Food Lion in Farmville, VA, recently was very helpful in our Food Drive coordinated by the South Central Association of Realtors. I'm very grateful for the $25 store gift card offered by management to contribute towards my total Food Drive purchase of $132.78 on 3/10/21. The additional canned and dry goods are helping local charities in need, and more members of our community who need food are receiving a boost. Thanks to Food Lion for this contribution!

The staff here have very bad attitude. Walmart employees are very nice. It’s no wonder this company got knocked out by Walmart.

Online Ordering & P/U Perspective: Check your bags before you leave! Not sure what the issue is - but the last two orders I've placed has charged me for items I did not receive despite what's reflected on the receipt. Instacart provided me a refund. Everyone I interacted with was pleasant and forward about what they did/didn't know.

Everything is well stocked and easily accessible. The associates are extremely friendly and helpful. I rode in the motorized cart and as soon as I pulled up to the register the cashier greeted me asked if I found everything and started ringing up my items while another associate helped me take my things out of the basket and put it on the belt. This is the friendliest and most helpful Food Lion I have been to I will return again.

Only have one issue and that is that their produce has started to go downhill like Walmart's. Their produce was the only thing that separated them from bottom chains. I hope they can turn this around. There yesterday...still not better. Hope this changes soon or we will be going to markets. SMH!

Used the curbside pick up for the first time. It's a great service all except the bags were loaded too heavy. I am disabled and can only use one hand and use a cane to walk with and had a hard time getting the groceries in after I got home. Other than that it's an awesome service.

What a fantastic grocery store. It's not the largest in size but the selections are good. It's a great hometown style grocery store and very clean, with plenty of parking.

Food Lion here in Farmville VA has been excellent before & since the pandemic. Wonderful selection of organic options for everything & nice price! Service, employee moral & attitudes are top notch. Our community has gone the extra mile to be kind & courteous to one another ❤ Love shopping there!

I needed to write a review because they do a $5 holiday donation box of non-perishables that goes to those in need. The staff is mostly friendly and their Food Lion brand items are amazing deals for same name brand price. Either get a membership card or ask them at the counter to use the store one because some of the deals for having the card are NUTS!!

Always do my grocery shopping there. Meats are better than Walmart, even though, I shop at Walmart a lot, some items are cheaper than Food Lion. Always good to have options. Love both places.

Nice place to shop and not crowded unless it's a holiday. Will give rainchecks if out. Also they have curbside pickup. Produce was good Especially the watermelon 🍉 and sweet.

The worst Food Lion! Shelves are always empty. Never, and I mean never enough cashiers. Today the Customer Service desk was closed!!! I don’t know who does the scheduling or if they are just hoping everyone will wait in line 20 minutes to check themselves out but it’s truly indicative of the area. So frustrating. ALL THE TIME!

Nice to see a clean and orderly store and it was really nice during this virus that they did all that they could do for their customers if there wasn't something on the Shelf they would always look in the back to see if it was available they were always apologetic the managers for items that you couldn't find and they are courteous and they are always available to help, unlike other stores. I do enjoy going into the store

I love this place. The staff is very warm and eager to help. Everyone will chat as if lifelong friends reconnected. The shelves r usually stocked well and it's very clean.

Since this store was refurbished its no where remotely close to what it previously was. The deli is really lacking quality personnel. I've been in the store 2 times this week. Same ole same ole. Plenty of space for hot food yet very little available. I even did my shopping and came back about 20 minutes later. Same thing. On a higher note, the fresh fruit and veggie section is really good. As far as the rest of the store, everything is all mixed up. A lot of back and forth. Maybe that's the plan though. Hope they turn it around. And soon. I will shop Wal-Mart if I have to though. God luck.

Small town so not many options. Store always clean. Staff has the nice, warm, down to earth personality. Use the digital app and coupon stand to get best discounts. Plenty of parking. Pretty decent selection of items and brands.

Excellent grocer for the area. Can be absolutely packed at times. Has self checkout lanes which some folks use. Didn't have the 20pk of flavored water I was looking for, only reason for 4/5.

Management could have been a little more helpful with finding an item I was looking for. The deli was the first place I searched since I parked on that side of the building. Didn’t see it so I went to dairy (which is where I thought he said the item was when I called) and still didn’t see it. Asked one of the employees where I could find it and the manager rudely replied “I told her over the phone it was in deli.” Well sir, I didn’t see it in deli, the closest I could find was in the produce section. And the cashier acted like she didn’t even want to touch my hand while giving me my change. I gave one star because there were a couple of employees who were very nice and seemed to want to help.
