While the store is fairly large and has an outstanding selection of various collectibles, the cleanliness and quality of items is questionable at best. I think it is great when shops have their pets in their establishments, but not at the expense of the store. When you enter the shop you know there is a cat occupying the place because you are met with an overwhelming smell of the pet. You may even find parts of the floor where the cat has used the bathroom on the floor with a meager attempt to clean by covering with a sawdust material. When you manage to get past this, the items are extremely disorganized through a maze of boxes and items for sale. Since these are collectibles, quality varies, but there is a good selection. If you want a unique collectible and quality is not a concern, this store is worth a look.

Came here around Mother’s day weekend 2023 & bought a book and figure I’ve been looking for. (Superman #158 & Kyle Rayner) The owner was one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. I had my 3-month-old puppy with me & he let me bring her inside while my partner & i shopped around. It had a little bit of everything, The staff working took their time helping us and showing us around. I'll definitely try to stop by here again next time I'm in the area.

Such a cute little store, they always have their lynx kitty running around and has been there forever, that being said something it smells a little like cat pee. You can find a lot of vintage cool items here though especially magazines

I'm only in town once a year but always make a stop here to please the inner child. I brought my son for the first time and he was speechless with all the cool things to look through and take home. Never have I left this place empty handed as it should be.

If your looking for obscure comics this is the place.A few things-The clerk was friendly and mostly aware of what he had and where it was-Disorganized, good luck finding those comics if he doesn't know-Comics are in ok condition, bags and boards are hit and miss-Price is a bit on the high end-Smells like cat urine

Benders is a great little shop - and a strong recommend for comics and toys.The best way to describe it is:That antique shop you see in the movies where they jusy so happen to have a monkey paw.Though in this case, instead of a monkey paw, it's some old-random memorabilia you likely didn't know you wanted!The Staff is friendly, and their selection is bonkers.My only complaint (which is also part of their charm) is how disorganized it is.This is great however- as sometimes you can find some really cool stuff!Especially as a Transformer collector, you never know what shenanigans you might find!

I found out about this place a few years ago and I'm glad that I did! The staff there are really nice and helpful, the selection of comics and other stuff on inventory is more than plentiful, and it's the first comic book shop I've been to that has a cat : ). A nice, quaint outta-the-way locale and I highly recommend going there and to check out all their amazing stuff.

Amazing store. Price points are extremely reasonable. It is fun checking out all of the items and looking through the shop. A lot of useful items for those who like trading cards, comics, books, superhero toys and more! We will be making this a regular place to check out. The cat is also beautiful and keeps to itself.

It was a lot of stuff in there, I mean, to see it all, you would need to spend quite a few hours just going through the totes of stuff. The comic area was pretty organized, but the toys were an OMG situation. If you have OCD I would not recommend this place, but if you like the idea of going through bins looking for treasures, this is the place for you. Good luck, and may the cat God in there ever been in your favor.

It's not just comics and action figures... they have a section with old science fiction and detective novels, including hard to find Ace Doubles and they're in good condition for their age and reasonably priced too. They also have a store cat who is very sweet and absolutely gorgeous!

This is a great place to look for buried treasure! They carry comics, toys, books, and classic, geek memorabilia. You might have to dig a bit. But the depth of their inventory is awesome! I was able to fulfill my classic horror, cold war spy, and weird, pulp paperback needs all in one place. The staff was friendly and helpful and the resident cat was charming!

Questionable when it comes to TCG packs. Opened somewhere in the range of 12-15k packs in the last few years and found some oddities with a common collectors card packaging here recently from Benders. Packs seemed to have been opened, resealed and resold. As stated I have had experience with opening these packs of cards fromVarious retailers across the country and never seen anything like it. I could totally understand if this was a 1 off situation but 6 packs from the same series had been repacked in a weird order, and sure enough of those 6 packs, there were no cards of value, nothing rare, nothing reflective and not even an online registration code which comes with all packs. Very odd.

