For a smaller Food Lion, this store has some of the hardest working individuals I've ever met. The store manager is a professional that knows how to run a store with passion and care. They are conveniently located next to my job and is a quick stop for groceries on the way home.

I gave them 3 stars because the employees are friendly, but they really need to pay attention to their produce. I won't shop at this location anymore because of the nasty produce. Twice I got home & noticed mold on what I just purchased. First time was strawberries, second was blueberries. It wasn't worth the gas money to drive all the way back, & I shouldn't have to inspect produce for mold before I buy it. It wasn't just a little mold either. I'll drive the extra 10 minutes to Chatham from now on.

This Food Lion is a good one to go to. I found everything I was looking for including deli, ketchup, tomato sauce, soda, and bread. The staff were very polite and I was able to do my shopping with little hassle. I would recommend anyone to come here to do their grocery shopping.

I'm big on customer service. A friendly face, smile, a hello, how are you goes a long way with me and I don't mind spending my money. But each time there is someone standing there not smiling and don't even speak, so I gotta pull out a hello really gets to me. It doesn't hurt to smile and say hello, welcome to Foodlion. Just get a "do you have a MVP card". REALLY!

Unprofessional, almost got ran over by the cleaning lady (who did nothing but give me a glare), cashiers do not interact with their customers, no eye contact, have to wait forever for the customer service desk. Poor customer service.Well stocked shelves though- but I truly believe it's because nobody wants to shop here....

I found what I needed easily,along with a few impulse items that were on sale. The cashier was friendly and helpful. She got the 24 pack of water and put it in my cart. The store was very clean and orderly.

I love our local food lion. The cashiers are so kind one helped me load a program on my phone for more savings and coupons!( I'm not very tech savvy) the organic isle has increased and shows fresh produce, as well as organic choices on the other aisles. I see they now carry "fresh" plant based burgers in the meat aisle, not the frozen hockey puck version. The store is always clean and the cashiers know most everyone by name, it's small town and for the same amount of miles drive, I choose food lion over Walmart anyday. I never have to scan groceries or if I'm needing assistance a real person can help me carry the groceries to my car. I enjoy food lion and shop there weekly. My love how they are future forward thinkers and more plant based, organic alternatives are offered and stocked. While we do eat meat, we often enjoy meat alternatives as well; they have organic , grass fed meat to choose from. It fits an array of shoppers preferences!👏👏👏

I can go to Altavista or Tightsqueeze Food Lion and the store is beautifully stocked every time.The Gretna store cannot order to keep shelves stocked and it looks like a bomb went off, nothing is where it belongs, bare shelves, sale items not on shelves. . .I keep hearing the excuse that it's a warehouse issue, but the two other stores within 15 miles keep their shelves stocked and I know they share a warehouse with one of those two stores.If they weren't the only game in town, I would boycott this store.

I'm staying in Gretna while working nearby. At the Gretna store everyone has been helpful when asked where to find a product. Cashiers are always friendly.

my grandmother came here and picked up some muffins when she got home I tried one and it was hard we looked at the date and it had expired 2 months ago. I went to take them back and the cashiers were all standing around talking, when I told them about it and handed them the receipt they asked me if I had gotten it from there store. Long story short they tried to tell me I was a liar and tried to not refund me my money. BUTTT why would I sit there and try argue over some muffins like I have other things to do then argue about some muffins that cost 2.50

I love my foodlion. Only complaint I have is they play their music way to loud. It's hard to concentrate with the loud music.
