Big lots is a great place to shop I bought a massive popcorn bag this thing is the biggest kind I've ever seen. I buy my laundry detergent Tide pods on a Downy unstopables their Jesus hot sauce and everything I need I have a bunch of knickknacks including signs that are hanging above my bed and it is a wonderful experience

Before you waste your time shopping for furniture at BIG LOTS, this has been my experience... While Big Lots seems to have a fair selection of reasonably priced furniture on the showroom floor, and online, much of what you'll find there is "Coming Soon" and can't be purchased/ordered. Even worse, Big Lots will put the furniture on sale knowing they don't have the product to sell. See "Coming Soon" in pics I've attached. (Both have been "Coming Soon" for months!)

This store has the most courteous and most helpful employees I've come across in a while. The store stocking of items and appearance has improved, but could still be a little better. Keep going Big lots. You're doing quite well!!.

Love shopping at this location always great price is always good deals this is one of my favorite places to go and get great furniture at low prices I also enjoy doing a little light shopping and always get my best Christmas gifts and Christmas accessories from big lots I am so excited when they have specials and when they do their discount we can pricing I am so happy to be a big loss? And a little one at that thank you big lots for all of your great deals and convenient locations

My experience during the day was fantastic. Thomas in furniture was exceptional in providing customer service. Toting three kids and loading furniture onto a truck was not an easy task. It’s unfortunate that the phone call my husband had later was not a pleasant one. He called to verify if the store would still allow him to retrieve the third part of the sectional we purchased as he wouldn’t be there until about 8:30-8:40pm. Even though there were workers available, because there wasn’t a guy available to load the furniture, he was informed he could not take the third piece. It’s unfortunate because according to the two women he spoke to, it wasn’t the time that was the issue, it was the fact that the person we dealt with earlier that day wasn’t there to help haul it out the back. My husband had already gone into the back with said employee earlier that day and even informed the two employees that he didn’t need their help hauling it; he simply wanted to be able to get it. They insisted that they would get in trouble and it was still no. It would be helpful if a representative from big lots (preferably the general or district manager) shed some light on this, as any employee should be able to work a dolly. There’s no specific certification needed for that. Also, if it was about how heavy it was, it being the smallest piece of the sectional, the two employees who answered the phone would have been more than enough man power to get it onto the dolly and roll it out. If it wasn’t for this incident, I’d have given 5 stars.

Been waiting to cash out for at least 10 minutes. I would understand if there was a short on staff but that's not the case. I have counted up to 10 employees working/just standing around. But they only have 1 line open

They have stepped up and now have very great selections and quality, name items. Stock rotates often so get the deals while they are available. Friendly staff.

We went in today me and my wife to buy an entertainment stand and Charlie in the furniture Department helped us out it was a very nice guy even helped me loaded into our car he's a very good employee Charlie helped out a lot I give you five stars Big Lots five stars employee help was totally awesome totally like the experience at Big Lots we will be back to shop some more and saw a lot of great deals but my wife was in a hurry and our kids were a little antsy so we had to head on out but thanks to Charlie or experience was even better

Thomas in furniture was great, my family and I purchased a Naples sectional. We left the store with two of the three pieces and planned to return later for the third piece. Shanda and Brandy would not me leave the store with my purchased furniture because they said “it was too late and they would get in trouble”. It was an hour before closing and the furniture had already been purchased earlier the same day. This location does not understand business and they were unprofessional in dealing with me as a customer.

Lets just say Ive had some bad experiences with the cashiers here. They need a WHOLE lot more training on customer service. I went online and commented on the rudeness and never heard back from anyone. So they will never hear from me.

Christmas Eve I needed a meat thermometer since mine broke and the only store that was still open was Big Lots. I looked on the isle but couldn't find any. The male assistant manager came over to ask if he could help me find anything. He found it for me and was very professional and nice. After I got a few more items the lines were getting back up at the registers. The cashier didn't even have to call the manager up for backup, he was on top of opening another register. He was extremely nice to all the customers and making small talk. He sincerely thanked all the customers for coming in. He seemed to really enjoy his job even though I am sure he would have liked to be home celebrating, he continually smiled. Sorry, I don't know your name, but you are awesome at your job!! Thank you!

I feel like they should work on customer service there's never an employer around and when you do have one you're standing at the register with only one person and seven in line so yes more customer service Gloucester county and it's not just you big lots it's everywhere

Today at Big Lots my experience was very pleasant the cashier or manager by the name of Carmen was very nice polite helpful way and Beyond it was nice the guys back there in the furniture Department was very helpful and nice as well so I have very very good experience the other day and will be returning on the June 30th for their big sale for 4th of July

Great Christmas stuff! They have alot of things on sale. Halloween clearance incl a life size Wolf that howls! I wouldve gotten it except it had blood around the mouth! 🤣 Anyway...check it out! Kudos to Gloucester Big Lots!!!

I was shopping for large items while having my 4 yr old granddaughter, who has ADHD, with me. The store manager Christy saw I was having difficulty , and helped me by basicly entertaining my granddaughter, with the most gentle manner, and I was able to make my purchases and get it all loaded into my car, thanks to Charlie. Christy even opened the car door for my granddaughter. All I had to do was literally buckle us up and drive home. Great experience!!!

The Gloucester and Yorktown locations will always be my favorites as the staff are typically attentive and the store is ALWAYS impeccably organized. Unlike the Newport news (Warwick avenue) location.
