Really nice, clean and well stocked store. The staff always have a friendly smile and a hello for you, no matter how busy the place may be. They carry a great selection of hard to find soup starters and other little goodies. Their deli is top notch. Wonderful selection of top quality meats and cheeses. I love that they serve fresh made to order, while you wait, sandwiches. The meats and cheeses are freshly sliced. Even on a busy Saturday, there was only about a 5 minute wait for our lunch. Their selection of bulk packaged candy, nuts and dried fruits are tremendous. I can take the grand kids there, and I know exactly where to find them in the store. They are open 6 days a week to serve you. Please check them out if you can. They are a community hot spot.

Great store. The barbecue sandwiches are the best I've ever had, they are huge and only $5.50, you can make two meals of it.The people are always friendly. Great custard filled eclairs and other baked goods. Great cheese and deli meat, cut to your request. I love their selection of flour, candies,snacks etc. Check this place out.

We live right behind this place and LOVE it!! Tons of natural GOOD foods as well as a lot of little things you don’t see in most grocery stores anymore. Go spend your lunch break there and see how much stuff you come out with! You just can’t help yourself!

I regret not taking photos because it would be so worth showing you. The good thing is there's lots of photos here on Google. This is an outstanding market. The prices are unbelievable. The quality is unbelievable. And believe me when I tell you if there's things that you cannot find in a traditional market you will be able to find it here! Many items such as different flours to bake with ... They are all here! All sorts of pre-made items, nuts, candies, treats, jams, canning supplies, knives and you get the picture, you name it, it's all there. Quite a fascinating store.As for their meats, I can't say much because I don't eat meat. But all of my friends love their sandwiches and many of the things that they offer when it comes to meat. If you're looking just to stop by and pick up something for lunch or dinner, I would suggest doing it.I'm very pleased overall with the quality and service of heritage family market. This place is hopping so just know that sometimes it is very busy in there especially during holidays and weekends. Update: Grab a sandwich form and make your selections......bread, meat, cheese, condiments. Deposit it on right side of deli and roam the aisles until they call your name. It won't take long. Then enjoy a really fresh well made sandwich made exactly to your specificationsApple Butter BBQ sauce adds the Chefs Kiss ...Heritage Family Market BBQ Fridays. For so many 'que pushers the bun is just an afterthought...but not here....it's almost like they built this sandwich around the bun....complete opposite but if you know your BBQ is really good then work backwards......Been going this route for years and have always thought "I should stop here". But usually I had always stopped in Roanoke and just wanted to keep on keeping on. Finally I let my inner voice win and I stopped. So glad I did. This may be called a market but it is so much more. They have tons of candy and treats of all kinds. As my bro in law said this is where Willie Wonka comes to binge. They have an amazing deli and they make sandwiches to order.

If you haven't been to the Heritage Market, you definitely need to put it on your stop list. Amazing fresh cuts on made to order sandwiches for lunch! We stop every time we are working in Fincastle for lunch.And an incredible selection of spices and all other great things! Wonderful staff, and all around, a very cool place to check out.P.S. - the 12 flavor gummy bears are my all time favorite!! Wonderful texture and incredible spot on flavor 🤙

Best place to stop for a sandwich. I call it the "inflation buster" because of how good a deal you get on a sandwich. You'd pay double elsewhere for a sandwich this good. Nice selection of goods and sweets.

I love the Heritage Market, they have a great selection of the tastiest meats and cheeses. They have the BEST homemade bread, I've had the white, sourdough, and the Italian bread and all were fantastic. They also make sandwiches to order which are always loaded and yummy. I also love the molasses cookies and their fried hand pies. They have tons of local goods as well. The staff is great and always helpful. We tried the strawberry macaroons and they were the best macaroons I've ever had!

I stopped there with my sister on the way to Clifton Forge. I bought some smoked swiss cheese and it is the best I’ve ever eaten! Will go back every time I’m in the area. Wish I had bought more!

My wife and I frequently visit her family in Clifton Forge and The Heritage Family Market is an absolute MUST on the way there. If I don't spend $200 dollars a visit on snacks, meats, grains, sandwiches and sandwich meats, I feel like I've cheated myself. This business is my favorite establishment bar none. We have even considered buying land and building a house in Fincastle, and Heritage Family Market is absolutely one of the factors, not even kidding. :-) I hope this business stays around for a VERY long time. Love this place.

Excellent pricing, excellent service, excellent people. A great place to grab a quick lunch, cooking supplies, or satisfy a sweet tooth with a huge selection of candies and sweets, cheeses, hams and so much more. Nearly everything is imported from Pennsylvania from Amish Country or made locally.

Had a wonderful time with friends there. Bought several items and then had a very good Turkey sandwich on cheesy Italian bread with lettuce, tomatoes, mayonnaise and bananas peppers. We ate outside under a shelter and enjoyed our lunch. Hope to visit there again.

Not as good as the Cheese Shop in Stuart Draft. Heritage shop is way smaller and doesn't offer a variety of items. Hate to say but I will be driving back to Stuart Draft,Va. My first and last time at this shop. Looking for black walnuts only had 4 small bags not larger bags like Cheese Shop. Very disappointed in this shop and waste of time.

Since discovering this incredible little market in Fincastle, if I am driving by, I will always stop in! The sandwiches and deli are awesome (triple meat, double cheese plus any and all toppings for $8?!) and everything I’ve tried has been delicious.They have an incredibly vast selection of dry bulk goods, pre-packaged in varying weights. So many local items including the most divine cream puffs from a local bakery, local eggs and meat.If you happen to be in the area, make it a point to stop in. Every employee I have ever interacted with has been more than pleasant, as well as super helpful.

This place is amazing, they have a plethora of items, fantastic BBQ sandwiches and free coffee on Friday. The next time I come to Virginia, I will be stopping in again.
