The commissary is competitive in alot of there items they carry unlike the exchange. Which are different places. Good for the local community and the troops that are stationed there. Very clean, shelves are stocked nice restrooms, nice place to buy groceries and for people who have disabilities can shop an hour before the store opens up.

Large selection of food, prices are fair and often a bit cheaper than off base. Clean and fairly well organized.Knocked off a star because they don't have much in the selection for allergy specific foods

Most prices are comparable or more than other grocery stores. German products are almost always out of stock. They barely carry any German deli meats. What used to be a huge selection of German Christmas candies is the bare minimum now. Really disappointing, to say the least.

It's good. They say no tax, but they charge another fee. So it is pretty much like tax.The other issue is that they use baggers who are paid by tips only. Of course, I am going to tip a bagger because I am not trying to short change their livelihood. But I feel this shouldn't be the case.Still, prices here are a bit less than other stores. If I have a big shopping trip, this is where I am coming.They have just about everything you would find at a grocery stores and a little bit more.The eggs are very good. I compared them to Wal-Mart eggs and they are much, much better.

It had been a while since I last shopped at the commissary. It has really been updated nicely. It's light and airey, and hints at being a high end market. The one issue I have with all commissaries is why are so many products cheaper at other markets (Farm Fresh, Food Lion, etc...). If you ask them they claim that they can not compete with "Lost Leaders..." But let's be honest, when a product is always priced at a certain price and they do not advertise that low price, then it's not a lost leader, it's just priced better. Go figure why the commissary can not get as good a.low price...

Decent prices but that's the only redemptive quality. The employees are the rudest possible. Often my wife and I will go elsewhere even though we know we will be paying more, just to avoid having to deal with the passive aggressive comments and hostile attitudes.

This commissary is excellent, very clean, well stocked, spacious, and with a good variety of food, and has a large parking lot. It was quiet when I visited at mid-day. I did not see anything out of stock. Everything was very neat, clean, and organized (as expected for a military base commissary). They have a great selection of meats, vegetables, fruits, and frozen foods, as well as lots of hygiene, household, and personal care products. No safety or security concerns, and fellow customers know how to behave and to conduct themselves civilly, decently, and respectfully, and so do the employees. The only thing I observed that could be improved was the self-check out area, which was somewhat congested and rather small for the very large size of this commissary. Customers can bypass the congestion by just going to a normal cashier, nearly all of which were available and open when I visited (which reflected that the military customers are the kind of people who like to get things done on their own without involving other people if they can, which is an appreciated and admirable quality). All in all, this commissary was and is excellent when I visited, so I gave it 5 stars in this review.

Shelves were not fully stocked items that were previously sold in store are not there prices are not correct advertised on shelf one price then at checkout are 40 cents more they are not checking price at shelf and in system they need to make sure prices match actual cost Remove old price tags on shelf not very happy with commissaryThe prices were not correct on these items

Yes It is the place to shop except....many times the fruit is off...Now I shop here 2-3 times a month. Just wish the quality and variety of the fruit was better. That's the only reason there a 4 star facility. With that being said I highly recommend because pricing is outstanding. ☆☆☆☆½

The shopping is fine, my complaint is the Rewards Card almost never works. So all the things you've purchased because you had a coupon just adds to your total. It does this in every store. Things cost way too much these days for this card to not work. You try and contact the company, but there is no way.

As far as commissaries go, it's alright. Absolutely no sales. I found chips and sodas more expensive here than off-post outlets.Also, never crowded, which is a bonus.

Surprisingly good. Great Deli featuring olive and antipasti bar was particularly impressive and set a very good impression on walking in. I also liked the robust selection of hard to find items within the Asian and Mexican themed isles. Things finish off strong by a well stocked freezer section with a myriad of selections.

Good prices for meats. Some good sales too. They have an annual Sidewalk Sale in the summer where you can find more than few great deals.Store is kept clean, aside from the occasional stocking that causes a small amount of clutter here and there. In my experience bathrooms have always been clean. Do be advised though, in the summer months small birds (have only seen one maybe two at a time) are known to make their way into the store but I've never been bothered by any and have not seen any dropping.

Vickie provides exceptional customer service. She is friendly, out-going and very helpful. I always look forward to going to her check out line. On my last visit, there were no baggers in sight. It was not a big deal for her and she simply packed my groceries to keep it moving. Keep up the good work Vickie!

Overall nice value. Fort Eustis is always clean and well set up. Sometimes Langley seems grungy. MEAT is now the main reason I shop. They always have a selection regardless of what civilan stores are encountering. Although prices are up, the overall value is still better than civilian.

The self checkout machines are terrible, won't use them again. 8 Feb 2022, bugs seem to have been corrected. No issues today. 9 Nov 22, shelves seem to be well stocked and the freezer cases are back in operation.

This is the place my husband and I shop. Always great prices. Today I was a little disappointed that the deli section was closed but we were able to get some prepackaged meats in the deli section. Nowhere beats their prices. I tend to always purchase more than what's on my shopping list. It's a good thing. Just sorry we have to travel to Newport News to get the great deals but it's so worth it.
