Just want to say the lady who works self checkout caused my mother an I to leave 2 bags of items, due to her coming over an taking items out of our bags saying it wasn’t scanned when after review they had been. She bumped into my mother while trying to search our bagged items, she was unfriendly and rude. Had the nerve to say have a nice day. She made us leave 2 bags of items that ranged between 30.00 and when we called to see if it was turned in, of course not. She needs to be fired, she’s not good for the Walmart brand.

I frequently go to several Walmarts but the customer service and variety in the Galax Walmart is always excellent. The most important thing I see is the smiles on the faces of their employees. It just goes to show that Management makes a huge difference in the experience from store to store. Hats off to all

I've been to walmart in nearly every state and I shopped here last Saturday for the first time. This is by far the best Walmart I've ever shopped in or seen.. absolutely amazing from top to bottom. I will be stopping by again with my family just to shop here.. outstanding job! 5 stars 🌟 all the way.

Staff was great everyone greeted you as you walked passed them. The store was very clean and well stocked I just wish more walmarts were like this one.

The grocery side was not over crowded. Everyone was polite and kind. Prices were reasonable. All in all a top notch walmart adventure!

The Galax Virginia store is the best Walmart! They are always stocked and clean. Their greatest asset is their employees. They are all so friendly and helpful! I am never disappointed when I go shopping there.

Don't like the set up much and couldnt find any nice big gal shirts or pants but I will say my cashier was very outgoing and friendly.

The remodel on this store is about done. It's coming a long way from where it was. The only problem is that there is a lot of things out of place and a great number of empty places on their shelves. I know that this is due to helping to be able to moves shelves around and less to have to relocate, but it does make it inconvenient for the customer. There is also a little bit of a lack of signage, this makes it difficult for people to find the new locations of things, and the staff even have to look up on their phones to direct people to aisles. Overall, I think it's going to be a great store, just has a little bit to go still.

The employees in self check out are very rude watch you like the FBI and literally stand over you use that device to see if you scanned items they literally stalked you to see you did scan I bought meats and vegetables that seem to go bad within a couple days you can't find anything they keep moving things around but for me it's the disrespect from the employees in self check out Galax Walmart is just awful

Awesome place to shop. Staff was so very friendly!! Staff where I live won't even speak! Very large store. Could tell upon entering the store it was far above any Walmart store where I live. Clean. Organized. Quality clothing not cheap items like I have at home in our store. Very large selections. Wish I had more time in the area just to shop this store!

I've been in this area several years...it & Food Lion are my favorite grocery stores... and the pharmacy has always been super good to me in the past 5 or 6 years... since they're remodeling, I got to ask where everything has been moved to but hopefully I can get used to it... It's not proven to be a good place to meet women though (they seem to be in a hurry all the time 🤣🤣🤣🤣)

The staff is overall great. The shopping used to be convenient, but not so much anymore.Unfortunately since this last major "reset", they have a new warehouse for groceries (according to multiple staff and managers) and shopping for groceries there is getting more and more like the great depression. Empty spots on the shelves are becoming a frequent experience.They even discontinued several basic great value brand items that are still available at every other Walmart around.It's like this Walmart has fallen into a time warp and basic items are ceasing to exist.They are constantly running out of basic food items. they are always discontinuing one product or another. They even regularly run out of produce bags and have to put checkout bags in the produce section., causing then to run short of certain bags at the registers.The hot foods section is frequently out of one food one another, such as gravy or potatoes or mac n cheese or the various cold salads, or one or more meats. It seems like every few days they are having to substitute containers because they run out of the standard hot foods containers and lids.In the grocery section you can count on several items being out and back ordered at any given time.Even the pet foods are plagued by this persistent problem.if you just want oil or a light bulb or a spatula, you can usually find non-food items without too much trouble, and usually pharmacy items are ok, but don't expect to be able to get your grocery staples there regularly.

I was impressed with household electrical options. A led light for above the kitchen sink and a replacement 3 way switch for our stair lights. Found Kilz 3 paint that worked great for the 1st step to paint dark trim white.

Now use online ordering as in store experience is suboptimal. No delivery, must drive to store. Delivery in this area is must and would provide much needed emoyment. In store experience is challenged by poor staffing therefore having delivery is essential.

Back here in the area 2021, well stocked store, good variety. Good size Walmart. Well stocked. Quick stop in and out! As of 10/30/21 staff wore masks. People in the store, shoppers, mostly did not. What a blessing!

This Walmart should not sell phones, let alone any sort of phone service other than self serve prepaid options. Messed up my account royally. Better off going to the actual T-Mobile 500ft away. They actually know what they’re talking about.

It's priced better than some of the other stores in the area. But they can do better with stocking shelves. And they don't need more self check out. They need more people to run check outs. I don't get paid to run a register.

I get off work around 10 pm so I decided to come in and get some groceries and they say on the overhead they close at 11 but they say it every 5 mins and rush you. When I get to the front at 10 till 11 they have 2 registers open. There is a manager just shaking her head in disbelief at every person that walks by with the most hateful look. The lady at the register is complaining about people coming in last minute talking about she wants to go home too. So when I get done she is out the door and in her car at 11:18 before I even get the groceries in my car. Customer service is horrible!
