Just an update: I take Rudy for a grooming appointment about every 3 months. So it's been around 15 times maybe. I cannot say enough good things about the owner and the employees. There has NEVER been a cut, clip, or any accident that has caused Rudy to be in pain. Each & every time he's perfect, beautiful,& smells amazing. I always get the full list of services. Bath and cut, nails trimmed, teeth brush and ears.. YEARS LATER & I'm still so happy w their safety record & grooming abilities. Still 5 ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐!This post was 3 years ago.One weekend near end of April, took my fur-baby for his 1st grooming appt. He was so beautiful!! They did an amazing job. He was happy and excited when I picked him up, and I'm so grateful that they did such great work. No worries of accidents or injury, & that's worth so much. Thanks bunches!!Highly recommend!! Great location and easy to find.

I texted them and was able to walk in with my dog that day for a self-serve wash. Everything was clean and ready to go. They provide everything you need, shampoo, towels, a heated two speed blow dryer, leashes and harnesses. The raised wash bed is worth it in of itself, my German Shepperd is 60 pounds cost me $20 for half an hour and they clean up after you. I'll never wash her at home with the hose again and break my back. Worth every penny!

Just had a GREAT first experience using the self wash stations with our two boys. Both hate baths and one despises nail clippings. We were able to take both things at once. It was the easiest bath we've ever given them. Super helpful staff, and the first time anyone has ever explained to me why our one pups nails don't wear down...he's flatfooted. Who knew! We will absolutely be back, and are so glad to have a professional service like this locally!

Took my dog today for a self wash. I was impressed with the facilities. Everything was clean and organized. Pleasant experience. Don't ask my dog who hates baths!

Poor customer service, sophomoric communication. As a new customer, I signed their contract but made it clear in writing I would not be held liable for expenses in cases of negligence or not meeting the standards of the professional trade group to which they belong. They groomed my dog and said nothing of it. The next time I reached out to schedule an appointment, they texted that they were refusing service because “I wanted to make too many changes” to their waver. Then they refused to talk to me about it. Happy to take my business elsewhere.

We have been taking our little baby Chico to these lovely ladies for about 3 yrs. Chico loves these girls and that is most important to us. They have always taken such good care of Chico and always professional and friendly. We have never had a bad experience with them and don't believe we will. If you love your pet and want them to be in good hands, I highly recommend Retro Rover

What a wonderful idea! We have a Great Dane that is impossible to wash indoors, and are excited to take advantage of this in the winter when outdoor bathing is not an option. Prices seem fair and staff was very friendly when we stopped in to check it out.

Just a huge shout out to Retro Rover Grooming Salon. Our sweet puppy went in for a spur of the moment groom and they called to let me know something was not right with Mimo. She finished him promptly and urged me to get him to the vet right away. Well thank goodness for those wonderful people because he ended up having a tick borne illness, anaplasmosis, and his platelet count was only at 10. (Normal range is 200-500). A full recovery is expected, just wanted to publicly express how amazing the staff is there and an absolute tragedy has been avoided because of their care and concern. It’s always a beautiful spa day at Retro Rover for my fur baby! Thank you so much!!

The lady told us to use the 1st was when there was an option of 2. Then my dog didnt want to go in to the tub because it was metal and the lady was adjusting the water, when l vould have myself. When he came out of the tube the same metal step was going to be slick cause his paws were wet so he didn't want to come out. They have used towels to dry the dogs off with and no steps to put your animal on to get to drying section. It was a mess, bad experience😤...North main in Blacksburg is really good😁

I texted to see about getting my mini golden doodle an appointment for grooming they text me back with a pic serving small dogs under 20 pounds they ask me what breed I told them then they said not excepting clients wth she’s small and under 20 pounds seems like this place is not very professional!!

We haven't purchased a groom yet, only the self-service bathing station. It's very convenient if you have a larger dog that is hard to bath at home.
