals, good selection of food items! The store and parking lot are always clean! The price may be higher but it's worth it! Safe area. Shopping center has died out a little, but nice that a few fast food places are around.

I never have a bad experience going into Harris Teeter. I come here several times weekly since it's been open, it's right around the corner from my house. I'm always in and out. Clean and organized store. Great grocery variety, nice produce and meats. Security at the door makes me feel safe. Employees are always pleasant. Shout-out to Lin, who was very helpful at the self check-out line also. She made my day!

Just shopped there. Everything clean and nice. Deli has issues with the staff. I know its grand opening and everyone is excited. Asked for sliced chicken breast and the clerk was cutting ham. Lucky I noticed. Also had to tell them I wanted a pound 3 different times while they were slicing my order. Truly disappointed there was no pizza bar. In the initial grand opening press release it said they would. A fresh hot pizza bar would have been the main reason to frequent the store. I will treat them like any other chain and only shop the bargains. I guess at least a store is there open and the building is not empty unlike many of the other store fronts in the Willow Oaks Shopping Center.

So glad they finally opened here! They have more supplies for vegans and the deli always looks good for us carnivores too. The staff is really friendly and helpful. The manager even came and got something that was way back on the shelf that I couldn't reach. Nice to have them in the neighborhood.

Harris teeter is quite an expensive store for some of us that is. But however I do love when they offer the buy one get one free and especially by to get three free you can sometimes get a good deal. Got out of doing coupons like I used to but they still do doubles so maybe I'll start back with that and I'm pretty close to Harris teeter since I just recently moved to Fox Hill maybe you can make you my favorite new store Harris teeter

I visit this store at least 5 days a week and sometimes multiple times in one day and will continue. Consider teaching your younger deli employees to refrain from discussing customers right in front of them. Super professional :)

There's a good selection of items not found in Walmart or Kroger. Not too highly priced though. There are organic choices but it's not like some of the pricier organic shops. I love chatting with the cashiers. They're friendly and real.

Great place to shop! Much better variety of ingredients than the other local stores and its much closer to the base than the other Harris teeter. I will for sure be shopping here more often. Their beer cave is about the same size as krogers but they have a much larger selection of craft beer. Their produce section is small but very diverse with a great selection of fresh herbs and exotic produce. They really did a great job of packing such a wide variety into such a small space. Oh, and don't forget the Starbucks at the front of the store!

I have had issues in the past with this store and them NOT removing items that are expired. If you visit this store in particular, PLEASE CHECK DATES ON EVERYTHING!!! I had bought sausage before thinking it was good to go because someone is supposed to be checking dates; I got home home and cut it open only to reveal that the sausage had turned brown and had been expired for a week. I would think that something tut that is a sale item is of some importance. Also, very high priced in this store.

This review is for the 2 girls I encountered that were working the Starbucks counter on the morning of 11/21/19. They were so sweet and polite and made the visit an extremely pleasant one. I tried to tip them and they said they could not accept any tips. I think they should be able to! They deserve it! They were delightful people in general and deserved to be acknowledged! Value your employees like this, they keep us coming back! As for the Harris Teeter overall, is it very clean, the produce and meat are always top notch, but the store overall is very expensive!