Good place to find unique items, especially comics and toys (I always find something new, every time I visit). Reasonable prices and a wide variety of items ranging from toys, books, collectibles and comics. Parking can be an issue (always park in the back) and there are cats in the story (if you have allergies) so be prepared. Overall a good store to do business with.

I absolutely love this store. I stumbled upon it randomly and it's a hidden gem! Thousands of choices, the owner /staff are true comic geeks and are very friendly. He will help you find anything you need and most comics are at a very fair price. Newer comics are also at an affordable price I haven't seen elsewhere. Not to mention, he also has 2 sweet cats in the store.Please drop by if you're in the area! There's so many treasures in the store. Even if you're not a comic person (which I myself am not) you'll end up finding something. If not, you get to pet cats for fun. There's no real loss here 😁

There's an awesome and interesting array of things to find here. There are thousands of comic books, hundreds of regular miscellaneous books, adult magazines and more just for reading. There are old toys and action figures, DVD box sets of old TV shows, board games and more. It's great for any collector, enthusiast, or regular person who's interested in these kinds of things. The staff seemed very friendly and helpful if you needed anything. They even have super friendly cats laying around as a bonus for cat lovers.On the down side: the place is a disorganized mess, and it smells like cat urine as an unfortunate condition of their fluffy friends they have in there. There is a kind of chaotic order to where everything is, but it's still hard to find anything even remotely specific.I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who is interested in comic and movie culture. I would just also reccomend bringing a bottle of hand sanitizer with you.

Looking into the comic and book stores locally I stumbled onto this place and I expected a run of the mill regular comic book shop with the usual things to buy but there is something else to this place that has a little (or lots) of everything to offer to just about anyone. Nostalgia hits HARD a few times and I think I spent an hour walking around trying to decide what to buy. I found books and items from my favorite TV shows from the 90's I thought I'd never see and Pokemon cards from way back when I was involved in the Pokemon League at my old Toys-R-Us. Thank you Benders for this wonderful trip down memory lane. This place will get more of my business I'm sure and I hope others find and enjoy what they have to offer. The staff were cool and friendly and there is also a Cat that roams the shop. Walked up and meowed at me twice, very friendly cat.

What a gem! This place is huge and is literally loaded with comics and figurines and board games and various other things.We found movies, mugs, simpsons stuff, and even an 18+ section with playboy mags and videos….Friendly elder gentleman up front and a pretty linx store cat.Charming!

Simply AMAZING PLACE to visit! Ecclectic mix of comics, as equal mix of vintage toys & collectibles. Plan on spending a few hours, lots to dig through, but semi sorted in areas for most part. Reasonable prices, friendly staff! We came thru area traveling from Missouri and will be back!!

Benders is great for toys, comics, statues, books. Dave the owner is wonderful and very easy to work with. They sell collectables and have lots of hard to find second hand statues and toys as well as new stuff. They have cats in the store that are super friendly too.

Went in on a whim while on break at work, in this town. Stumbled upon this store and there are so many treasures inside, mostly all reasonably priced too, might I add. Could be considered cluttered or junkie, but I like digging through bins. Found a new graphic comic, will be back.

I've been collecting Comics & Toys for 25+years and by chance I was referred to this store by another Comic shop as I was looking for certain back issues to fill gaps in my current collection. Was told "they have a decent back issue inventory" ...that is a gross understatement!! I have never seen a shop that from the outside I add, looks like a dent in the wall, have SO MANY comics readily available, I'm talking prob 1/2 a million!!! Yes that's a guess but If you have seen the backroom you'll understand.

I've been collecting comic books for 35 years and been to shops all over the world. But, this is the BEST COMICBOOK SHOP I'VE BEEN TO!!! Not only does it have comic books dating back to the 1920's, but it also has collectibles from all eras. The staff are extremely helpful and will search for any rare item missing from your collection. I can't say enough about this shop. And whatever I write is still not doing it justice, go and experience the best comicbook shop you'll ever find.
