You cannot go wrong with the views off 151. Three Notch'd has great views out back with Adirondack chairs, benches and a small play area for kids. There are cabanas available for rent (since we were there right after a rain, we may have commandeered an abandoned fire pit.)The food was decent, we started with some onion rings that were great. tThe pulled pork sandwich did not impress, but it was fine. The chili was very good. The fish and chips had a great batter and what appeared to be fresh cut fries.Oh, and they have beer....and liquor. Of all the breweries on the 151 corridor, Three Notch'd has the most consistently good options. I did not know they had the distillery until coming by, but I didn't try anything to see how it holds up

TLDR: Wonderful brunch service with excellent food and great staff. Come for the beer, bourbon cocktails and generously portioned pub food.Vibe: 5/5. Located on the long stretch of road home to a dozen breweries, wineries, cideries in Roseland, VA, Three Notch'd offers brewery hoppers a great place to grab a bite between pints. The restaurant sits on a large property that not only houses the main beer hall style restaurant, but a gift shop, axe throwing, a playground and an outdoor patio w/ lawn games. This in itself makes Three Notched a great place to spend a few hours to break up the brewery crawl monotony. Inside the beer hall, they have both ample bar seating as well as sit down tables for groups both large and small.Service: 5/5. The staff at Three Notch'd did an amazing job in catering to our large group of 21 hungry campers. I reached out to Three Notched a few weeks prior to our brunch date inquiring about a large group reservation. The sales and events manager, Dalton, was quick to reply and got us squared away for brunch. Fast forward several weeks later, we arrived promptly at our 12:30pm time slot and the staff had all of our tables ready to go, with fresh pitchers of ice water poured out and waiting. Our server did a fantastic job keeping up with the demands of our large group, taking a barrage of drink and food orders with ease. Props to both the kitchen and bar staff who were able to get all of our food out quickly and relatively at the same time, a challenging feat with a group this size to say the least!Food/Drinks: 5/5. We loved every bite! Three Notch'd has a well thought out menu of elevated bar food with a hint of southern flair. Both the beers on tap as well as the bourbon cocktails were creative and well executed. One particular cocktail, the Smoked Apple, used their bourbon combined with a blend of spices and apple butter to create a wonderfully tasty libation. On the food front, all dishes were generously portioned and hearty in nature to stand up to even the booziest of afternoons. We loved the flaky fish and chips as well as the perfectly cooked burgers (both the mushroom Swiss and pimento varieties). Price points ranged from $12-25 per entree, which we felt was reasonable given the portion sizes (we all left with to-go containers). Overall, I highly recommend making a stop at Three Notch'd part of your Roseland, VA brewery crawl!Vegetarian options: some salads availableParking: free parking in several lots in front and behind the restaurantKid-friendliness: very kid friendly menu as well as a playground behind the restaurantWheelchair accessibility: The restaurant uses high top tables inside and has stairs to get to the main entrance which would be challenging for a wheelchair

This was a pleasant surprise, as we weren't originally going to stop here, but the bourbon and brewery sign entrigued us enough to turn around. The staff is friendly, is a clean establishment, good food and drink selection, and has beautiful views. We got draft beer, an old fashion and an All-American burger w/fries. All were served promptly and tasted great. We are going to check out the other Three Notch'd Breweries in VA.

The renovations to this location when Three Notch'd took over are amazing. The space is very open and inviting, there is a bar open to the inside and outside of the building, and there is plenty of outdoor area with activities while you wait for your table. We arrived around 5pm, there was approximately a 30 minute wait, where we grabbed a drink at the bar and toured their gift shop. Once we were seated the service was excellent, the food was delicious and came out in a timely manner, and the prices were reasonable. Definitely a great stop for dinner after exploring the wineries, distilleries, or breweries in the area.

