My wife and I take our dog here all the time. Staff is friendly and very attentive to the animals. They are reasonable priced for day / night stays and just to emphasize how well they take care of the animals our dog Toby was jumping at the gate to get in and barking excitedly to be there again.

Our cat,Beanie had wound on his left front leg. Being an outside cat I was concerned about someone handling him. Thought he would be wild and hard to handle.The staff was great. It was a Saturday morning and we were worked in. Very caring staff and Beanie was in good hands. Thanks for saving his toe!

Yall are the reason my cat is dying!! This doctor name Coats or Cotes that my mom had NEVER seen, saw my cat last week and claimed him to have “feline asthma” WRONG!!! HES DYING AND YOU DIDNT THINK TO CHECK HIM THOROUGHLY!! I don’t know why you’re so incompetent but DOCTOR COATS/COTES you need to retake classes!!!!!! This cat is my baby, and I’m devastated bc I’ve had him since he was a kitten, he was my first cat and now I’m losing him due to the negligence from YOU!! Thanks a lot.

I’ve been taking my pets to Gretna Animal clinic for over 45 years. They’ve taken care of our horses, cows, cats, and all of our many dogs over the years! All the vets have been great, especially Dr. Wright, Dr Hooke, and Dr Dalton! They all have seen me through much happiness & tears. Professional care at its best!

This place is the absolute best. We are new to the area and couldn't find a vet in Rocky Mount who would see our very sick dog. We ended up contacting Gretna Animal Clinic and they worked her in the same day. The staff and doctor were incredibly caring and knowledgeable. This is where we will be taking our animals!!

I have dealt with different vets over thirty years and Gretna is the best one ever. This last visit was to help our elderly cat move on to the bridge...hadn't eaten in 5 days, trouble breathing. We called Mon morning around 9:30 and they worked him in by 11:15. Very caring towards my Bandit. Vet is always easy to talk to and he is very good. Highly recommend them.

I love Gretna Animal Clinic that have been my vet since I got Tessa. I recently went out of town for ten days and for the first time since I got Tessa in November 2019 after losing my husband I had to leave her. My emotions were in every direction. I worried about her thinking I had left her for good. But the staff was so reassuring that they would take good care of her and I knew they would but it just tore my heart having to leave her. I received daily text from them, many pictures of her which really reassured me she was just fine. I’ve used the Gretna Animal Clinic for the vet care of our pets for 12 years(since we moved to VA from PA). I have always received excellent care from their staff. The Dr.’s & staff are wonderful. I recently took our 11 year old dog, Harley in to be checked as he was limping pretty bad & also had a fairly large lump between his front legs. That’s when I met Dr. Ben Coates. He was absolutely wonderful with his care for Harley. I’m so thankful that I have the care I do for my pets. Dr Coates & the staff at GAC get a 5 star from me

So thankful for this place.....They saved my dogs life.After being totally misdiagnosed from Lynchburg critical & Urgent care the night before.This place let me bring my dog in ASAP and had to have surgery that day. Words can’t express the gratitude I have for all of them. They treated me and my dog with love and care and NOT just $$$$.I would recommend this place to everyone.Prices are cheap!!!Care is awesome!!!Staff are professional!!!!

Gretna Animal Clinic was the first place we took our precious dog, and his last place.The staff was and is always friendly and compassionate.Dr Phillip Dalton was so kind and made the difficult process much easier. I love taking my Boston Terrier Ruger to them they are always super friendly and explain everything where I can understand it. She just had surgery the doctor was great kept me informed about everything she's all healed up now and wide-open ready to run Ruger loves it there and is always happy to see them

We drive 45 minutes to go here passing many others. They take care of all our critters, can do a lot on site, board and really inexpensive. The doctors accommodate my older dogs mobility challenges and I truly believe they love him like I do. They are mindful about costs, and the doctor will even call me at home to see how ChaCha's is doing. They send me reminders on when my dogs need their shots or whatever which is very helpful
