Cashier was drunk off her a** ridiculous to be honest. What’s even worse is you could smell the alcohol coming off her took forever to check us out and this the only lady they got on the damn register no one else and her line was all the way down the aisle they open a new register and everybody left her line and was checked out before we were worst service I have every had in a food lion.

If I could give zero I would... This food Lion is one the worst, the customer service at the customer service is dreadful, very rude and disrespectful, the managers are completely rude I do not recommend conducting any business at this location

This Food Lion store is one of the better stores belonging to Food Lion I've shopped. Upon entering the first thing I noticed is the store is clean, even on a busy Saturday afternoon.Walking thru the store it is well-stocked. The produce and meats look fresh and seemed competitively priced. One thing lacking is an assortment of antacid tablets except for Tums. I much prefer Rolaids feeling they work better for me.There seemed to be adequate cashiers to keep customers flowing. I used self-checkout which is my preference.

It appears you get promoted by how rude and disrespectful you are to customers, I do not understand you have a job in Customer SERVICE so you will have to serve people, it is not my fault you don't like your job , I suggest a new one where you don't have talk to people, and at this store no matter how polite or respectful you are you will always get a negative attitude, I'm starting to think that is a requirement to this store... No stars and do not go here if your in a good mood because you wont leave with one

They open at 6 or 7 and they stand around looking at you while you ring yourself up then says they dont open registers till 9:30 well yall dont need many workers till 9:30 who wants to wake up to go do someone else job while they look at you

Food lion on Mercury is messy and shelves were not stocked. This is my least favorite Foodlion. I much prefer the one on Nickerson.

My interaction this Afternoon with Lisa ( store manager ) Kayla ( stock employee ) WAS HORRIBLE NO SOLUTIONS JUST RUDENESS EXCUSES. Might I add with PROOF OF PURCHASE ( and My Discount was never even applied ) After All However THIS STORE IS A 0/10. IF MANAGEMENT CONDOMS POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE THEN THE EMPLOYEES WILL FOLLOW. HIRE PEOPLE WHO ACTUALLY WANT TO DO THE JOB THEY GET PAID TO DO.

Went to go grocery shopping here today and not a single cart available inside for customers who would like to shop. Are we suppose to carry what we want to buy? So i brought the issue up to customer service whom said id have to go grab one in the parking lot and they'd take care of it shortly (also she knew they were out of carts to top it off) if i got to walk all the way back out near my car ill just go somewhere else (which i did leave) i already dread grocery shopping and now i got to do their jobs for them in order to spend my money? I am not lazy but it also isnt my job. Clearly this is an important part of the job if you want people to shop at your store u need carts and shelves stocked!!!!!!!

I am thinking of going to a different store!I've been going in this store almost daily for 6 year's and recently I have been having issue's with a worker. She's extremely rude, I was in self checkout she was standing there I asked for a pack of cigarettes she said no she was busy watching the self checkout that I would have to go to customer service. Tonight I was going to self checkout there was nobody in line and she got in front of me and told me I had more than 12 items and couldn't use it I had to go to a register! I've been in there with 2 item's and have had to wait forever for people with a cart full and nobody ever says anything EVER! She was hateful and rude to me! She doesn't deserve to have her job as she's not friendly. There was also a lady who came up behind me with more than 12 and she didn't say anything to her!

Manager need to do something about the people beggin for money at the doors I’m looking at 7 people right know it’s crazey no I don’t have change (one says Man U never have change) well that makes too of us so stop asking!! I work 16 hours a day no I’m not giveing my money away I can hardly survive myself so it would be irresponsible to give money away when I dont have a bunch!!! It’s hard out here for everyone

The short lady in the picture singled me and my teenagers out at self checkout I had a cart full of groceries and this lady came from the other side of self checkout to come stand next to us and stared of in the face the hole time I mean she stood next to us Didn’t pay anyone else any attention two lady’s came to checkout she had her back to them looking at us it was so apparent and discriminative and obvious I spoke to the manager about and let him know it was embarrassing and making me very uncomfortable and he replied I can’t do anything about it she did this for at least 8 minutes before I spoke up even my teens noticed it and they don’t notice anything lol so I decided if this was how I was gonna be treated I decided to leave the entire cart of groceries and walk out all the shopping I do everywhere I never have been stood next to and watched and not one time did she walk around and look at other people I mean stood next to me turn her back to everyone else and stared that’s when I was offended so heads up my fellow African Americans if you go here with tall black teenagers and a cart filled with food and you decide to go to self checkout you will be profiled……