This was my second trip to Three Notch'd in Nellysford. Both times were enjoyable, and the food was great. I ordered the 40- mile Philly and they were happy to modify it to leave off the bread and just put it over fries. 😋The service was friendly and timely. It's family and dog friendly if you are looking for that, but we were able to sit on the closed in porch area for a bit of privacy. We appreciated that as well.I am not much of a beer drinker, so I can't say much about the beer. I did try a sample of their Notorious Imperial Stout, and it was quite good.Happy to have this option here in the County and look forward to going again soon.

Looks like it's gonna shape up to be a nice spot for gathering with your people with food and tasty beverages. From what I understand, it's only been open for 3-4 weeks. Our waiter told us new things, food and drink wise are coming to the menu. The place is nice, with outdoor seating for your favorite 4-legged friend! Provided they are good with others. The inside looked nice. Outside was a shop to buy shirts, glassware, and even dog water bowls! There was also cool water features like a small pond and working water wheel. They have another building outside for private events. The staff was great. They were a little busy but when they got to ya, they took the time to pay attention to you and your order, so good job, even if they brought me the wrong drink, they still done well. The food was good. Fries were typical affair, but served in a cool little basket. The burger was a little better than average, but not by much. The pork rind nachos were amazingly good. As always, three notched beers are excellent. Definitely worth going for the beer, the nachos, and a nice place to hang out with family and friends. Go check them out!Parking: Plenty of parking.Kid-friendliness: Lots of families there.

What an amazing time had at this establishment!Tucked cozily in the middle of the blue ridge mountains. Open, spacious, vibrant, and welcoming. Farmhouse vibes and a strong family atmosphere.I declare that Three Notch’d Brewery has perfected the IPA with their Minute Man IPA. One of my favorite beers with the perfect mixture of hops that lets you know your drinking an IPA without overpowering the rest of the ingredients.I was also able to sample their Hatchet Head Bourbon which, as a sipping whiskey, rivals most high dollar bourbons.Service was impeccable! Although very busy, they were attentive and intentional with providing quality customer service.

Nice area inside and out. We sat outside. We both had beers, they were okay. We ordered pretzel bites. They were not okay. It was fried dough. Not even close to a pretzel and disappointing. The cheese sauce was decent and so was the mustard. The facility seems nice though. I’d try again but I think my expectations would be lowered. We had their beer once before in Charlottesville and it also was okay. We only took pictures of the front patio and sad pretzel bites.

Looking for a good brewery, and a place to eat look no further. We did have to wait for a table, but we were seated far quicker than the expectation. This is by far the best brewery and Restaurant close to the Wintergreen resort area. The beer was absolutely fantastic and the food was incredible. I had the Philly cheesesteak, and it was by far the best one I have ever had. Also, had the Parmesan fries so delicious. The service was great and very attentive. We had Martha as our server she was fantastic!

Food was fantastic! Everyone at our table got something different and we all loved each item. Service was awesome. Very knowledgeable about menu and friendly. The only reason I gave them 4 stars for the atmosphere was we got there very late and there was no crowd. Perhaps in the bar area, but we weren't seated near there. We will be back! Thanks.

Realized we were not charged happy hour prices for drinks even though we were there at 4:30 (happy hour ends at 5:00). Hamburger was mediocre at best - not rare as we requested.Fries were terrible - Little pieces and over cooked. Very disappointed will probably not go back. They need to do a lot better. Our friends got a chicken sandwich which looked to be fried to death. Iron and Ale does a much better job with their burgers.

Went here with the family. Busy place. Had a band that night with some good blues. Good vibes. When we sat down the waitress informed us there were no fries. Sad.. (first world problem). Then we saw fresh fries being taken to other tables. We asked our waitress about it. She said let me get my manager. The manager stated “we did not want to over promise and under deliver”: fair. Then he said I’ll double check our supply and if we have some we will give you 3 free orders. They had some. Kudos to the manager. Thank you! The beer is excellent here. When in stock the sweet potato truffle fries are the best!! After this experience we will be back for sure.Kid-friendliness: Good place for the kids with outdoor seating in the shade. And yard games to play and they have a kids menu. Just ask the sever.
