Huge “thank you” to Brandon at the Home Depot. My family decided to upgrade our entire kitchen appliances with new gas range, refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave (with exhaust fan). After we decided on a brand, Brandon was more than helpful with us. We decided on a suite of Samsung products. Currently, there is a special discount if you purchase a refrigerator and three additional appliances you get an additional 15% off. Plus, with a veterans discounts on peripheral items we had a great price and it’s all going to be delivered to our home. The only issue I have is that Home Depot sales gas stoves, but they DO NOT install/connect them. Which I do not understand. You sale the items, charge me for the installation yet I have to hire someone else to actually finish the job. Now I have to wait for the delivery, and have a gas line person actually connect my gas appliance. While they offer “free” delivery, they get you if you want the old items hauled away. Between $40-50 for each appliance to be hauled away. So the savings that you thought you go just kind of makes you break even. While Brandon was a terrific salesman and able to answer any/all my questions the nickel and dime of the additional services leaves you feeling so-so about the purchase. Total understanding the business end, and hold nothing against Home Depot. If you’re in the market for a quality merchandise and great salespeople check out Home Depot in Gloucester, VA.

This is my go-to place for finding items needed in redoing my home. Usually, I find what I need and often for less than competitors. I guess the difference is the store is geared more towards tradesman n handy homeowners. Their kitchen design crew was very patient and helpful. Often you can find "bargains and buys" in the main aisles. Sometimes you can find some chic touches for your home but you will have to have a good eye to find them, but they are there! The staff very helpful and eager to please. The store is always clean and welcoming and it's really easy to find!I recently returned to see they have improved their lighting department . Went to buy a stove. Drove an hour to get there. Apparently, they do not believe that people might need a stove immediately, so they don't keep them in stock. The appliance lady wasn't particularly friendly about telling us that. Fortunately, the Lowe's up the road has plenty of stoves in stock, so since they actually want to sell products, that's where I bought a shiny new stove, and a few other things, too.

I absolutely love this Home Depot ... I just moved from my beloved Colonial Williamsburg to Gloucester and just getting acquainted to all the stores on this side of the river ... I find their prices affordable and compatible to other similar stores ... Right now a lot of their Garden center plants are on sale ... Sis and I bought a very nice stainless steel kitchen work table and it was delivered yesterday Fed X ... I toured their Garden Center and am so pleased at all they have and not bad prices ... Can't wait until Spring because there will be so much more ... I am going to be 71 and my twin sis too on the 20th and I am old and gray ... but I had 4 young men that work at Home Depot ask me if I needed any help ... They were polite and courteous ... I was there right at opening so maybe I just got lu KY ... Most workers wear masks but there are no mask requirements to enter store nor are there anyone wiping shopping carts ... I do see hand sanitizer in main store ... I for one wish ALL stores still pursued safety first ... Any hoot ... It's a HUGE parking lot and 2 entrances ... 3 if you count the Garden Center when they are open ... It's a great location ... A bit tricky getting into their parking lot ... You enter the intersection where Chicken Filet is and turn just past Chicken Filet ... Drive straight until you get to the very last parking lot on you left and Home Depot being the LAST store on your left ... The several times I have been in there I have always been able to find a very helpful worker and they have even taken us right to what we were looking for ... On 10/17/23 I ordered an electric lawnmower, an electric weed eater, and a set of long handled pruning shears. I was informed that because the shears and lawnmower were in stock at my local store (this location) I would receive same day delivery. As I was home I was hoping Id be able to make some use out of them, but they never arrived. Instead I received an email from Home Depot at 8:15pm that my delivery was canceled because "no one was home to sign for the delivery". As tis was obviously not true I called the customer service number and the associate helpfully called the store to get an explanation, then rescheduled my delivery for today, 10/18/23 and apologized for not being able to get an explanation as to why my delivery was canceled.This morning at 9:27am while at work I received an email saying my items were out for delivery, but then received another email at 11:17am saying the delivery had been canceled yet again, and again because "no one was home to sign for the delivery" even though the same email acknowledged no signature was required.This time when I called customer service I was first assured that no, my delivery was not canceled and the second email was sent in error, and gave me a tracking number for my items. The tracking number, when put in to the site, said my delivery was canceled. Once again I called customer service and explained the issue, this time asking that either my items be delivered today as promised or that I be given a refund as I was not interested in rescheduling once again when twice before their delivery people had failed to do so and for false reasons.Once again they had no answer as to why my delivery was canceled and could not even give me an answer as to how they were going to address the issue of their delivery people outright lying and not performing their duties. When told they could not try to deliver my items today and would have to reschedule again, I was forced to argue in order to get my order canceled and a refund processed, and as it stands given the standard of service I've already received I'm anticipating having to report fraud through my bank before I see my money returned.I am never buying anything from this location again unless forced, and then only if I physically go into the store, find it myself, and bring it home myself. Whoever they use for local deliveries clearly cannot be trusted and the management is either incapable or unwilling to hold them accountable.

