The young man that checked me out was very helpful and friendly. I've never been to this Food Lion, so this was a great first time for me. I will return. I wish I could remember his name but I do know that he is only 17 years old and he takes pride in his job. You really don't see that much.

Great store always clean , organized with great people and customer service. Have all the top brand products plus their brands which are just as good but most of the time cheaper. Great convenient local grocery store.Nice to go somewhere that has not changed in Years. If not for places like Food Lion in your hometown that is still the same as always ! Great Grocery Store , you would feel lost in your own hometown. Still as always highly recommend.Food Lion Grocery is still the same and has not changed , still a great place to shop.Food Lion has not changed. Still great grocery store , if any thing it is better trying to keep prices down.

This Food Lion has the most beautiful Produce Dept in the area.Yes, even better than the fancy store down the road! There is not one veggie or bag out of place! It's the first thing you notice when you walk in the door and it knocks your socks off! Eddie has done a fantastic job! Thank you for all your hard work! It's people like you that make our local Food Lion the best place around to shop.

Food Lion does have great deals! Their produce really needs help! It doesn't look good, always gnats, and it doesn't last long before it rotten. Rewards and savings are always worth the trip.

The employees here are always so sweet and they always keep the store so clean. I love shopping at this Food Lion and also with the value card it's absolutely amazing to me how you can use your rewards towards your purchases there!! The other day I actually had just grabbed a Hershey's candy bar and was about to pay for it and didn't owe anything AT ALL because I was able to use my rewards!! That's so awesome!!!

Purchased a watermelon for a family gathering on Thursday of this week. Started to cut into it on Friday and it is nothing but mush inside. Tried to call to speak to someone in produce three times without an answer. There is no office number so I couldn't contact anyone there. Guess I'll have to find another place to shop.

Love this Store Always friendly helpful service, the shelves are well stocked. The meat is always fresh which is one of the biggest reasons I shop here. I've had problems in the past at other stores where it looks good then when you get it home it's brown in the middle and smells. Although I live in Big Stone Gap I gladly drive to Gate City to get my groceries knowing they will be fresh and less expensive than in Big Stone Gap.

I really like this location as the employees are very friendly. It is quick and easy to pick up a couple of things or a whole buggy full. Decent selection, deli is good and quick and decent prices. One draw back is the manager as I observed his desire to just stand around and talk when cashier's are very busy. He also berated and fired an employee in front of a customer who is a friend of mine.

Drove here due to someone on Facebook mentioning a sale, found out the sale was shady. The the price was supposed to be under 7 for a turkey one that rang up as 29.36 as it was 12 lbs. And the other was 19 lbs and was supposed to be under 10 and it rang up as 43.12. Apparently to get the deal you have to spend 35 dollars on something else. That is so much misrepresentation it's unbelievable. They returned it because I chip carded before I realized the price. Ridiculous.

What I grew up with. Some meals taste more like what mom made. Guess it's not all love in the food... 😉 Cheaper than most other stores. It may not have giant useless extra depts, but what I need. Clean store too.

Great place to get what you need! I am not a shopper I am a buyer. I frequently stop to pick up what I need on my way home. At 27 miles away it is the last stop before I get to the house.Good prices, service, fresh produce, MVP discounts, quick easy access, short lines - friendly people .Good brick and mortar store supporting younger people entering into the work force and older individuals with wisdom, knowledge, skills and abilities . But always familiar faces.Good value for the dollarNot the least expensive store but well worth the extra expense.

They have good sales and are clean. The meat Dept could improve a bit. Meat stays fresher for longer from Food City. Overall a good store tho. I save an average of $20 each shopping trip here versus going to Food City.

needs new management and an update all around... but most of the cashiers are friendly ...Updated: they have the best prices and if something is on sale for we will say 2/$5 you aren't required to buy 2 to get the discounted price you can get one for $2.50... management seems to be some better and willing to get something if they don't have it.. I do 75% of my shopping hereAnd hope that whatever you buy doesn't bust and go flying all over the parking lot because " it's the customers once it's outside the doors" paid $9 for a 24 pack of drinks made it maybe 8 feet outside the door the case busted and drinks rolled all the way to the red light but not their problem.. haven't been back since... And won't until I get an apology for the rudeness from the front manager.

My favorite grocery store. They always have the best deals and most of the time they have buy one get one free on things. Everything you need really. Food Lion carries it. AND THE STORE MANAGER IS SO SWEET, He actually donated some cake mixes for a cake walk for cancer I was apart of a few years ago. Great place to shop.

More expensive than Food City but WAY BETTER quality meat from the butcher department. They also sell real cigars (Punch, Romeo & Julieta, Olivia etc). Very friendly staff and never long lines.

Prices are competitive. Helpful, friendly staff. Departments are clean. Aisles are clear, mostly. Except for incline, parking is easily accessible. A good place to grocery shop.
