I am very disappointed in the service I received at the register Monday.Never have I been told the register is closed then I got in the self service which I’m not good at since I am 72. Whenwhile 2 minutes later I look at that register and cashier has taken in 8 more ladies and turns around and just looks at me, of course they were a different race than me and I was very hurt that she didn’t want to wait on me.I went to my truck and just cried that people want to treat me like this,never again

Sucks. No cashiers most of the time and some of us can't use self checkout with disabilities. Person watching self checkout on phone texting or doing something else. Should always have one cashier working.

I come in here often doing instacart. I was recently here maybe Monday of this week.... when I visited I had a 2 noticeable scars on my lip. I could overhear the cashiers talking about me saying "she must have herpes" and laughing and joking about it. It didn't bother me because I know ofc I don't have that... but it made me think about how many other people come in and they talk dog smack about them for nothing. Them girls didn't know me from anywhere to be talking like they did. And this is not the first time I've came in and overheard a conversation and felt like it was about me. Just un aceptable now because who else is getting treated and talked about like this? I'll update this if I get a name of the cashiers! But next time if I visit and I overhear someone talking about anyone. I'm gonna speak up. Only reason I held my tongue was because I'm a changed person ;^)

Great store with a great selection and generally lower prices than the Walmart up the road. 90% of our grocery shopping is done here.

I am very disappointed with the Franklin VA Food Lion! I specifically stopped buying groceries at walmart because of their self checkouts. But when I went in to The franklin store today there was only one cashier, and the rest was all self checkouts. I am no longer satisfied with being told stores cannot get employees. Food Lion and the rest of retail stores need to find a way to hire and maintain employees. Whether they need to increase wages with benefits or provide daycare etc I am not sure. I do know the profits are getting paid to someone but not to me for checking out and bagging my own groceries! The price of groceries are not being lowered to the consumer for their effort and time .I will no longer shop there and will be vocal to all I know until these companies realize that self checkouts do not benefit the consumers. I will also take my time if I am forced to use a self checkout I will no longer hurry so that the next customer can check out. For this I do apologize to the person behind me.

Of course prices are sky high!!! But that's kinda the norm. Nothing special, nothing really new(would like to see new products). Nice cashier☺️

I've always had good experiences with the cashiers and baggers. Everyone always seems to be polite and respectful. The reason why I gave this particular store one star is that there seems to be a management issue. I have been to this location several times. Both during the day and in the evening. That being said, I've overheard complaints from at least five different employees concerning scheduling and management professionalism. Now, I don't know any of the management personally. However, one of the two managers I have come into contact with seemed to be very self entitled and caddy. This is just my personal opinion. Take it for what it's worth. However, this wouldn't be the first time I've seen an issue like this at a big box corporate store.

There were no cashier lanes to check me out because I had too much in cart for the 12 items or less lane. I had over $200.00 worth of groceries and had to use the self check out and held up the lane with my order. I'm not fast. Customer service was lacking and annoying rumbling under their breath about me. Not a good visit. I gave it 2 stars because they had some items in-stock I like.

The saving grace for this location is the upgraded outside cooler room. Before that I couldn't be bothered to go in there, Windsor is a better overall sore, but Franklin stepped up their friend and veg game.

This food lion is the worst. Customer service is usually close or they make you wait awhile. The manager at the store is very nasty and does not care about the customers or there needs. I had to go to a nearby Food Lion just to get what I needed

I went yesterday to try to use Western Union and the (she) employee who attended was very contemptuous and derogative, I used this service before and I had no problem but this time was awful 😔 I’ll never go again. at the end she asked me to come back tomorrow because the manager wasn’t there

My family and I were driving by and came across this Foodlion. It is very conveniently located off a busy highway/road.The staff was super friendly.Store is very clean & well stocked.Bathrooms were extremely clean and loved the hand sanitizer in every exit, entrance & bathroom door.

Clean store, not crowded, everybody that works here is helpful & knowledgeable of where products are located. Then will walk you to whatever item you're looking for & if not there, they'll try the back, to see if it's in stock. Never had a problem with anybody here.

This place ALWAYS messes up my to go order. They “shop” for certain items then I get my order they’re not in it. Twice this has happened & the reason why the items weren’t in my order was because they weren’t in stock. They could’ve just issued a refund from the get go instead of leaving me frustrated, having to go in and ask for a refund myself. They also always substitute almost everything in my orders even though they have them in stock. I chock it up to poor training and laziness.

Always clean and always stocked up. Unfortunately they're prices are hard to match Walmart but if you shop MVP you can win on some items. They're produce is always top of the line next to Farm Fresh. Now the deli, needs some work as far as taste in my opinion.

Food Lion in Windsor is convenient from where I live. The employees there are very friendly and helpful. I am particularly fond of one young gentleman that was working the cash register and he had a elderly customer who's debit card would not work, the young man pulled out his own debit card and paid for the elderly gentleman stuff. If more young people could be like this young man was what a much better place our world would be. In fact if everyone could be as generous, kind and thoughtful as this young man was wouldn't it be a wonderful world to live in. Kudos and God bless to the young man that works at the Food Lion in Windsor Virginia

I've probably visited 20 different Food Lion stores between Virginia and North Carolina in my lifetime. Almost all of my experiences have been good until today. After being ignored at the customer service desk for about 5 minutes the manager walks over to me, but doesn't say anything because she starts a conversation with an employee about hours worked. Then she answers a phone call while standing in front of me without saying a word. When she finally did get to me she was rude, short and acted like I was an inconvenience. I asked questions about Western Union and she spoke to me like I was stupid. Piss poor customer service by the customer service desk?? Haha! This location needs better management who doesn't tolerate this type of behavior. I won't be going back here again. I'll stick to my friendly Windsor Food Lion.

Very clean store and very nice employees and I think I had the best cashier you could ever want she was very polite nice and very respectful to you that was a very awesome visit in there today. I went on 11/01/22 and there is no change . the workers are so nice and the store was very clean .