Probably not the best of the big box hardware stores. I spread 12 bales of STRAW bought at HD in the walkways of my veggie garden. Straw in most of the world is just grain chaff, not the seed part. HD STRAW had so many seed heads, my walkways were chock full of grass and weeds before the veggies even sprouted.

I came into the store in need of a dishwasher. The dishwasher wasn't in stock, so I ordered it from a nice lady who was very helpful. She also talked me into upgrading to a better model for extra cost.Fast forward a few days later - I received notification on my phone that my dishwasher is about to get delivered. I rushed home from work and missed the drivers, but all is ok because they left the dishwasher on my doorstep. The bad news is I waited about 10 days after I found someone to install it for me and discovered the damage to the door. Called Home Depot and was told that they could not do anything for me because I was supposed to inspect it within 48 hours of delivery. So now I'm just out of luck. After spending $800 on a dishwasher, I'm so disappointed. So, for anyone who is reading this, make sure you inspect your product before receiving it.Fast forward again -I guess someone in management saw my post. A few days later, after posting the above, another band new dishwasher showed up at my doorstep. This time, I inspected it, and all is good in perfect condition. Thumbs up to Home Depot!

Their whole sales system is garbage. Went in to return an item and the cashier couldn't find it in the system even though I used my actual home depot card to pay for it, I found it in my email and got the order number and they still couldn't find it. I'm blown away at how incompetent the sales team is, and the app is just as bad. They were able to pass it off to a gift card which I can't even use to buy anything online or through the app because it's an invalid payment method. What a joke. From what I see the store sales and online sales are on separate systems and can't communicate with each other so good luck if you try to return anything.

This 5 star review is totally credited to the young woman at the paint counter. She was knowledgeable, friendly and sincere. She asked questions to point us in the right direction, and got us EXACTLY what we needed. I can't say enough about how impressed I was by the assistance she provided this past Saturday. You have a gem there, Home Depot!

The paint employee Denise was very rude and short when I was asking for a color match on a paint I needed. Me asking if she thought the color match looked like a semi gloss or Hi gloss enamel bothered her as well. It would be nice to have a more helpful paint attendant that isn’t rude when asking a few questions.

Had such a wonderful experience at this Home Depot. The store is exceptionally clean, well-stocked and organized. The staff was very helpful and kind. Even the men's room was super clean and nice. Very high standards in this store. I will be back. Highly recommend!

Nothing wrong with this store in particular, it's just Home Depot as a whole. They provide an app that tells you what they have and where it is, except the materials and tools they tell you they have may or may not be available and they are almost certainly not where the app says they are.This one was socked as well as any other, and the personnel were helpful and willing. Home Depot just really needs to repair the tools they provide.

Sales staff was great but delivery is another matter. I paid extra for my appliance to be brought inside the house but the delivery guys dropped it on the front porch and ran. I've called twice to try to get it resolved- either a refund or to come back and set it inside. So far no resolution and so there it sits on the front porch. My advice-go to Lowes.

Ordered 5 “ Amerinex gutter connectors. They said they would be there the next day. Go to pick them up, everything was Spectra and doesn’t fit. Completely wrong item.Now we have to drive 2.5 hours out the way to go somewhere that actually has what we need.
