I have never been a TJMaxx fan honestly but, the store in Gloucester, Va. is great! It is clean and well organized. The employees are really helpful and kind. I am very small for an adult and they actually carry size 0-2 jeans!!! I was impressed and they fit great!!! I only wish they carried size 5 shoes, they start at size 6. I will definitely be back for clothes. It is so nice to have a local store, versus on line shopping.

Love TJ Maxx. This store doesn't have the inventory that other TJ Maxx locations have, I assume because Gloucester is so rural, but it's still a good store. Always clean with cute seasonal decor.

I’ve been here several times, and I will keep coming back. The staff is super friendly, very great customer service. I came a few days before Christmas to buy what I thought would be a small gift for kids I babysit for, however I ended up buying more than expected, one of the workers saw me struggling to carry it all, and was so kind enough to ask me if I needed a cart. I said that would be nice and she quickly took the stuff she was putting on the shelf out of the cart she was using and allowed me to use it very nice young lady. Another time I was here with my fiancé and one of the workers was very insightful about the store and the items we were purchasing.

Went in for men's clothing. This store has a men's section about 1/8 the size of the women's. This was our 3rd attempt. The other 2 times we went they were closed, even though we were there during business hours. We are limited for clothing stores in Gloucester. That should have been taken into consideration when they sized out each department. Didn't look around the store in other departments. Will update my review should I return.

Went in looking for one item, found it, but bought some other things..found a really cool iceball mold for my whiskey cocktails! Only thing is the store seemed unorganized and jumbled up...better store floor plan and organization is needed. Staff were friendly and courteous..I'll be back!

You may be thinking, "Really, a TJ Maxx review?"Yes, I am writing a review of my local TJ Maxx. Now, I'm not particularly fond of new development. About 2 years ago, from the adjacent Walmart, I looked on as building companies moved workers and heavy equipment into the empty lot (roughly 3.5-4 acres of plain dirt). Mere weeks passed before TJ Maxx, Rack Room shoes, MyPiePizza, etc.. had been built (although the latter two are quite irrelevant for this review). The experiences I have had there, though there have been few, have been great. Whenever I don't want to go to Walmart or my mom says, "Lets go to TJ Maxx," I merrily comply, as a faithful dog obeys his master (with an incentive, perhaps). But, I'm getting off topic. Nonetheless, I would recommend this establishment, not only for simple product purchase, but for a matter of convenience. Have you just spent an hour purchasing fine items of decor to adorn your new home? Head across the street and enjoy a custom pizza. This plaza has it all!

Great variety of products! Store was very clean and well stocked. The employees were very covid cautious; masks, cleaning every cart, and the registers after every customer. I was highly impressed!

Not family friendlyCame in to do some shopping with my child and went to use the restroom with the her in the cart as she gets into everything. I was approached by 2 associates telling me that I have to leave the (empty) cart outside the restroom, I’m not allowed to bring it in. I said the cart is empty, … which it was if you looked, they made me take my small child out to go use a restroom. This embarrassing and I have no decent words for such foolishness. We left after because I was completely ticked off. God forbid you have to use the restroom with a child in your cart, you better run across the street to Home Depot. Just disgusting…

If you are not under a size 8 you will not find any jeans or nice denim. The bra and underwear section is getting smaller. Especially if you wear size L or XL this place used to great. Terrible.

Smaller TJ Max store. Limited selection compared to the larger stores. Is always really clean and well organized. It's Christmas time and the clothing racks were in order, everything was on hangers correctly. The store manager runs a tight ship!

Have been their once, purchased a shirt and tie, prices weren't bad but they had a very limited selection of more formal men's clothing. Appeared to be more in the line of casual wear in their men's line.

Some employees are friendly and welcoming but seems for every nice person,there are 3 very rude and unfriendly, so much so that they will not smile nor speak to me (I always speak to everyone) and I smile as well. I shop at my tjmaxx only because it's close to home. I always spend upwards of $200.00 and more on BREAKABLE RAE DUNN, and I am always stunned when I get ask if I want any of my items wrapped????? Really? I don't think that I have ever second guessed wrapping breakable pottery...even ask when buying glass??? This happened at the last 3 stores located in different areas. Is this somehow a Tjmaxx policy or part of their training 🤔???
