It's been a week since we had to pack up and come home after our extended Anniversary weekend and I asked my wife if she was ready to go back and watch some more sunrise/sunsets from the deck of Pilots Perch. Her answer was absolutely YES!Our stay at this beautiful cabin was wonderful. It was clean, the linens fresh, the kitchen equipped to prepare our meals, the location and views unmatched and the decks expansive, and the Hot Tub was a nice bonus to relax at the end of the day.Our weekend was just for the two of us, but Pilots Perch has plenty of room to bring along your family for a little time visiting all the nearby destinations.It was a perfect place to celebrate our anniversary; we were able to feel comfortable and relaxed just like at home, but without the distractions and everything that busy lives at home bring.If you are looking for a great place to book your get-a-way, book NOW, before someone else does!

My wife and I needed a get-away for or birthdays and I must say, we could not have chosen better time spent, than the time we had at this beautiful cabin. The awesome views took our breath away. Everything at Pilots Perch Too is perfection and I wish I could give it a higher rating than 5 as it is definitely a 10+ in our eyes. Thank you to our wonderful hosts Tannya and Blake and please don’t change a thing. We will be back for another great visit very soon.

My husband and I celebrated our 22nd anniversary at Pilots Perch this year. I stumbled across the listing and I'm so glad that I did. The views were amazing and it's so peaceful. Multiple deer walked up very close to us on a hike to the waterfall, and two mornings in a row we witnessed hawks kettling while we had our coffee on the balcony. We hiked on the property every day and drove the Blue Ridge Parkway to Mabry Mill but we honestly could have stayed in the cabin our entire 4 day stay and I would have been happy. Tannya and Blake were great hosts! We hope to return again in the future!

We are retired and have been traveling for over (10) years now, have stayed in over (100) different places through the years, without a doubt, Pilot's Perch ranks #1 on our list, it has it all. Only a (2) hour drive from Charlotte, Best View, Great Hot Tub, Close to New River Trail for Great Biking and the Blue Ridge Music Center, Well Stocked, By Far the Best Directory to show you how to work everything in the house. We loved it and cannot wait to return. 5+ Star Place!

We had a fantastic stay this past weekend at Pilot's Perch Too! The cabin is lovely and exactly as described in the social media materials. Tannya is an excellent host and was extremely responsive and welcoming! The view is exceptional and we spent hours looking at it. I only wish we had been there in a warmer month so we could have lived on the deck. I guess we must return! 😉

We celebrated our 35th anniversary at Pilot’s Perch and had the most relaxing time! From the beautiful sunrises as seen from bed to the gorgeous sunsets enjoyed from the hot tub, we can’t say enough about the cabin. It was spotlessly clean, super comfortable and included everything you need for a nice getaway. We were there on a particularly cold and windy weekend but enjoyed the decks and the hot tub each day due to the partially enclosed decks. The owners are very organized and obviously pay attention to every detail. We hope to return in the near future!

We celebrated our 50th wedding anniversary with a relaxing stay at Pilot’s Perch for five nights. The view of the mountains was breathtaking and reminded us daily of God’s majestic handiwork. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed and very clean. The community was very quiet and the few neighbors we met were very friendly.The owners, Tannya & Blake were very nice to deal with!

My wife and I stayed at Pilot's Perch from 6/7-6/11, 2023. The cabin had everything we needed and then some. The views are amazing (even with the slight haze from the Canadian wild fires). You can see for miles. We spent many hours on the deck just soaking in the panoramic views. We are already planning our next venture back to Pilot's Perch. If you like wild life, you will probably see plenty. We even had a doe bedding in the front flower bed. Peaceful place to getaway, and yet there is plenty to do in the surrounding area. Tanya Hughes was a great host to work with. The process from booking to departure was very easy and well communicated.

If I could give more then 5 stars I would! Visited Pilot's Perch the last week of August 2021 and I can say it was definitely as gorgeous as the pictures! You won't be disappointed!! Look forward to going back!!

Recently stayed at Pilot's Perch Too to celebrate our wedding anniversary. The cabin itself is just beautiful and the views from the porch are spectacular! Tannya and Blake were wonderful hosts..the cabin is well stocked with everything you need to enjoy your stay. We had rainy, stormy weather for a few days. But it was nice to just sit and relax and watch the clouds in the valley below. This was our first visit but won't be out last. We are already trying to figure out when we can return for another visit!

The most amazing view I've ever seen. Hot tub, clean cabin, 2 🎣 ponds , 2 decks out the back, quiet setting, abundant wildlife. Couldn't have found a better place to celebrate our 5th anniversary with the family.

Wow – Pilot's Perch Too is the perfect mountain cabin! The view is spectacular (especially sunrise and sunset) – by far the best view we have found at any mountain cabin. Location is very private and great for watching wildlife (we saw deer every day) and it's close to the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is extremely well-maintained and immaculate. The decor is charming – quintessential mountain log cabin. The furnishings (beds, patio chairs, etc.) are all very comfortable. Kitchen is very well-equipped. Tannya is a wonderful host – she made our arrival such a welcoming and inviting experience. Her communication is superb. She provided detailed directions to the cabin and sent a wealth of information in advance about the area (restaurants, local attractions, shops, etc.) We didn’t have to spend any time researching the area because she provided everything we could have wanted. Thank you Tannya for such a fantastic experience!! We had a lovely time and definitely want to return!

