I signed up my dog Freddie and I to Foundation Traing with Dotty and we recently graduated with improvement per some of his rambunctious and incorrigible behaviors though still maintains his cute looks with lots of personality! The most important aspect for me was finally capturing what I was needed to learn in working to build better skills for both of us to live, travel and enjoy being around others comfortably. Dotty trains the group as while as providing individual suggestions related to that dog and owner! Freddie and I enjoyed her class and look forward to taking another one in the future with her!

I am very impressed with the grooming and care that my dog received at Petco in Front Royal. My dog is a German Shepherd that had a lot of anxiety about being there. The groomer expertly handled him and was able to do a fantastic job on washing him & clipping his nails. He smells so good and feels so soft to pet now. The groomer and receptionist very friendly and easy to talk to. I recommend them and will return there again.

I visit this Petco pretty often with a friend of mine so that she can look at the little animals. She calls this her animal therapy.Petco is a good place to pick up animal bedding, wooden chew sticks, Timothy Hay and anything else my chinchillas may need. One of their enclosures came from here and I couldn't be happier as they price matched another location, which was about a third of the price of their shelf price. The staff is friendly and helpful.

I typically have a great experience at this petco when I buy fish. A lovely young lady helps me, but today- an absolutely DISRESPECTFUL employee approached me when I sought out help for buying some guppies and platys. I was immidietly met with attitude, and condescending questions. I felt very judged by this women. I have been keeping fish for the past ten years. My fish are healthy and in a huge tank filled with plants and they get so much love. I had a stressful day prior to this and I wasn’t prepared to be quizzed on each and every fish in my tank, tank size, etc. if these questions were asked in a polite way, I would not be writing this review. But this women treated me with judgement and assumptions that I was stocking a 5 gallon tank with a hundred guppies. I have an upmost respect for customer service workers and I know how hard their jobs are- I never alert managers with things like this. But the manager of this store will be contacted. This interaction left me feeling uncomfortable and completely judged based on nothing.

Update:After 12 years of big loyal customer with Petco, and then refusing me service after I made, one complaint, I took my dog to a different service in front Royal. My dog came home, relax happy and well groomed. His toenails have been clipped. His mouth had been washed it’s not a lot to ask people to do their job.Because of this review, Petco has refused to no longer groom, my dog after 12 years of grooming him every six weeks. This was my only complaint.The fact that they have to consistently hire new groomers is really the problem. They have always done a great job with gizmo and because of this one review they have refused us service, so just know before you go that they will no longer service your animal if you make any complaints.My dog’s grooming at Petco today. I’m wondering why His face was not washed, and why his nails were not clipped.

I signed my pup up for the Canine Good Citizen at the Petco in Front Royal VA with Dotty. Dotty is exceptional as a trainer and her compassion and love for what she does really shows. She takes the time to explain and understand individual situations for you and your pups training needs. I recommend Dotty to anyone looking for a canine trainer.

Came here for some deworming medication for my new kitten. They only have the drops, but the clerks were nice enough to double check in the back for something stronger. They mentioned Vetco and help me make an appointment that afternoon. I was able to bring her in, get some prescription dewormer and start her vaccinations. They were all extremely friendly and helpful - highly recommend!

Max and I attended the Fundamentals class with Dotty. We learned so much! After the first class with 2 other dogs who were larger than and who barked more than Max, Dotty suggested a different class which turned out to be a good decision. I really appreciated her willingness to make it a better experience for us. Dotty is a wealth of information and is so patient and kind. I heartily recommend her to new pet parents.

Nice friendly helpfully People Nice Pet Store as I been coming here for many years for my Dog food and treats ! They have a big selection to chose from and there suggestions for a cheaper Dog food that compares to what I get if I was wanting to save money but still get quality Dog food.I like there selection of Dog treats they have in a bin that looks like real cookies my Dog loves them thinks he's getting real cookies ! 2 extremely rude employees. One blond hair tall girl (less sharp in customer service) and a black hair super skinny tallish girl (the really rude one). They refused to sell fish to me without any reason provided even though i bought $100 worth of fish equipment a day before. Hopefully they get rid of them since im not the only one who complained about those same two employees. Gladly took my money elsewhere.

Just a comment. I saw a lot of Beta fish containers. Keeping the fish in a small container for so long and may be without feeding is animal cruelty. Please make sure that they get fed regularly.

The employee berry was very very rude. He was refusing to sell me the fish that I wanted. after I already bought a fish tank for the fish. i do not recommend this store the service was awful

We have always been very cautious and apprehensive about leaving our Rosco with any groomer located inside a pet store. One never knows how it will turn out. We took a chance with Petco and Megan (grooming manager). Best decision we have ever made. We can mention her name and Rosco will run to the door and wait. Megan is caring and loving. We will only use her simply because she and Rosco has formed such a bond. I never worry about him and his care with Megan.

I found everything we were after, however I did find having to deal with signing up for the rewards stuff to hurry up and get out of there was super annoying. I know that the cashiers get in trouble if they don't get people signed up, but just once I would love to go into a specialty store without having to deal with that.

I like petco it has many choices for small domestic pets. We have 2 dogs and 2 catsWe make our own dog and cat food so we do get treats there sometimes for the rabbit or the dogs and cats.

I took my 6mo Siberian husky puppy to get groomed here, and the lady that groomed him did such an amazing job! He smells so nice and his coat is so shiny and smooth and soft. They even shaved his paw pads and gave him a really nice trim per my request! I forgot the ladys name that groomed him but she was blonde i think and had a harry potter tattoo, shes great 10/10 would recommend and shes really nice too!

We have four dogs and we go here a lot 😅 we brought our puppy here for training with Dotty upon recommendation from our vet. Their trainer is amazing with dogs and very knowledgeable. We bring two of our dogs for grooming there as well, and we love their groomers so much, they are the sweetest group and I love knowing my dogs are safe and happy with them. We use their vital care program and we've saved a lot of money over this year. Their cashiers and stockers are so kind and friendly as well.

Grooming gives multiple excuses to not groom my dog after appointments are made. Cite Petco policies although both the Winchester and Warrenton locations had no issues grooming my dog. Manager also hung up on me. Please don’t go there.

Dotty, the dog trainer at Petco in Front Royal Virginia doing Petco Positive Training was absolutely wonderful. As pet parents, she taught us how to train our dogs and help us and our dogs gain comfort in new and exciting situations within the store. This gave us confidence to take our dogs out to pet-friendly stores for "field trips" which we all enjoy. Thank you, Dotty!! We're looking forward to bringing them back for more training when they are a little older.
