TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERNIf I could rate zero stars that it would be!I will ensure this is publish to the BBB as well as reported all the way up the franchise chain.At approximately 13:20 on 06/18/2022at 7/11 located at 4640 Lee Hill school drive, Fredericksburg Virginia. I experienced the worst customer service at the hands of the 7/11 store owner Mr. John Jacoby who displayed poor customer service and a level of unprofessionalism next to none. Mr. John Jacoby stated “he shouldn’t have to press any keys on lottery machine to run a customer’s Lottery slip. On this particular afternoon like any other I headed out to the 7/11 to play my lottery numbers. The lottery slips have the option for repeat play which requires the cashier to enter the number of repeats. I gave my slips to Mr. Jacoby’s spouse who was having difficulty with the printer which I proceeded to assist Mrs. Jacoby on how to fix the issue. Mrs. Jacoby was very receptive and appreciative of the assistance and even mentioned that I knew the lottery machine very well. Shortly thereafter the lottery machine started to encounter other issues while I patiently waited for the staff to fix. While I am not complaining about the inconvenience of my time it is taking for the staff to resolve these issues. Mr. Jacoby appeared from the office area of the store and was already irritated by the fact that the lottery machine was having issues. Mr. Jacoby then directed his frustration towards me the customer stating that “I am intentionally holding up his line by playing over a hundred dollars worth of lottery” which is complete insanity. I have been playing Virginia lottery for several years and had never experienced anything like this and the level of disrespect was overwhelming and unnecessary. Mr. Jacoby continued his negative rants about how much money he makes on selling Virginia lottery “a nickel to every ticket” and was frustrated by that alone. I responded by saying that is something you should vent or take up with Virginia lottery. Mr. Jacoby continued his tirade and stated “other customers who play over a hundred dollars worth of lottery doesn’t take up time in his line” which doesn’t make any sense. Let’s keep things in perspective the lottery machine had numerous malfunctions to include paper jams and to mention much of those issues was attributed to the lack of owner and customer knowledge and understanding of how the lottery machine functions. Mr. Jacoby went on with his tirade to even show how he had a picture on his store wall bragging about his awards for customer service over his competitors in the area. If this is the way customers are treated at this particular franchise 7/11 store this reflects poorly on the 7/11 franchise and brand as well as community to which it serves. The lack of customer service and mannerisms from the owner himself for this particular store is not in good customer standing nor deserves to be under management of such poor leadership that affects an entire franchise that has such a long history of service to the communities they serve in. I ask that this type of behavior be invested and dealt with in a timely to prevent any further damage to the 7/11 franchise.

The self-serve machines needed to be clean. I was trying to figure out how to clean them. The elderly lady that works there asked what I was doing. Trying to see if it can be cleaned. She replied do I work there. Then she said she have time to clean them when she and I were the only ones in the store. The problem here this isn't the first time I've went to that location while she was working and nothing is filled and she always has a problem doing her job.. When James was there none of this happened!! Enough is enough!!!!

I'm not sure who is running the store now but when James was working at this location before he moved on the store was ALWAYS clean and up to par with everything. He could be the only worker in that entire place and hold it all down and everyone loved him because of how incredibly kind he was. Where ever that young man works now is where I would much rather spend my hard earned money. Not in this dump. Burnt food all over the grills and in the pizza case, bugs in the donuts case, nothing stocked up, the floors are horrendous, no coffee, the coffee machine is never working, no other coffee is fresh, and the coffee pots are clearly dirty and uncleaned since James left. Completely disgusting.mold in the soft drink machine also. Unbelievable that they act as if this is the best store to shop at in town. What a joke!

The store could use a better product selection when it comes to drinks and snacks. The staff are friendly but at times shorthanded when it comes to the amount of customers they have to deal with. It would be better if they offered cash back and other transactions such as adding money to CashApp.

I have never enjoyed any store as much as I enjoy this particular store. Sue is a breath of fresh air on a daily basis.. the guys and gals at night are always on point as well.. the owner John and his wife are great.. coffee is always fresh, as well as smiles and warm greetings..

The gas station only accept debit card. And after using this gas station, my debit card is used fraudulently in another states. One star for appreciation. I learned my lesson that never using gas station which only takes debit card.

Even though the cash app is supposed to be honored at this location they don't honer it and it's a waste of customers time. Then the manager is very rude when asked any questions about it.

Every day I look forward to entering the 7-11 establishment to be greeted by Sue, one of the most kind, appreciative, and cheerful people I’ve met. She welcomes me every morning with a bright spirit and offers her help whenever I need it. Sue has, by far, the greatest customer service I’ve ever experienced and continues to make every day I walk in, a day to look forward to.

The owner just got super rude with me over hot chocolate and expresso machines not working properly. I just wanted café mocha ya jerk. No worries that's the 3rd time he's done that. I won't be back for anything. That's uncalled for

This store in particular does not know how to cope with their withdrawal from their previous employees and wish to prevent them from getting a better job opportunity out of jealousy. Weird.

I agree with Rebekah, Sue runs that store and if she is not a manager, she needs to be. Promote, give a raise, or give her the store entirely. She is there working on her off days to ensure things get done, and ALWAYS greets me and everyone by name. Her managerial and customer service skills are beyond expectations! How often do you find somebody that works this hard? As long as she is there, I will continue to go. Thanks for making our days better Sue!

This place is a magnificent piece of friendliness. Sue is one of the nicest people I’ve ever met. She has memorized my name and every time I come in she greets me even if she is in the middle of helping another customer. She is a wonderful example of a human being. Sue makes coming to seven eleven a part of my daily routine. Sometime I go and buy food, not because I’m hungry but because I just look forward to seeing Sue

I never thought I’d leave a review for a gas station, but I’d like to recognize Sue for her remarkable customer service skills. She takes the time to memorize regular customers by name, chats with them and will even remember their usual food orders. She’s adorable. I’m not sure who actually owns the store, but that place belongs to Sue.

Slow service. Credit card machines have problems with reading chip cards in the past year. Cigarette prices are pretty high in the comparable area.

Whoever is working now Dec 30, 2022 3:10pm is extremely rude and unfriendly. I used to know the owner and unless the ownership has changed they do not approve of workers who are this rude and inconsiderate. I recommend the owner look into this because something is wrong here.

By the cigarette prices alone...How is this place still in business after Sheetz opened up across the street???If they'd keep the items in the store competitively priced as they do their gas prices... they may survive?They've been floated up until now by customers who are too lazy to cross the street.

All the staff is amazing but the lady at night doesn’t care about her job. Bought a pizza and had her heat it up and even joked with her how their oven cooks it quicker just to be given a cold pizza I still have to cook.

Every single time I go there to get a carton of cigarettes, they tell me they don't have access to the cartons. That they have to have a key and the manager is the only one with the key and he is NEVER there. Which forces me to go to the Sheets across the street where they ALWAYS have access to All their cigarettes.What an inconvenience! From now on, I'm just going to go to ONLY sheetz.
