This family owned shop is perfect. We have ordered take out many times for their tea. I made reservations for my mothers birthday for royal tea party. My mother, myself and daughter had a great time here. Respectful staff, and catered to each of us delightfully. So many options, accommodations, and generous perportions. Highly recommend. This place is quirky, with a strange selection of things for sale, which makes it fun. The owner is very nice and seems to make all the drinks herself. Wait times can be long if you're just there for a drink, but browsing all the trinkets, statues, and oddities helps pass the time. The bubble tea is great, and they have a large selection of it, along with baked goods, coffee drinks, and loose leaf tea. I haven't been in a long while, but the tea service luncheons were fun, and my daughter always loved going for special occasions.

Not sure what all the bad reviews were for. This place isn't amazing or anything but if you want boba then Tea Tyme will certainly do.I got an earl grey milk tea. Milk tea tends to be a little too sweet for me and fortunately they were able to do a sugar adjustment while keeping the flavor of the tea.They also seem nut allergy friendly. I'm not dead so I can say that their milk tea is treenut allergy safe.Minus one star for the wait time, it was a little long.Features: Tables were not set up to be socially distant. Employees and customers were not wearing masks.

Stopped by for some boba, ended up getting a blueberry milk tea with their kiwi popping pearls. My grandma got a mango + peach tea with their tapioca, so I got to try hers as well. Definitely preferred the popping pearls over the boba. Boba has a chewy texture while the popping pearls pop easily in your mouth and are filled with your choice of flavor. Both the milk tea and regular tea was good. They have a lot of flavors to choose from so it was hard to choose. Definitely on the expensive side for a drink, though. It was about 5.95 + tax for a 16oz drink. The drinks we got were great, don't get me wrong, but I think their shop could use a bit of a revamp. There were lots of trinkets and stuff you can browse and buy, but a lot of them looked dirty and rusted, and a lot of the jewelry was fading. The seating is not that much attractive, either. I didn't use the bathroom so not sure about the cleanliness of that part. Otherwise, I'll stop by again for the tea but I don't think I'd want to try the food.

My daughter seen other kids walking around downtown with the light bulb looking drinks and asked someone where they got it and they directed us to the Bubble Tea Shop. Kind of unique and hidden, I've walked by this place many times and couldn't tell you what was in here. As you walk in the store they sell gift items in the front, looks like a coffee shop on one side and a sign that points to bubble tea's on the other. Needless to say, by daughter and niece each ordered a vanilla bubble tea and they really like them. My brother order a smoothie and he said it was good and they use real fruit in the smoothie. If you bring back the bulb shaped cups and reuse them, you receive a quarter discount on your next order. Only suggestion is to redesign store layout, most people I seen enter store were there for the bubble tea, so that should be more visible.

This was my first visit and first time having boba tea, although I love tapioca so it's not a new concept to me. I got blueberry milk tea with Boba which was delicious, a tad sweeter than I expected. The woman working there was very sweet and made my drink quickly. There's so much potential here. I think she would get a lot more traffic with a quick update inside and downsizing the knick knack collection (especially with the newer competition up the road). Overall, I enjoyed my tea and will visit again when I want a sweet treat.

Was in the area and wanted some bubble tea so I found this place and was immediately impressed with it. Their prices are including tax so it's easy to calculate costs and as you can see they have a pretty decent selection of teas if you want a brew. Will definitely stop here a few more times whenever I'm in the area

Went there just for the bubble tea, which was excellent! I got five drinks for me and my family and all of them were so delicious. There was one woman there and she was friendly had all of our drinks to us in less than 10 minutes. There’s a lot of trinkets around but it’s not my thing so we just sat at the table and enjoyed our time.

Pretty pricey for the sizes you get. Got a strawberry milk tea and it wasn't very sweet and tasted watered down compared to most places I've been to. Still overall not bad, was fast and cute. The size pictured was about 6 bucks.

I liked it, my partner not so much.This time I'm going against my partner. Even if I have to sleep on the balcony.We purchased green tea Boba and regular coffee.Both were much better than Kung Fu tea. Kung Fu tea's coffee, last time purchased, tasted wierd and seemed too acidic.The Green tea Boba was balanced and not too sweet. My partner didn't like it claiming it was bitter. But, I think my partner doesn't know how green tea should taste. Lol....RETURN FACTOR100%RECOMMEND A FRIEND FACTOR100%

Excellent service, amazing aroma when you walk into the shop and delicious Boba Tea. I got the Peach Milk Tea with Tapioca Boba and Strawberry flavored Jelly pieces. It was so good I forgot to take a picture until it was almost done!

