I travel over an hour to see this vet because he is very personable and gives my family more than 1 option if possible when concerning treatments. I unfortunately have to leave 1 star review due to his unprofessionalism involving prescription authorizations.Dr. Bailey refuses to authorize prescriptions if not ordered directly from him. My Doberman has urinary incontinence and needs medicine daily. Dr. Bailey suggested a new med with less harmful effects. I agreed to it but the medicine did not take. It would not work. She was still leaking all over my house so we changed her medicine back to what it was before for a week and then change the milligram and decided to try extended release. It worked like magic.With the new prescription I originally tried to order from Petco, but it was not authorized, so it was canceled the very next day. I didn’t understand why? I called the vet to get it authorized again, so he did it but since I didn’t place another order with Petco, his authorization wasn’t obtained for their records. I called back told the office what happened. I was told he wouldn’t authorize it again because Petco should have it. I called Petco. They did NOT have it. With all this being said, he refused to authorize an outside company but I could order directly from him. I had NO other OPTION. All of it being out of my control.2 months later, my dog Allison’s prescription has 8 pills left. I have plenty of time to order from chewy or Petco. I place the order with chewy, call the vet to let them know and the next day the order was NOT authorized. It was cancelled. I called the vet office to see what was going on and they left a note for Dr. Bailey. He called me directly told me that he had authorized 9 prescriptions in the past for Allison and 9 authorizations is his limit because it wastes his time. If my prescription was authorized at Petco like he told me. I would not have to call my vet. If I had 9 current prescriptions authorized, I WOULD USE 1 OF THEM and I wouldn’t have to contact the vet that clearly wants me order directly from him.The options given to me where to drive 1 hour there and back for a handwritten prescription or order Allison’s medicine from them.I don’t think I’ve ever had a vet say that they are wasting their time when doing their job. This was the first for me. I suppose authorizing accurate prescriptions isn’t part of their job.

Again, Dr. Bailey and his staff are the absolute best ever. They go out of their way to take care of our kids. Pets ARE the only kids some people have and Dr. Bailey respects this. If he could, I think he would not charge anyone for his services. Millions of heartfelt thanks, again, go to you all.

Very affordable! Lovely environment - as well as great workers!!! Everyone was very welcoming and helpful! Dr. Bailey and his team are great! I’m glad to have my boxer puppy in their care, very reliable vet. It was our first time taking our (10week old at the time) boxer, Dr Bailey and his team made us feel very comfortable and cared for.

Dr. Bailey and his staff are amazing. They calmed my very anxious dog without the use of heavy sedation so that we were able to have a successful and pleasant visit. Everyone was kind and patient, very clean and welcoming atmosphere. I highly recommend.

I just had to call to see if they could my cat down. She has been my pet for 17 years and was suffering. Our Vet had Retired. I called here because of the Reviews. One Review stuck out about having to put their pet down and they had a vacation home here. The Vet was very caring and they would be back again. The answer I got was that since I was a New Patient that it would be 2 weeks before they could see her and I might want to call around. My pet would suffer and or die during that time. I am so angry that this is how I was turned away. I would never reccomend that anyone would take their pet to such callus people tha they would put a pet through that. I was not asking to be a New Patient, but for some Compassion for an animal. Thats not somewhere you should take your pet.

The staff has been amazing. I have taken both my cat and dog here. Dr. Bailey is very thorough when explaining anything. I always feel like all of my questions and concerns are addressed before I leave. I also never feel like I need to take out a small loan when going. They also offer boarding for approx $12/night for cats and $19/night for dogs, which I don't think is a horrible price. Definitely recommended.

Dr. Bailey is a great vet. Friendly people and always goes the extra mile to let you know whats poisonous to your animals. He knew what was wrong with our dog even before he done all the work up but still done tge work up to make sure. Would recommend this vet to anyone.

Amazing staff and the Doc is awesome. We had an emergency with our dog and it was after hours and they where there for us immediately. And I've been to other Vets on the shore too. And I wouldn't trust no other Vet but them.

Horrible. Misdiagnosis and Hysterectomy that was probably unnecessary and ignored the source of her infection, a plugged mammary gland.That's right "Doc", I'm entitled to my opinion. In my neighborhood my opinion counts for a lot. That's why I'll never refer anyone else to your practice.Update. I mentioned that her mammary gland was still full of milk after nursing when I gave her history to the receptionist, but apparently she didn't think it pertinent in her notes. Either she didn't write it down or you ignored it as you were convinced that it was metritus, based on the urinalisis. Metritus typically shows up within a couple days of the birth. She had her puppies four weeks ago and showed no signs of bleeding or discharge of any kind. She sleeps in my bed all night, and on my sofa all day. If she had a retained placenta, there would be some evidence four weeks ago.Other than the full mammary, she was in perfect health six hours before I called your office.At that point it was still pink and appeared healthy, but full of milk. You let her suffer like that for three days and didn't mention it until it swelled to the point there was no circulation and it turned black with necrosis and only mentioned that as you were prepping her for the hysterectomy. That obviously is the source of the infection that the urinalysis detected. And that was hanging right there in front of your nose for three days.I think you're in for a serious dose of karma and I don't believe your ill gotten gain is going to provide much comfort.This is your picture. You sent it three days after I brought her in.

Great service. I've been taking my dogs here since they were puppies and they love the staff and veterinarian even though they have had many shots and a few surgeries. Wouldn't go anywhere else!

If I could give them negative stars I would. The only reason I'm giving them 1 star is because I have to in order for this to post. On 8/3 I dropped off my 2 dogs (Romeo: Shiatsu and Pekinese mix, Juliet: Pure breed lab). When I picked them up, the receptionist said the doctor was going to talk to me about Juliet because he prescribed antibiotics for her. After waiting for 15 minutes, I said I had to go to work. After putting them in the car and driving for 5 minutes, my daughter asked did I see the marks on Juliet's legs. I told her no. When I got home, she had multiple open scabs on her back legs and paws!!!! There were at least 8 of them on each leg!!! There are 2 on her ears and 4 on her belly. We did not receive a call during their entire stay letting us know. Juliet did not arrive in that condition. If she did, the staff there would have told us something. If she was in that condition, I would not have allowed her to stay there knowing she had open wounds. How do run a business based on the quality of care of animals and don't have the decency to inform the owners when something goes wrong? I will never bring my dogs there ever again. I suggest you do the same.

It's disappointing not to be allowed inside with your pet during the exam. I like to observe how my pet is handled by the staff and how my pet reacts to them. Perhaps next year will change that and I'll feel more at ease then.
