I'm a regular fisherman and just getting into hunting. The person named Grady at the fishing counter is a wealth of knowledge and always makes time to tell customers the best tips and even make them a map to popular fishing spots. The archery department was great at getting me a set up with a wonderful new crossbow. For as awful as nova can be this store is definitely equipped to keep you happy and same in the area.

This hunting store is beautifully decorated and well-organized. The customer service was pretty good, and the prices for hunting gear and tools were reasonable. Overall, I had a great experience shopping here.One thing that caught my eye was the impressive fish tank - I couldn't help but admire it!

As a backpacker supply store, this one is lacking, although it is out and out beautiful and fun to walk through. They lack the big brand supplies for water filtration, and the staff is not very knowledgeable when it comes to gear. This is not the place to go for advice on what to bring on your hike. But it's gorgeous.

First time visiting this place. We didn't expect this place to be so big and interesting. They have huge array of item for out door activities such as archery, deer hunting, airsoft, firearm equiments and ammo, fishing, camping.

Customer service is so bad, can’t even make up how slow and unaware their employees at the gun and knife selection are. Stood at the firearms counter for 30 minutes wanting to purchase a Daniel’s defense rifle. Nobody asks if I needed help or even ask if I want to look at anything. Mind you there’s always 1 worker and 5-8 people waiting while the rest of the employees are in the back doing who knows what. Used to be a long time customer but I’m never wasting another dollar in this dump again. Truly sad to see but happy to spend it elsewhere. Step up your game a lot of your revenue comes from firearms sales why neglect the people wanting to put money in y’all’s pockets ? Embarrassing

I like this store. Sometimes you can get some really good deals. I wish there were more firearms staff to handle transactions. It can take an hour or two to get seen once you get the queue on busy days like weekends Like earning points to buy stuff on my Cabela's credit card.

Order the firearm to pick up, went to the counter to pick it up after they wasted my time for 30 minutes, turns out they wouldn't relinquish the fire on my paid for because I mentioned to a fellow about West Virginia and he thought I lived there. Even though I provided my West Virginia driver's license and a West Virginia address they still refuse to so the last time I'll be shopping here.

Great outdoors place. Camping, hunting, boating... Whatever you're doing, they can help equip you. Even supplies for your dog! The sales people were very helpful. We were there to get my daughter her first swiss army knife. It's not the largest outdoor outfitter, but their selection is still very nice on most items.

We see Santa here every year. Free AND one free photo print?!! After being robbed at the mall (Fair Oaks), we vowed to never return... Cabela's to the rescue! Oh, bought a gun here, too. Separate trip. But that was a good experience. Thanks, James!

Do NOT try to buy a gun! I am sad to write this review, but I feel like I should share my experience. I purchased a firearm through another company and had to pick it up from Cabela's and have them register it. That's all. We were there for almost four hours. I have a speech impediment which causes me to stutter sometimes. The salesman asked me the caliber of the weapon I was picking up and I stuttered slightly on it but ultimately got it right. Being that I stuttered he denied my sale altogether. I asked the customer service manager Danny, If I could still look at a handgun that I ultimately wanted to purchase also and she said loudly, " You are not buying ANYTHINGGG." Yes, just like that. Which embarrassed me in front of the other customers as well as my children. The hostility and vile nature, both of these customer service people provided was unprofessional to say the very least. We will never return to any Cabels for any reason. It is worth your time to go to a real gun shop.

Well themed dressed employees that really don’t know anything except what its like to stock shelves and collect a min wage paycheck. I did however feel like i was having a rustic experience while I was in store buying ammo. I walked into the bathroom and instantly was whisked away to the scent of a Portajohn at an underfunded camping park

Waiting to be serviced in the firearms area and was ignored. Asked several time if I could just ask a question to employees that were waiting on background checks. The employees were leaning on counters not even talking to the ones witing on checks, and still wouldn't engage with other customers. There was no need to have to be made to wait if . Never was told to log in to be in queue. Had to find out from another customer waiting. The process for service is very poor. 2 others walked away not willing to get service., Or reconized

The online pickup process at this store is truly archaic. This portion of the store is mixed with the customer service desk. There is no clear order for who is being helped for customer service vs online orders. Once finally being helped, customers have to sign a paper to confirm that their order is being received. Then, employees shuffle through a disorganized back room to find the correct order. However, some items are not in that back room and need to be searched for in an entirely different part of the store. The online pickup portion of this store needs to be updated!

