I've never heard of Food City before I passed though in need of a Restroom but by golly...they have put the usual culprits, Giant, Shoppers, Food Lion, Aldi, Harris Teeter, etc to shame. These folks have a bar that I didn't know could be attained .They have large meat selections reminiscent of what I've seen in Texas...large, red chunks of meat that seem like the butcher and livestock farms are just up the road.I'm a way, we all have to see things from where we stand. I found IHOP brand coffee: chocolate, regular, and buttery syrup blends. So, from where I reside, you can't find these varieties. I should also add that their pastery offerings were notable. I mean, I believe they had some cappuccino, scores cupcakes and banana pudding cake. It's a glutton's paradise and I'm here for it.Until we meet again Food City. XO 🤗

Love this grocery store. Very clean, with great selections of products. Wish they had one in Roanoke but I dont mind the 30 minute drive.

The people are pretty friendly here, and it's another option for Radford University students to go to for their grocery needs. Both of my daughters have come here for food when Walmart had it overpriced or when Food Lion was sold out. The gas station for this place is also pretty affordable with competitive prices.

Really great selection in the meat department. Was able to get both a Boston butt and a rack of ribs from the back. Very clean store and friendly staff.

Food City has a vast selection of products that Kroger & Food Lion do not carry! We LOVE shopping at Food City. Wish we had one closer to our home. We only shop at Food City when we visit Gatlinburg!!!

Tried ordering a two piece white meat chicken meal from the deli and was informed that was against company policy. Was told I could have any other chicken piece as a two piece just not a breast and wing. Told them to keep it and went to KFC. Never heard of this practice before.

If you don't feel like cooking; This's the place to grab something good and delicious, there's variety of pastas, salads, seafood, soups, chicken wings, fry chicken and don't forget the topical roast chicken......but if you feel like cooking; they had it all for your favorite dishes to prepared👌

Food city removed my entire review! Musta had a couple paragraphs here originally...anyway the moldy and decomposing food pics are still here i see. I think i went there soon after their grand opening. This is a dollar tree/dollar general quality supermarket with lots of tv dinners and frozen pizza/junk items. Produce and meat dept were both disgusting...anwyay.

Awesome place. Like Kroger & Trader Joes had a secret child. Huge fresh produce section. Deli full of fresh cut meats & cheeses. I LOVED the seafood section, huge variety of items, and the Cajun options reminded me of home on the Gulf. Awesome beer & wine isle & they have a wine & brew bar inside the store. Associates are friendly and the location is very clean.

Very unhappy with y’all’s gas attendants they are never on time and if you want to pay with cash they will make you wait till they are ready. Very unprofessional

I came to fill a growler 20 minutes before the bar closed, and waited until past 7:15 and nobody was there the entire time i waited. There were no other customers besides a couple who was clearly wasted, and im sure whatever employeewas supposed to be working was just trying to avoid them... but they needed supervision. The girl fell out of her chair but at least they got service.

Much cleaner than Food Lion, some of the prices are higher but I have always continued shopping at Food City largely for their 5/19.99 deal in the meat department. Great affordable way to stock your freezer with real food.

This place went downhill fast. I wish Wades was still around. That was a great place to shop. Your selection is awful your ready made food is the worst. Cold wings that are hard and dry???? Then the staff, next to useless. Nobody can help you. Theres never anyone at customer service to actually help. Last time I'll visit here. Worst grocery store in the area. I'd give this place negative stars if i could.

This is a review of their in-store cafe and not the rest of the grocery store. We like the rest of the store. The cafe disappointed in our visit today. After looking at the hot food line and found it unappealing we ordered a chicken tender sandwich and a Reuben sandwich. The person selected several chicken tenders from the hot line and put them is a box and took them to the kitchen window and put in the order for the Reuben and said they would be ready shortly. We paid and went to a table. In a few minutes the chicken tender sandwich was ready and in a take home box. The Reuben was going to take a few minutes longer. I took the sandwich to my wife. She opened the box and there was the sandwich, tenders on a bun and nothing else. No lettuce, no tomato just tenders on a bun. So she doctored it with the little condiments on the utensil table. She had ordered tea and was given a cup. But there was no tea to be found so she got Sprite. Now for the Reuben. 10 minutes to fix a Reuben. When I got it, it was a grease bomb. This was the second time it took exceptionally long to get our order. The same happened on our second visit to the cafe a few months ago. That food was not good either. This was our third and last visit to their cafe.

Never shopped here before last week. I will have to say that it is comparable to a Kroger's. Bet bigger aisles and far more registers. Had a coffee shop and a small dinner inside

Used to be a great place to get a make your own six pack of craft beer but the past few months the shelves are half empty. Hope they do better soon.
