This place was exceptional! It is a charming restaurant with an excellent menu! Breakfast is served all day, which gets huge marks from me!I had a BLT and potato soup while my son had a cheeseburger. I do not even like tomatoes on my BLT but they were so fresh I did not pick them off.:) The soup was chock full of potatoes and tasted like something my grandma Annie would have made. I also got a huge piece of lemon cake with candied lemons (only $4).The atmosphere though was my favorite part of the restaurant. People were genuinely friendly to each other and the place just seemed to foster community. Regulars seemed to sit together at one table. We had great discussions with tables next to us about fishing and books.We will be back even though it is a drive to get there! Such a wonderful experience!

Goochland restaurant meets so many marks in regards to the food, service and atmosphere. You get exactly what one would expect from this charming and well-run restaurant. I have ordered from their on multiple occasions and also had the opportunity to dine in and have never been disappointed. I am fond of Cheeseburgers, and I have enjoyed theirs every time which shows a certain attention to detail and these days, a rare consistency.

My husband and I enjoyed some good breakfasts here yesterday. We both got the breakfast bowls with bacon. Wow that bacon is so delicious! I also asked if they could add fried onions to my bowl. They said yes, with a smile. It really added flavor to my bowl and I would add that to my bowl next time. In the past, I have enjoyed having fried onions added to my breakfast potatoes. I really love their breakfast potatoes!! So good.

Absolutely a fantastic place to eat for breakfast, lunch or dinner! I have enjoyed both breakfast and dinner here and the food was fresh and delicious! Breakfast omelettes are cooked just right and filled perfectly- I had the veggie omelette. The strawberry fields salad for dinner was amazing! I am gluten free and plenty of options❤️

Christine has done a wonderful job reviving a Goochland landmark (adding her own twist)… sourdough breads, homemade baked goods, and best breakfast around! For years the locals have met at the restaurant sitting at “ the big table” and sharing the news of the day! Christine and her waitstaff are super friendly! Kid friendly… my grands look for the hidden possum to get a special treat! Great sandwiches and French fries! Delicious burgers! Friday night they stay open for supper and my husband likes the country fried steak and I like the hamburger steak in gravy with mashed potatoes and green beans! The experience is worth the trip! If you haven’t gone in years! Try it … you will like it! Enjoy!

Awesome small town diner! We stopped in on our way out of Virginia and it was a great decision! The food was delicious, highly recommend the breakfast bowl! The service was great, our server was very nice and helpful. And the place itself has very small town diner vibes. Definitely recommend if you're passing through and want a good bite to eat and soak in the vibes!

We stopped here on our way home from my Birthday celebration weekend. The staff was amazing. We met another Birthday buddy and child of God. I had a special made to order Veggie sandwich on Rye that was delicious. Pancakes are awesome. Don't skip this rare gem.Kid-friendliness: Special surprise for Kids qhen they dine in.

Great service and super friendly! Food was a decent, not a ton of options in a small town. It’s really does take you back 30 years ago inside which I think is super cool. I’d give it another try for sure.I had chicken fried steak and eggs. Seemed a bit salty. Maybe someone stubbed their toe.

I had been camping at the nearby state park and was looking for some breakfast. Once again, a short Google search served me well. The restaurant has a cozy and wholesome atmosphere. All the staff were very friendly and frequently checked back with me. I had an omelet and a blueberry pancake. The food was great. I plan on returning again when I have a camping trip planned.

This has become my new stop when coming home from the mountains.Last fall stopped in last fall after closing my place down for that season.Was very impressed with everything. Service, portion size and quality.This weekend met the owner. She said they have been in business since 1968. Not many place left like this gem. So, if you miss the Old Mom & Pop's places of your youth. You need to stop in. Trust me, you won't leave disappointed.Updated reviewNew owners of the restaurant.Since taking over have stopped twice.Service has been extremely slow with min customers. Also, complete orders now arriving together as orderedHave stopped twice in last 4 months and nothing has changed.It’s a shame. This place was a diamond in the roughStop in again this morning do to all the positive reviews.Had the exact same issue as last time.After placing order. Over heard waitress tell new arriving customer’s that there was a 40 minute wait. Ok, took that fine. Was in no rush.30 minutes later. Owner brings out our order incomplete. Just like our experience 11 months ago. Only thing it was missing were the eggs. Over easy for my wife and sunny for me.She states that she just wanted us to have something. I state that the eggs are the main part of the dish and regardless. I will still have to wait. She snaps at me, well I’m trying.If I’m cool with waiting. Please give me my complete meal. Without the rude comments when I express my disappointment in the service

Fantastic restaurant. Food is reasonably priced $18 for me and my wife. Waiter was very sweet and food came out as fast as our favorite Mexican restaurant. Very impressed and will likely be returning. Only complaint is they were playing Christmas music before Thanksgiving!
