I had difficulty purchasing a gift card through the self-checkout on April 15th. Luckily an employee named Rakele saw that I needed assistance and immediately came to the rescue. Not only did she help me complete the transaction properly but she did so cheerfully and without making me feel silly for not being able to do it myself. Rakele was my hero that day!

Purchased a Bosch dishwasher here. The sales person, Shei, was helpful, cheerful and professional and helped make the experience easy. A previous customer made a special effort to thank her while we were there, which was wonderful to see. Coordination for delivery, installation and removal of the old dishwasher was flawless, unlike previous experiences at Lowes. The delivery and installation team was fast, efficient and careful. All in all a great experience and recommended without reservation.

Ordered a zero turn online. Showed up with no key, no battery connection, or anything to even secure the battery. This was after they put it on the wrong truck and I didn’t get it on my actual delivery day. To top it off, they mailed the missing parts to me via snail mail. Totally ridiculous.

Went for tempered hardboard (aka Masonite). First clerk said it's not made anymore. Second one said he's new and doesn't know where things are, but wants to learn. Showed him a picture and he took us right to it. Would have given 1 star (first clerk) but averaged that with the second clerk.

Set a reservation for a truck, had an exact time we had to move. Show up and they tell us they don’t have a truck. Why couldn’t someone call and tell us. Now we have to scramble to hit our move in window. Thanks Home Depot, you suck. It’s Lowes from now on

I own over 30 rental properties and spend a huge part of my life(and lots of money) in Home Depot for renovations, repairs etc today I went in to buy a washing machine for a property and received the Worst customer service I've ever experienced. Stacy the manager in appliances...I've never encountered a more rude employee anywhere and will be shopping at Lowe's from now on.

Sandra or whatever her name is, the Assistant Manager of this store is the most dismissive manager I have ever met. I have gone to this location for years, will not again. We came into the store for a simple online pickup, I guess that was too much to expect the person that said “next in line” to actually do their job. She cancelled our order after condescendingly telling us that they split up our order. Instead of even giving us our options she cancels the entire card during Memorial Sale weekend so it’s completely inaccessible until the return is processed, a says she “did us a favor” and “can’t help their online inventory isn’t correct”. Seems to me the assistant management got a higher up position and felt they need to no longer do job responsibilities of employees below her. Or perhaps she just didn’t want to help anyone that was under 50 or dressed differently. Will be calling corporate about this one.

It was 6 o'clock on a Friday evening and I was on the hunt for a clearance item I had purchased at another Home Depot a few days earlier. Joe from the other Broad Street Home Depot had called the Glen Allen Home Depot to see if they had my Coconut Beach candles I was so desperately trying to find for my daughter-in-law! They had 9 of them! So I went charging down Broad St. When I got to the store, Ayaan was working the customer service desk. I asked him about the item and he told me they were up on a pallet. He would need to find someone certified to drive the forklift and find them! David was the forklift driver! They got the pallet down and there they were, 9 candles!These guys went above and beyond to help me. They need to be recognized for exemplary customer service. Thank you

Rude manager was the last straw...SMH at the self-important manager that shooed me away in a condescending and dismissive way due to "safety reasons" as I was outside just after closing checking out lawn tractors for an upcoming purchase.She claimed her staff was "busy working the area" - there wasn't a single person in sight for the 10 minutes I was there. If I thought that I was at risk or in the way, I would've left. It was crickets until, out of the darkness she came... 👹This $4000 purchase, and all other home improvement needs will not be at Home Depot. 👋 Lowe's customer 💯

It’s a fine store. We all know it. I generally prefer Lowe’s as I feel the prices are better and deals more transparent. I didn’t read the fine print on an advertisement from home depot that said there was free installation on appliances over a certain amount. I went to the Short Pump location, super busy and hard to find someone with whom to speak, and asked about that with microwaves. They never gave me the dollar amount for free installation, just that it didn’t cover microwaves. It would have cost me the price of another microwave to have one installed. Felt a little tricked by the advertisement to visit the store. I do this once every few years and then just remind myself why I don’t shop there. All-in-all, it’s a fine store, I just don’t feel like I have the time, patience, or money to do business with them.

I usually do not write reviews but the service I received yesterday is worth mention. I needed some help with Sheetrock. A young man named Tony was at the loading dock checkout counter. He went out of his way to be helpful to me. This kind of customer service is few and far between these days. Home Depot is lucky to have an employee like Tony. I hope he gets the recognition he deserves.

went to return a item I got for Christmas and they would not take it back due to not having a recept .I only wanted store credit was going to more cabinets for my project. I was instructed by the store and get a report and it would explain . got my return report and only showed I had returned 2.45 without a recept in a 2 year period no one in the store could explain why.

I am giving 5 stars because of the exception help from Jeff in plumbing, he is very very smart and knows his stuff. I have done plumbing for years and can say he's good. My well tank went and I needed some creative help and he helped me. Water is back on!!!
