It's the best local spot in town. Good drinks, amazing food, and awesome staff! Cannot wait for the outside construction to be finished that will make this place epic! Anyone who had an issue with the servers' attention or wait times should revisit. Last night on the new patio, the place was standing room only, and they actually killed it. Controlled chaos could describe the scene, but everyone from the servers to the bar tenders and the kitchen staff handled it amazingly.Vegetarian options: The veggie burger is amazing!Parking: Not much parking in the front of the restaurant, but they have a pretty good-sized lot directly across the street. Crosswalks are conveniently located directly to the entrance.Kid-friendliness: Kids burgers, hot dogs, chicken tenders, and Mac and cheese are available along with fries, tater tots, and onion rings!

My girlfriend and I have adored this place ever since we found it 3 years ago when we helped a friend move to grottoes. They quickly became a staple for us for any anniversary or birthday and a favorite for a quick beer and some fries after work. The servers are phenomenal and friendly every time, the cooks are amazing (coming from a fellow cook of 13 years) and their consistency in their work is impressive. I’ve never had a burger cooked wrong here and they’re always juicy and well built. This place is a masterclass in what a restaurant in a small town should aspire to be. They’re beyond impressive for what they’re doing and hopefully they’ll be around many more years to come.

This is a decent spot. However, I think the menu is a bit pricey for the kind of food and quality they serve. The burgers are okay but for the price. You could eat at Jack Browns for a similar price and get a better burger. The atmosphere is nice. I really enjoy the outdoor seating and the acts they have there at night. All in all it's a nice place to go.

Amazing shakes! Great burgers! Nice atmosphere!Long review: we were recommended to go after leaving the local cave tours. We are very glad we did! My wife and I split the loaded fries, and got the chili on the side. Their chili is very meaty based and has no beans which is perfect for dogs and fries. I got the Big Gus Burger which is a 9oz burger with a fried egg, lots of cheese and sauteed onions. I got the onions on the side. My wife got the Lil Gus Burger which was a 6oz burger cheese, fried onions and bacon and it was amazing. Next time I will get the Lil Gus Burger. Both were great! We also got the Grottoes Dog, which is a bacon chili dog. The dogs are not beef dogs, which isn't a bad thing as they often cause gastric irritation in people. We also split a strawberry shake... It was amazing. It actually tasted like real strawberries not just a powder added to vanilla ice cream.I would definitely recommend and will return when we got back to the nearby caves.

Stopped in for lunch on a whim while driving through on the way to the caves. Service was prompt, pleasant and accurate. Really enjoyed our time here- very friendly atmosphere overall. Gyro was tasty with ample meat, feta and other fillings on a soft pita. Sadly the Kitchen was out of chicken for the Greek grilled chicken sandwich so we ordered the burger. burger was generous and cooked perfectly. Fries were ok- skinny cut and seems like they may have been frozen previously but still good. Onion rings were outstanding. Entire basket of onion rings was crispy on the outside, hot and juicy on the inside with loads of sweet onion flavor. Very enjoyable experience. Will be happy to return sometime.

They hosted a car show this weekend. While the food was good, they were grossly overpriced for what it is. Adding almost 4.00 to a hamburger meal for fries is ridiculous. They also really struggled to keep up. We went with friends and had two tables next to each other. Our table got the drink and food order in at the same time. Our friends table sat there. Our children’s drinks arrived but our beer didn’t. After 30 minutes our food arrived and I asked the young gentleman about our beer. He said “that’s not my job, I don’t know what to tell you, we’re busy if you didn’t notice” Our friend table never even got waited on after sitting for 30 minutes plus, so they left. My son asked for ranch and the waitress huffed at us audibly. While I understand it was a busy time, staff appropriately and get organized and if you have employees willing to say to a customer it’s not their job, it may be time to clean house. I won’t be back. While the food was good, the service lacked horribly and the expense of 94.00 for 4 to each was stupid expensive for hamburger meals.

I wish i could give you a - 5 stars. We took our 2 year old grandson there for lunch yesterday and let me tell you this is no place for a 2 year old. The people setting at the bar having one to many were carrying on a conversation no one under 16 should hear.The food was nasty. He couldn't eat the hot dog because he couldn't chew it. Then we made the mistake of ordering him a $6.50 milkshake. We ordered strawberry but it tasted like sour milk and was so runny like they had put pink food coloring in some water. We asked for a refund but they said they couldn't do that. Not sure why they couldn't just refund us the money. Asked why but they never said why.So they fixed another one and it was worse then the first one. Best believe we won't be returning to this place again. Thank God there's one in luray that almost everything is like what they had down town in Harrisonburg for years.Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly at all.

Visiting from MI and I can tell you our group of 6 adults were not only treated as friends, but served AMAZING FOOD! The inside was busy so we asked to sit outside in their tent/table area. Very comfortable area, music playing, and the owner himself kept our drinks full and served us our food with great friendly humor! The Philly steak sandwich is the best we have had, and that's a lot coming from some true die hard Philly steak fans. We asked for tater tots and they were perfectly crispy. Can't say enough about this visit. 5 STARS ALL THE WAY!

Been here twice. Not set up for a large crowd. Never got waited on and left both times without any thing to eat. The food I did see looked good as it made its way by me. Maybe another time, we will see.

I’m sure tourists from the caverns end up here often, not sure if they love it like we did! With the beautiful weather coming, there was lots of locals outside preparing for music and having a blast inside as well. Our server, Destiny was so sweet and the burgers were SO good. My teenager talking about traveling back just for that! Thanks y’all! Have a good summer

For a very rural restaurant, this is an absolute gem of a find in Grottoes near Grand Caverns.Very country bar feel, and the food was soooo tasty. I've never had a Philly cheese steak sub that uses actual chunks of real, high grade steak. All the food was very fresh and the kids loved it. THANK YOU for making an awesome meal for us after our family trip!Kid-friendliness: Small kids menu but great portions

They need to stick to hamburgers and hotdogs first time there for breakfast had a choice of three sandwiches two were wraps one was a biscuit the bacon was not cooked fatty it was horrible and the potatoes appeared to be smashed up tater tots smothered in peppers and onions. The two stars for the server, very nice.

Food was great, but honestly couldn’t believe the service we received. From the beginning of our meal to the end, my fiancé and I couldn’t exchange ten words to each other due to the waitresses conversation at the bar. As we sat at the booths, we listened as these two ladies spoke to each other about their personal lives for the whole restaurant to hear. Unable to enjoy the first date night we’ve had in months at a new place we had never been, I think if we return, it’ll be take-out.