This place is not safe. Ariana the cashier will stand and watch you while put your stuff in the car and shout that she is from the streets where they shoot people. The bums in the parking lot harass you. They are horrible at bagging. I will not be shopping here anymore. If i could use profanity, this post would be heavily laced.

Just want to say the deli gets five stars from me! I had my baby shower and food lion came through and cooked our chicken that day. There was a store transfer and Burg I think her name was happy to help! She's great she has great customer service! The chicken was a hit! Thank you foodlion! Blessings!

Food Lion has some good deals if you have MVP card. They have a decent selection of items on the shelves but limited on the beef. At this store, you won't find good cuts of steak like rib eye. I have only seen filet mignon one time at the store in the last 20 years and then it was only one pack of two filets. You might catch a rib eye once in a blue moon but mostly what they have is cheaper cuts like flank and chuck.I seldom get produce at this store because it usually is not good quality and past its shelf life. I have seen moldy berries and brown lettuce at this store. Some of the other Food Lions have great produce and good selection but varies by store. Only produce I purchase at this store is broccoli and bananas.While I don't normally buy store brands due to quality, I find Food Lion brand items on par with big brand names. The prices are good. I used to shop at Harris Teeter, but their seem to go up every week now-a-days. Many of the same items I buy at Food Lion are 20% to 30% cheaper. That's a big difference and with MVP BOGO deals, you can find some real bargains. They even beat WM on a lot of the brand name grocery items.Aside from the produce and meats, this is a good place to shop and save some money.

The prices are better than average. The workers are friendly, although not as attentive as some of their competitors. The variety of brands is very good. A salad bar and a manned seafood section would be a nice touch. They don't carry Sweet Baby Ray's Sweet Golden Mustard Barbecue Sauce which rules them out as a shopping destination for me when I barbecue.

The cashiers are so surprised when you are friendly. It is usually a pretty good experience there, just don't go at night unless you want like 9 people running up on you at your car asking for money, if you want to buy a t-shirt, if you want to buy a pirated cd/DVD, or if they can get a ride somewhere. The store itself is great though. Fantastic prices, great selection, and friendly staff.

Food Lion looks really nice since they made renovations. The aisles look wider and the lighting is just the right brightness. They offer a large variety of products and I have always loved their prices so i recommend Food Lion for all your grocery needs.

The upgrades and renovations has really brought this grocery store up to par. I have been going here awhile and now will go more often. More self checkout lanes are very helpful, as well as the staff seem much more attentive to the customers as well as the organization of the store. If you haven't checked this store out, its a must to see a Food Lion making an effort to be competitive with the other grocery chains. Good Job Food Lion!

Great neighborhood market! The deals here are great, the staff is courteous and helpful. The only reason for 4 stars is since they have rearranged the store it has become harder to find things. Ramen for example is not in the oriental section, it's in between cookies and veggie broth, I mean what the heck? lol Other than that, great selection, great prices, great spot to shop.

Late evening Staples run, bread ,milk eggs , etc...1 cashier running customer service and all self check outs. 2 Self checkouts stopped working at the same time.had wait for the cashier to finish the line at the desk to come reset the machines.. and I thought this would be faster.... Not.. the cashier was great but did mention she was on her way out.. I guess she thought she should have a little help to.

I parked in a handicapped spot. I really hurt and am disabled. I shopped for a half hour or so, and when I went to leave, the doors closest to my car were turned off. I then had to walk over to the other doors, and even further to my car. So much for being handicapped? Please keep both sides open until you close.

Store was clean, parking lot had a lot of trash. Some of the shelves were empty and others were not fully stocked. Not much available for the grab and go items such as lunch meat, cheese or hot foods.