I've been going here for a few years now and I gotta say...I love it there man. the lady who mainly works there is very nice 👼 i live laugh love Tea Tyme bc its literally an og. Me, my sister, and our friend love going here anytime we get the chance 🧐 literally one of da coolest places if you wanna chillax for a bitalso I love the extra stuff they sell(I've seen a few beanie babies there and I wish I could buy them 😭)the wait time depends on the amount of people in the store. Though, I don't mind waiting. The drinks are worth the wait.(also if they still got it up there, I recommend the Coconut Milk tea. It's one of my faves there)

The quality of tea and variety of options were great. I ordered the black milk tea with boba and was really pleased with the taste. The only issue I experienced was the wait. The shop is small and was staffed by two kind individuals who were working extra hard to take care of 10+ orders midday Saturday, but the 15 minute wait was worth it. I look forward to trying more in the future!

Went here with my friends last week. Great service! the place wasn’t crowded nor busy but there were 8 of my friends so it took around 10 minutes for our drinks to arrive. It was my first time getting boba so i ordered something simple. i got vanilla milk tea with mango popping pearls. it was full of flavor and the lady who was working was very nice and helpful. Definitely coming back

I have visited Tea Tyme twice with my husband and children. The teas and smoothies are delicious. I especially love the flavored popping pearls. She has a good variety of flavors to choose from. The lady in the shop was very pleasant and polite. I will definitely be going back, and my husband and children say the same thing.

The place does not look great, they did recently add new electronic screen menu which looks a lot better. The tables tilt everywhere and none of the chairs match, I personally don't like that but you could argue the mis match chairs give it character. The workers are always nice, the owner is not as friendly, never rude just seems more interested in your money(I mean I get it's a business). The tea is good, I really do love the marocan madness black tea, but it cost me 9 dollars for a large(no boba, just ice tea. I can buy a tea for 3$ if its expensive). That is ridiculous, I'm not going to buy from here again. The area of downtown is a little sketchy, but I've never had anything happen. Just seen many homeless people. If the prices went down, speed of service, and it look better, it would be five stars. The tes is really good, but everything else makes it not worth it.

We stopped in for the Royal Tea. It was a pleasant experience. The holiday spice tea was wonderful for a bit of Christmas season atmosphere, and the collection of sweets and fruits were quite good. I was disappointed that the scones (at least I think they were scones) were the size of and tucked in with the cookies. If they weren't scones then we never got them. Don't expect British tea with large scones with clotted cream and jam. The service was very nice if slow. Don't plan to get in and out quickly. We were there on a Thursday and one woman was working (the proprietor?) Maybe she has more help on weekends.

I work in downtown and I love stopping by for boba tea! They have a large variety of flavors and I usually stick with strawberry but I do love their Lychee pearls! Their menu options are pretty simple and they usually add a nice touch to the fruit or add something extra to spruce it up! Normally I am in and out within 5-10 minutes! The lady is very sweet and I always look forward to seeing her!

I went here with my family about a week ago and we absolutely loved it. We purchased two taro bubble teas, one green tea got chocolate, and an assortment of scones. It was a amazing to learn how many of the products they make in house! 6 hours to make the tapioca bubbles! Pure dedication! Also, the amount of sweetness was just right. Our previous bubble tea experiences had been so sweet. Tea Tyme had just the right amount of sweetness. We cannot wait to visit again! Highly recommend.

This place smells very badly when you walk in and is very humid. The bubble tea was good but the way the building smelled made me feel so nauseous and I feel like investing money into whatever makes it smell the way it does would help them get more business. OH MY GAWD. this place is so good! Lots of tea for a surprisingly low price. The lady who works here is also really nice! I got a milk tea with taro and tapioca, 16oz and it only cost 6 dollars! Way better than the too sour/too sweet place in the mall! You won't regret stopping here!

My girlfriend and I were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the beverages served at this shop. They offer a wide variety of unique and delicious boba, milk tea, and smoothies and are happy to mix flavors and create any drink you like. I got a kiwi smoothie with green apple + cranberry popping pearls and it was excellent. My girlfriend got lavender milk tea with yogurt popping pearls. It was so delightful that we decided to come back the very next day. The lady that worked the register and made our beverages was very kind and willing to help with any questions we had!

The best bubble tea in fredericksburg. This lady is amazing, so kind and makes the absolute best bubble tea I have ever had. Her prices are perfect, she has a million options, and everything is dairy-free which makes it accessible for everyone. Tapioca and popping pearls are available for toppings. You'd never in a million years know that there's no milk in it. You won't regret it. Also they serve food as well! Sandwiches, etc. Please try before ordering Boba from one of the chains. Never watered down.

This place is very clean and welcoming. The lady who serves me is always polite. The milk teas are unbeatable, and the sandwiches are delicious!! There are several drinks you can choose from, so you'll never get bored. There are also cute trinkets for sale if you're into that kind of stuff. Finally, they sell the teas that they brew so if you like what you get, you can take it home with you! Absolutely recommend this place for anyone wanting a quick bite or a refreshing drink.If you're curious about what I usually get, I get the Vanilla Chai milk tea with passion fruit popping pearls.
