While we were walking around Floyd we kept seeing people with these amazing drinks, ice cream cones and shakes. After several hours of shopping and walking we wanted something refreshing. We knew exactly where to go, The Sofa Fountain. I devoured my Buffalo Gal with whipped cream, basically a root beer float. My nephew has an IPA Red, which he enjoyed. My sister decided to order something that was not on the menu. She ordered a cola with cherry syrup. She absolutely loved it. This is well worth a visit.

Came here while Floyd Country Store next door was hosting a live music performance. They had a connecting door opened so you could go right between the two establishments.Good price for how many flavors and customizations they offer ($2.50 for a small ice cream cup, which is 1 large scoop). The only malt when I went was coffee flavored, so that was a bummer.

After a Sunday afternoon playing in a Bluegrass Jam Circle, I snuck over to this ice cream parlor. To my surprise, I saw they had switched to @Tillamook brand ice cream….which comes from the dairy I grew up around on the entire other side of the country. Tillamook is a dairy co-op of multiple farmers in Oregon and they make the best cheese and ice cream! Loved the variety of soda, shakes, and cones offered!

This place is amazing but I don't quite know where to begin. It's full of awesome contradictions. It's like stepping back in time but new at the same time? Familiar yet unique? Eh, it's Floyd so just go with it man, it's an experience! I've been a few times and sampled the sodas, the properly made milkshakes and had waffles and ice cream. Highly recommend stopping in and checking it out.

BEST ICE CREAM PLACE EVER! Honestly this is my favorite ice cream place! The cones are warm and soft when you get them but if you like the crunchy cones you wait like 5 minutes and they get crunchy. The ice cream is so creamy and delicious! I am definitely going again! The only con is that the line is SUPER long at lunchtime so definitely go a little early, but other then that it is GREAT!

Wow! MUST STOP BY---They MAKE their own WAFFLE CONES FRESH right there, which is DELICIOUS! And a totally different taste-experience. Top off with your favorite scoop of ice cream!!! yum yum!!!Quaint little shop..you will never forget----was a little surprise we found in Floyd VA. We WILL BE going back before we head home to Mississippi..

I've been here twice in a year and the food is awful. Cold and I've had better hotdogs at the movie theater or circle K. The specialty soft drinks look amazing and refreshing on the menu. I've had better flavored alka seltzer.Gave it another shot last week and had an alcoholic drink this time. Awful. Tasted like alka seltzer with ice cream in it. My son's tasted like bug spray. If looks was all that mattered I'd give it 5 stars.Maybe the people go for the ice cream.This place is not cheap by any means

This place is a must of you are in Floyd. The staff are so nice, the food is fresh and always good. The baked goods are my favorite.
