This Dollar general is touch-and-go. Every time I go into this place either the staff is terrible or the store doesn't have the product I'm looking to buy which should be in stock. Last time I visited the cashier was leaning over-the-counter on the opposite side of the check-out ignoring me for three minutes as I stood and said excuse me ma'am four times. Another employee acknowledged me and had to tell the leaning cashier to ring me out.

This is the worst Dollar General I have been to by far! Every time you go in this store the prices are wrong, there’s no stock and I mean this goes on for weeks and months. They do not honor the price. Then when you get to register they are clues. Hell I know the prices are already cheap but I’m not spending 70 bucks in this store tf! For all that I can go to Walmart. They really need to do better. If I could give this specific store a -10 I would. It happens every time oh that’s not the, someone put the incorrect label. BULLISH!! I will not be going back!!

The store's layout is terrible. The aisles are always messy due to the poor layout.Way too congested. Long line with only two cashiers. Only good if you don't want to travel far for a needed item.

This store is a complete disaster. I don't understand how corporate hasn't come to fix any of this or how this manager is still "managing" this location. The place is a complete and total mess. Boxes and boxes of items waiting to be stocked. Only one working register, the cashier that helped me today barely spoke to me as I kept trying to have a friendly conversation with her. She seemed to have her friends visit frequently as she was overly friendly with others that came in after me. She also complained saying her manager was watching her on the security cameras but wouldn't come help her ring people out as she accumulated a significant amount of people waiting in line to pay for their items. I'd never been here before but I most certainly won't return.

Place has serious stock issues. The design is smaller and more compact then other locations. When they bring out the stock carts half the store is inaccessible. Some of the staff seems very unprofessional. Compared to other branches of this chain this is the worst I've seen.

Super messy at all times. I have had an employee ignore me at the checkout to make a personal phone call (the manager stepped in and she gave him and attitude too). But the same manager frequently takes his mask off. The mask policy is not enforced at all here. Additionally, the clearance shelves are always blocked by storage containers for the store. What is the point of having a clearance aisle if you can't walk down it?

This is got to be the worst kept Dollar general I have ever been to and I have been to a lot in multiple states.. was greeted nicely when i walked in though 🤣

This store is constantly out of stock of items for months at a time even though there are boxes and ladders blocking the aisles making it impossible to move around the store. Most of the staff is incredibly rude to costumers and do not know how to properly do their jobs. With an exception of maybe one or two staff members. They leave the store to go stand out front and smoke and theres been times where no ones at the register for 10-15 minutes. There’s ceiling tiles coming down from water damage which is hazardous and theres also floor tiles ripped up. Would not recommend this store to anyone.

Michelle was absolutely fantastic. Her customer service relation skills are exceptional. She is the epitome of what excellence in customer service is all about and as the face of corporate dollar general I pray she will be afforded the management opportunity to teach others within its organization how to deliver professional excellence in customer service.

It's a mess and it sure as hell Ain't NO true dollar store don't let that name fool you unfortunately it's located in a super convenient spot soooo what can you do.If I can avoid it I definitely try to not go there but if I'm at the laundry mat next door which I absolutely love their machine's not their crazy employees😑 but if I run out if detergent or I get hungry for a snack and I didnt bring anything with me whelp you guessed it.

I couldnt buy everything i went to buy, they have it but the employee is not old enough to sell it to me!! Thats a nice little suprise on way home at night.

Great discounts! Great for a quick item pickup! Employees are very friendly and helpful. They may need help though. The store isles are ALWAYS full of boxes that you have to maneuver around.

Went here two days in a row and employees weren't wearing masks. Not sure if they are required in VA but definitely was not a good look. It emboldened customers not to wear them either. Won't be returning.

Need teeth dental picks,sugar free cough drops and a baby sized swimming pool. They usely have all of that stuff but had none today. Life and times are hard*;)

I'm shocked at how this store is still opened! It was so dirty and carts full of boxes everywhere! I couldn't even navigate through the store so I left and won't be back! ^* I did go back a year later looking for a specific item that was said to be in stock online. It wasn’t and even if it was I wouldn’t have been able to find it because the store was so filthy and there were boxes everywhere. I really won’t go back to this DG ever.

Need to get better organize.The shelves are almost empty.The mercendaice its on cranes blocking the ales.Seems to be like that every time go shopping.Almost a year.

I have visited this store twice in 3 days. It is small, and both times there was merchandise totes stacked in front of the shelves. The shelves I could get to were well shocked and merchandise fairly priced.

Out of all the Dollar Generals I have visited, this Dumfries location is the most Horrible. Its a complete disaster, the entire store is messy. There will be missing stock and products for MONTHS, and I know this because I will go in there over and over looking for the same thing and it will be missing for MONTHS. The register has broke numerous times, and one of them only accepted cash NUMEROUS TIMES I have been in here. Theres the longest lines, and slowest cashiers.

Friendly cashiers. There is one aisle that has grafitti sprayed all over the place. It's been like this for two years or more. Store Manager: Why haven't you fixed this eye sore? Weird.

Prices are good, when there's products on the shelves. Stocking is horrible and the food absorbs the fragrance from all the detergent, fabric softener and candles.

This is the only place I found shaving blades that could fit my shaving handle that I brought in from overseas, and those durable, double blades cost less than $2 a pack!

Surprising to find numerous holiday decorations of decent quality for cheap price. Spent $25 here and was able to decorate our entire office!

the man that is supposed to be the store manager is rude and disrespectful always wants to call the police the store is dirty and trashy in the bathroom smells like poop doyou can't go in any of the aislse because there's boxes and pallets is the way he doesn't ever want to hire anyone and sometimes the staff are very rude there is some nice people though

The people are nice.But, management is awlful..The store is never stocked .If you run out of something it means you need to order more next time..I managed a 7-11 and I ran a tight schedule...Retail isn't easy but if you choose to run it you need to do it right..They just got another manager so I guess we'll have to wait and see what happens..Been going to this store for 13 yrs..Thanks

Ok The store is always dirty and stuff everywhere. You can't find anything unless you move carts of stuff needing to be put away out of your way. Very disorganized.