My husband and I spent three amazing nights at Pilot's Perch in late May. It was a very positive experience from booking until check out. Tannya reached out immediately after our request to book was received and continued to communicate with us up to our arrival. She was willing to answer any question that I had prior to our arrival. One extremely nice and very welcome touch was a pre-arrival email, complete with instructions/directions for everything you might need to use during your stay, directions to the cabin, and helpful information for activities/restaurants in nearby areas to help in planning.Upon arrival, we found the cabin exactly as described....It was perfect...spotless and so completely equipped for your stay. We bought a little food and were able to prepare and enjoy it in the comfort of the cabin. Everything we needed was located in the cabin....just like home utilized! We utilized the lower deck with fire pit and loved to have a swim or two in the hot tub each day....the views were amazing!We can't say enough about our experience at Pilot's Perch. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for sheer perfection and privacy! The stay exceeded our expectations and we would love to return one day! Thanks, Tannya, for your hospitality!

Our 3 days at Pilot’s Perch Too, exceeded all expectations. The cabin is welcoming and beautiful, stocked with everything you need. The view from the deck is incredible. You are actually above the clouds! We hiked, relaxed, played games and of course ate. We cooked all our meals in house. A highlight was a ride to Pilot Knob State Park, where we also hiked. It was hard to leave but we will be back!

When I started to look for a place to surprise my wife with a weekend get away I happened to find Pilot's Perch. I sent an email about booking and in what seemed like minutes I had a response. After reading the reviews I decided this was the place for my surprise weekend away. So here it is down and dirty. I was not only happy but I can not speak highly enough for this location. My wife and I loved every single second of our time here. From the start of the planning till even several days after Tannya was beyond helpful and made sure our weekend was perfect. She provided me with all of the best spots to go and enjoy the fall, along with some of the best options for food, wine, hiking, sight seeing, and pretty much anything we needed. I was taken back with how perfect the cabin was and to say the least "my wife loved it...including the personalized note" We have started to look at dates for a return trip and 100% will be staying here again. If you are looking for that "perfect place" I promise you that this is the spot you want. I have stayed at several places like this over my many years and I am 100% confident that this is the very very best I have ever stayed at.

Our stay a Pilot's Perch was fantastic! That VIEW! The hosts were very responsive to our needs. They pointed out all the local places to eat, shop, and visit. The place was spotless clean, the kitchen very well stocked, and it has all the amenities for a home away from home. We'll be back again. I highly recommend!

This was our 4th trip to Pilot's Perch. Every time we go we are just in awe of the view. You can relax on either deck and take in the beauty of God's creation. The peace and quiet and the tranquility of the hot tub and fire pit are simply amazing. And getting to do all that with the love of your life, well it doesn't get any better than that. Thank you Blake & Tannya for sharing your beautiful cabin with us as we celebrated our 41st wedding anniversary. The cabin is very well kept and the view is absolutely amazing! You will enjoy the sunrise and the beautiful skies at sunset also. Enjoy the hottub and outdoor fire pit on a cold winter day. The owners are very informative and quick to respond to any questions. The best cabin with the best view we have stayed in.

The word "wow" was the first word I uttered when I opened the cabin door. Not only was the view from the wall of windows spectacular, but the cleanliness, decor, lack of odd "odors," space, comfort, welcoming note, detailed information, [shall I go on?] made me ever so glad I had stumbled upon this magical place.Tannya was a delight to work with and work with us she did during this "age of the pandemic" and wonky scheduling. She is extremely attentive to any and all details which does qualify her as a "hostess with the mostest."We have rented several cabins in various locations over the years and by far, this had to be the best -- location, view, promised amenities, did I mention cleanliness and lack of odd "odors?" [Flashbacks to a fishy odor in a cottage at the beach -- not the ocean, but apparently "fish-in-'fridge" smell -- *shudder*] 😲Everything claimed on the website is true.The four of us, all adults, could spread out comfortably in the spacious areas. For the older of us in the group [59-year-old knees] there was a lovely ground floor bedroom with a huge bathroom. The younger in the group [mid-thirties] opted to take the downstairs bedroom where they could see the twinkling lights of Mt. Airy at night and had their own large bath.Every convenience of home is within. I even got excited at the existence of a full-sized washer/dryer!We walked within the confines of the community -- a two-mile, two-hour hike -- where we discovered waterfalls and water features, wildflowers, and hills. She even warns you about the hills so we were well prepared with good shoes and walking sticks.Do not hesitate to rent this lovely cabin. If you do, don't hesitate to venture out to the surrounding areas and support the local businesses as everyone we met was so very gracious. Our only regret was we couldn't stay longer...like a year...or two.
