Doctor Menasco was very kind and explained multiple times to myself and again to my son, River's condition. I recently moved into the area and took my dog, Penny, for the first time last week. It was a last minute appointment; they were able to get me in quickly. All the staff were very friendly as soon as I walked in the door. Dr. Grayson was great, explaining all of my options for my dog’s recent allergies and post-spay issue from our previous clinic. She thoroughly went over an estimate and we were able to come up with a plan. Within a few days, I also received a follow up call checking on my fur baby. Would highly recommend!

They have such a friendly and caring staff! We recently brought our kittens in for spay, and they've been making a great recovery. The care options for the procedure showed the steps they're willing to go to make sure your pet is cared for. Our dogs were able to get in for a rabies booster on fairly short notice. It was nice to know we could get them the care they needed with a staff dedicated to what they do.

I love, love, love Fork Union Animal Clinic! The entire staff is always professional and courteous, and Dr. Menasco answers all of my questions, never making me feel rushed. From the moment I check in, wait times are reasonable, seldom more than five minutes. I highly recommend Fork Union Animal Clinic, as does Ellie, my English Springer Spaniel.

I was very pleased with the whole practice, from the Vet to the office staff. My Dogs issues were addressed in a very caring manner and thoroughly discussed with a clear and concise game plan.This is the first time I've had real hope for him in quite a while. It's a bit complicated, but at no time did I feel 'dismissed' or unheard.An A+ was that my fur kid was comfortable with them and not nervous at all.. Animals know.

Amazing! They are very good with our Godiva Elaine! She does not like blood draws or shots. They took the time to figure out a good plan for pre visit medication, always patient and understanding with her. They ALWAYS call to check on her the next day. Hands down our furever doggy doc 😊

We know we are so fortunate to have found Fork Union Animal Clinic. We are newer to the area so we were bit uneasy about finding the right veterinarian to treat our dog. She is a very nervous dog. When we had our first visit and after, from start to finish, we feel so welcomed by everyone at the office.Dr. Menasco and the entire staff are so kind and loving towards our dog. There is no doubt that Dr. Menasco sincerely cares about our dog and all the animals she treats at her office. Dr. Menasco never rushes appointments. She takes time to listen to all our concerns, explains everything clearly and in detail. We feel confident about our dog's next step in treatment. We always receive a follow-up to check on how our dog is doing and receive test results quickly.We also noticed our dog senses the calm, sensitive treatment as she is not on her usual high level of stress for a visit. This was our dogs first visit. It went really well. The vet tech and the vet were very gentle and took it slow to let our dog get used to them. Since our dog was born, and she is now almost three, this is the first time we actually met the vet. So very nice to put a face to the name. They got me in so quickly when i was worried about sudden swelling to my dogs foot, vet Dr. philman and vet tech gretchen were so kind and compassionate towards me and my fearful dog Sadie. Even when i had questions after the appointment and sent updates on the swelling, the staff were so kind and helpful in their replies. Not to mention, the price for an urgent visit/exam/meds was so so much lower than i expected! I will definitely be switching my 5 other animals over to them.

I was treated very well in my visit. Knowing this is central Virginia and not the best of acces to modern technology, I was very happy with the Dr in her honest approach to treating by dog and his symptoms. They were very fair in pricing and on medications. I would very much recommend them to you if your pets are in need of help. I will use them again.

The technician was extra helpful. Jax was here to receive lime vaccine. When I indicated a swelling appeared to have leaked she immediately shaved the area and had the doctor examine it. No worries, but advised on care. While this seems trivial, it demonstrated their responsiveness to my dog's welfare. Other clinics are a bit closer, but Fork Union has been the greatest.

I recently moved to the area and needed a vet. I chose Fork Union because of the positive reviews. It turns out the reviews are well deserved. Dr Philman spent a lot of time teaching me about the various options for my dog's allergies. She was patient and kind. My dog is nervous by nature, but she warmed up to Dr Philman and the vet tech by the end of the visit. I wish i could remember the tech's name! I feel confident that my dog will receive great care at this hospital.
