Came into the store knowing absolutely nothing about birding or bird feeders but asked Lisa to help me with a Mother's Day gift. She paired me with the perfect environmentally friendly feeder and made sure the feed was safe for my local birds. I really appreciate that she took the time to explain how to install the feeder and proper maintenance. I would definitely shop here again and I suggest browsing even if you aren't a birder because you can learn a lot just from talking to Lisa. 🐦♥️

Love this store and the staff. Have never had any bird feeders before and they walked me through the process of what feeders and seed would be best for my squirrel populated back yard. I'm hooked and love supporting small local business!

This store is absolutely wonderful. Lisa the owner was very generous with her knowledge, and helped me get everything I needed for a customized bird feeder setup. They have feeders and hangers I've never seen before, and all manners of squirrel baffles, including capsicum coated seeds and suet that squirrels dislike. Lisa is very cost-conscious, and advised me to purchase a smaller feeder since I wasn't sure what birds were in my area, and offered safflower seeds instead of the more expensive hot pepper ones. I got a shepard's crook hanger with a c-clamp, which allows you to move it around your deck railing with ease. I'm looking forward to visiting again when I have room for a more varied setup. Thank you so much Lisa!

Just visited this lovely store for the first time. Staff recommended I try NutraSaff bird seed to deter the black birds ( grackles and starlings). So far so good. Not one starling on the feeders and only a few grackles. They have great customer service and are very knowledgeable. Will definitely be back.

I love this store! I bought the best bird feeder pole here. It comes with 4 hooks and a squirrel baffle. My bird feeders are now squirrel free! The ladies in this shop are so helpful and knowledgeable! They educated me on a lot of things and my birds are grateful for them! I love this place and it will be my go to store for all my birding needs.

One of, if not the, best bird supply stores I've ever been in! A lot of items I'd never seen before. Had to pick up a log feeder that takes several different varieties at once. But so much more I would have liked to buy. The atmosphere is wonderful, with bird song playing that made you feel as if you were outside, and a live feeder video playing on a large monitor. The proprietor was wonderful to talk to, and told us of some prime birding areas in Old Mill Park where she leads bird walks on Tuesdays (first Tuesdays?) Call her if you're interested.

I have shopped at Wren & Sparrow twice now. I have had the most pleasurable experience. The owners are so friendly and very helpful. The store is a great addition to downtown Fredericksburg. Secondly, my daughter was downtown with friends and saw the store and thought of me as I love birds. She went in to buy me a gift. Lisa Benoit assisted my daughter in picking out the perfect gift for me. In addition to that, Lisa perfect packaged the gift in a cute bag with tissue paper and bow so the gift was ready to give to me. Such a sweet touch. I will definitely recommend others to visit the store.

I know absolutely nothing about birds, so I'm incredibly grateful for the depth of knowledge and excellent customer servivce at Wren & Sparrow. My son and I visited the store to get a hummingbird feeder. Amy helped us out, and she was really knowledgable and just an awesome person. She got us the right feeder and explained how to use it. The store keeps mealworms for feeding bluebirds, and Amy was kind enough to bring them out and show them to my son (he's two and loves stuff like that). Amy and everyone at Wren & Sparrow is awesome.
