So disappointment is an understatement, i am a manager at a local business in christiansburg and it pains me to see a store in this area in such shape as the one on peppers ferry road. Its clear the staff here doesnt care about the curb appeal of the store. The outside was worse than the inside but only because it was outside , as far as mess is concerned theyre was really zero difference.If you apply for a job, you would think the applicant would take pride in their place of business that alsl provides them with the ability to live essentially. But based off of the overall appearance of this location its clear there is a serious lack of structure and organization as well as cleanliness. The convenience of this location is nice, but im not exactly comfortable taking my child to a location where when i pull into the parking lot, i see employees standing where customers can park directly next to them as well as see them clearly smoking as well as other suspicious activity that makes it for an very uncomfortable experience.Dress code needs to be addressed because i shouldnt see 3 inches of a buttox when a employee is stocking shelves. Went to check out and one employees was 5ft away and didnt even acknowledge that we were standing there. Instead the employee walked up to the self checkout where a friend im assuming (it was the same person in the parking lot with the employee when we pulled into the parking lot) was scanning a drink up and proceeded to chit chat with the friend. They then walked past us with zero acknowledgement us standing there with the friend asking the employee for a cigarette as they walked out the door, mind you we had only been in the store for 10 mins so its good to know the company is paying their employee to smoke cigarettes with friends while paying customers wait inside. But i digress, a moment or two later the other employee whom was working in the back came up to the register and said and i quote "i apologize for the wait guys" , it was clear this young man was doing on the work while the other employee was too busy socializing outside in a extremely unprofessional manner. To have this much trash outside the least the employee could have done is pick up trash since she was outside anyways.This location needs a serious overhaul as well as probably drug testing some of the employees because any normal human being wouldnt act the way the employee that was going outside was acting. Both when we arrived as well as when we left the employee was outside with the friend smoking and acting very sparatic and suspicious. We will most likely not be returning to this location until improvements are made.Best reguardsA disappointed christiansburg resident.

The girl with the glasses she always be trying to sell people stuff being annoying following people around refuses sell calling people liars because I was in the hospital just got out, I sent my cousin’s wife up there to buy me cigarettes who is overage, who was buying herself some too. She used her card, then mine, and she told her she couldn’t do that. said you have to have an ID she did and I’m 34 years old. I go in the store all the time that’s the last time I spent my money in there. I ain’t gonna make her paycheck for her.

I came by at 8pm on a Saturday night. Door inside was open. Door closest to outside was locked. All the lights were on and register light was on. I figured someone was in the bathroom. I waited 10 minutes and no one ever came out. I called the store phone and it rang and rang until the phone hung up.

The staff are great here. They'll answer questions or help you find an item without following you through the store. The layout is convenient and the store is always clean. I would give it 5 stars but their items are more limited than the store in Dublin.

Lazy employees, super messy store anxiety when you walk in so much junk setting around. These employees would rather argue with you than do their job.Took off to the back when they had a line I have my receipt you can pull the camera but you were employee has no right to call me. Oh, you’re one of those because she literally took off to the back of the store when there was three people standing at the store and decided to argue with me about cashing out.

Customer service is good the store is a little unorganized I guess cuz they're probably putting stuff on the shelves but I mean it's convenient place good place to go but I don't think it's over the top

DON’T USE FEDEX DROP OFFLost 2 FedEx packages. Dropped off on a Saturday, upon drop off the employee had to move his personal belongings out of the FedEx drop off area. Refused to provide me a receipt. I called continuously for 10 minutes straight at a time on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday because the tracking hadn’t updated. Nobody answers the phone. Got in contact with the District Manger, she was of no help, told me I’d receive a call from the stores Assistant Manager and never did. 2 weeks later and the tracking has yet to update.

I like this Dollar General location for it's convenient location to my home, but also because of the selection as well as a competent staff. My only complaint would be the cramped aisles, (mostly due to employees stocking merchandise in the middle of the day) which makes it feel quite claustrophobic at times. 4 stars

They have the stuff you would expect at a convenient store which is why I give it 1 star but the reason I’m not giving it 5 is because of the employees there’s barley anyone around and you could be stuck waiting for a while, I had gone in recently with my little brother and was followed by the manager while picking out products that I wanted, once I got up to checkout I used the self checkout because I felt uncomfortable so I’m scanning everything and I look up to the manager staring me down then trying to look away like I didn’t see him staring At me and my younger brother I’m very upset that I can’t feel comfortable shopping inside of this dollar general.

I had a tragic death in my family last Friday and I broke down in the store. The young cashier was SO COMPASSIONATE and calm. I can't remember her name. God bless her and the store manager helping me until I could regain my composure to check out. I can't thank her enough! She was the angel I needed at that moment!

This store popped up close to my house which is a godsend because you have to travel to Fairlawn or Christiansburg for your nearest stores and sometimes I don't really want to do that especially if it's a quick grab and go run. Employees are always friendly and helpful. Store is clean. The only thing I wish they did (no fault of their own mind you) was to stay open till midnight. I work till 11pm and wished it was open for when I have to get something after work instead of having to trudge through Walmart. I know just my personal grievances but, seriously, great little store!

The isles are to small and you can barley get to the front to checkout cause they have the fingernail polish rgt in the way. Clean store though and extra nice ppl that are working there today!!! Overall a great store!!!

I can Always get what I need quickly and is much more convenient than going to other big box stores for Necessities the service is always good the employees are friendly and helpful and the stores are laid out and as I said before you can grab whatever you need very quickly