Gosh I love this store! Whether it's a Bass Pro or Cabelas - this is my favorite place to be.You should definitely visit it if you're into hunting, guns, fishing, cooking BBQ, or watching for under armor apparel for men or women and even your kids will find a whole lot great toys in there!!!

Look I love Cabela’s but I’ve been here about a half dozen times and the staff is generally grumpy and dismissive. To their defense they are very busy and seem to be focused on restocking, but it tends to feel more like avoidance If you dare ask a question or would like to see something in a display case they let you know they are very bothered. No one was unprofessional but it can definitely make it an uncomfortable shopping experience for anyone who might have a question.Last major issue is the timeshare sales staff are very aggressive and misleading, I was asked 3 times by the same lady to come and hear about the trips. I never like being rude but finally had to tell her you have “told me to follow you” 3 times now, please stop. They can be very charismatic, to a point my wife was laughing and giggling with a lady only to feel betrayed and embarrassed it was all to get her to buy a trip. She had thought the lady was just being friendly.It’s a weird juxtaposition to the other staff that openly try to ignore you. Look Cabela’s is great but the manager really needs to step up and create a better atmosphere. Someone is falling down in the leadership in this store.

It would be nice if stores stayed open with the hours they post. Sucks to drive all the way to a store to find out they decided to close at 8 pm now instead of 9pm. So tired of all the businesses closing earlier and earlier. Welcome to paying 15hr. To employees.

Brought my 2023 tracker here to get the speedometer, rod holder lock and live well too binding. Those are the pictures of what they do to fix the rod holder lock. Butcher it up with the saw and leave it all dirty. Not the carpet is ruined and not covering the aluminum section that they cut. Live well top is still binding. Haven’t take the boat out to check the speedometer yet. They found the horn is not working because the connector popped loose, not covered. Had the boat for 4 months. I think I’ll find a diff location or just fix it my self.

Goodbye to Cabelas! After being a 20 year customer of Cabelas and 10's of $1000 in purchase, Cabelas Club (Now Discovery Card- This year) has decided to CLOSE MY ACCOUNT ($25,000 Limit-850 FICO) because I haven't made a purchase in 2 years. Cabelas didn't even consider the fact that I'd been an excellent customer., nor do I think they bother.. Just a computer program. Since the merge with Bass Pro, Cabelas has gone to the dark side IMO. I guess they don't need customers. Sure I can use a card for purchase but not with them.

This store needs a huge wake up call. Employees are horrible. Customer service is embarrassing! I saw more employees standing around talking to each other then I could believe. If you’re looking for a great laid back job where you can hangout & chat it up. This is the place for you. Customers!?? psshhhh haha!

Inventory online showed that the store we went to had the items we wanted in-stock. NONE of the items were in-stock. It was a complete waste of time. The store stocks a lot of things, so I can't give them a lower score, to be fair. However, their inventory management is sorely lacking.

First time at this store and first purchase of a firearm. The waiting was insanely long. Four hours due to staff shortage. Only reason I am giving this place five stars is because of Mr. Kevin K that was an excellent sales person with great deal of patience, Mr. Adam (sales man) that assisted with quality check and Mr. Adam (the manager at firearms department) that finalized the purchase if it wasn’t for them my experience would have been worse. Special thank you to Miss Amy that played her part in documentation as well. Five stars to the excellent staff!

This place is awesome, it has everything you need from camping gear, fishing, hunting, etc. It has several displays of life size animals from a skunk to turkeys and the best of all there is live fish in a large aquarium that gets its water from a waterfall. Amazing. Fun visit will return soon.

Been to a lot of Cabelas/Bass Pro stores with a good experience until I visited this particular store in Gainesville VA. Ordered a shotgun off their website to pickup at store. I know you have to do a background check at the store at the Fire Arms desk area. However, they have no internet orders pick up section separate from gun shoppers whom are still deciding what they want to purchase. So basically, I have tried to simply pick up my internet order (on two different days) and couldn't get through the 2 plus hour Que of peeps that were before me shopping and looking at multiple firearms. After well over a hour each time I had to depart the store. I live 50 plus miles one way from the store so it is highly inconvenient. Internet Order pickup should be a separate line guys with a separate laptop for background checks. Geez, what poor management you have there. ORDER was canceled when I got back home. Club membership canceled as well! NEVER again.
