Wonderful campground! We were the first campers of 2024, and we won a small prize. We had a wonderful view, it was very quiet and off the beaten path. Lots of activities for children and cute cottages for folks to stay in. Our site was nice and level and we had no problems with power or water. Definitely recommend this KOA and we hope to return in the future!

We rolled in after dark and were completely confused by our site. We called the number, and a gentleman was over in a jiffy to explain that the ENTIRE AREA was part of tent site 40. Seriously, bring your kids here. There's lots of room at this particular site for them to run and play, including a wooded incline, and it's very close to the playground. My boys would have loved this site when they were 6-10 years old! It was also very quiet, and we slept well.

An Amazing Stop. From the greeting we felt welcomed. Service was met at our truck window upon entrance. We were guided to our spot and he even brought our ice. Later in the evening we texted for there food delivery service.! We ordered the Smokey Pig pizza which was outstanding! Even had time to sit by the pond on the swing and play some of the games as well! Thanks for making this stop great We found this place very accommodating and convenient

We only planned on a quick overnight stay here back in April but ended up spending a second night because we loved it so much. The landscape was so gorgeous and all the guests around us were so friendly, quiet, and respectful. The staff was fantastic and the pizza they delivered to our site was delicious! The restrooms and showers were clean and well-maintained. We will definitely return for a longer stay in the future.

Gal greeted us as we drove into the campground, saw that we were registered, and we were taken to our site. When fuses blew in our camper, someone came and rescued us with the fuses we needed. The people here are exceptionally friendly and certainly accommodating! Great place to stay!!

We absolutely love this campground and the wonderful people who run it. Every time we stay, we plan a set time, but then we end up staying longer if possible. It's a getaway from stress but doesn't break the bank, and the kids love it. Fishing, swimming, the playground, or sitting at your own fire pit, relaxing, and enjoying peace, it's so great. The staff are wonderful and kind. Our kids all love staying here, and it's nice to get away without driving too far or spending a fortune.

Beautiful super cute campground. First time staying at a KOA and we loved it! We were only there one night, but sure enjoyed the nice hot showers and waking up to the beautiful canopy of trees. Host were very friendly and helpful. If we find ourselves in this part of the country again we would definitely choose to stay at Fancy Gap. Thank you! 😁

We had such a nice time here. The campground is so clean and the staff is incredible. We stayed in cabin 3 and it was so so nice. The view of the pond and the sitting areas outside made it so homey. The owners go above and beyond to make sure their guests are taken care of. My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed it there and look forward to going back! Thank you guys again for such a nice experience!

Made an overnight pitstop on our way through VA at the Fancy Gap, KOA. Pleasantly surprised with how well maintained and comfortable it was (we had never stayed at a KOA before). Reserved a cabin a few nights before, and on our way down, they called to let us know a storm knocked out the TV in refrigerator in our cabin, but no worries they’d have it replaced by the time we got there and so it was.Adorable cabin perfect for the four of us overnight, they offered to bring firewood to you. Just a super cute overall family friendly location. We will definitely be back for more than just a one night stay !Nearby activities: Cute shops and antique stores within a mile of the KOA.Food & drinks: BBQ stand on site and pizza 🍕 delivery to your cabin/or lot!Noteworthy details: Very cute, clean location and such friendly staff!Kid friendly with a fishing pond, swimming pool, gem mining ⛏️ stand , 🏓 ping pong, and kickball billiard!

My wife and I stayed there for three nights. We were in site 76 and it's definitely one of my favorite sites ever. When we arrived to check in, the staff was all over us (in a very good way). They checked us in, gave us all the info for the campground, led us to our site, and was very careful helping us back in. Can't say enough about how friendly and helpful. Grounds were very nice and clean, as was the bath house/restrooms. Since we only live a couple of hours from them, we will be frequent overnighters there. Oh and, we actually left a day early because of a storm moving in and much to my surprise, they issued me a refund for one nights stay! Definitely above and beyond my expectations. Can't say enough good about this place and the staff!!!

Staff was great. Camp sites are shaded and more private than some KOAs we have been to. Tons to do at the camp but also 20 mins either way to fun things too. No need to pack a bunch of food. The BBQ was good and there are plenty of good places to eat close by. I only wish there had been a little more grass for my pet's feet. Gravel made paws sore. Great time was had by all. Will definitely rebook.

Outstanding KOA, I highly recommend. I was greeted at the entrance, didn't have to get out of my car. Excellent tent site, clean. Electric and water, picnic table. I did not use the fire pit. Shower and restroom were all in one with locking door. Plenty of hooks, shelves. Very clean. I ordered dinner from the camp kitchen/store and they delivered it to me from friendly KOA staff on a golf cart. I got the pulled pork sandwich and smoked macaroni and cheese, ginger ale and a candy bar. Very quiet through the night. I left early in the morning. Exceptional service and facilities.

We stayed in the deluxe cabin, $600 for 4 nights I would have liked a better mattress for the adult beds (I have a bad back and the mattress was very soft and lumpy, just worn out) as well as something more than a worn out 4" pad for the kids bunk. My son had to sleep on the futon in the living area. We also had ants, even after they came and treated the cabin. The cabins are really close to each other, we were woke up every morning as we could hear our neighbors talking outside at 7am, not like yelling, just having a normal conversation. Other than that it was a good stay at the cabins. Our cabin over looked the pond and it was nice to sit on the covered back porch on the rocking chairs and read a book. The pool is nice as well as all the other activities to do there. My sister stayed in the lodge and it was very nice. That was probably one of the nicest double wides I have ever been in.My parents and my other sister have campers so they stayed in those. It was nice to have a central location at the lodge where we could all hangout, plenty of room at the lodge. There were 12 of us total, and we all will be coming back next year. My wife and I will be bringing the air mattress.

The sites were well-maintained, offering a perfect blend of sun and shade. The facilities were clean and modern, with every convenience thought of. What stood out was the tranquility of the surroundings and the symphony of nature sounds at night. Other campers were respectful and friendly.

Campground was great. Our site was shaded and private, although, there was no grass on our site for our dogs. We chose this campground bc it allowed us to bring all 6 of our dogs- loved the fenced in dog park so they had a grassy area to potty. Everything is on a hill. COMPLAINT- We had 2 friends who were going to visit us in the evening around the campfire. They weren't spending the night, using the pool or other amenities. They were going to be charged $10 / person to sit around the camp fire eit us for a few hours. This is unbelievable!

Beautiful pristine KOA! We now know why they won the presidents KOA Award of excellence! So very much appreciate the high standards of the owners! The only thing I would like to let them know that the site we stayed on had a tree stump with Turkey Tail Mushies, and growing right next to it was POISION IVY!! Not good if children or unknowing adults... are staying at that site as it is right as you walk into the spot. Other than that...LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS KOA!! Thank you kindly for doing what ya'll do!

This is on of my favorite locations. Beautiful lots and awesome views. Took my family up there for one last trip before we winterized our camper for the year. Loved that it was colder made for perfect camp fire and hot coco weather. Also the camp ground had firewood for sale and you could get the firewood delivered directly to your campsite which was way easier than carrying it from the koa store.

By far the best KOA we have stayed at yet. We will definitely be going back and enjoyed the campground, the owners, the staff, and the other guests. Plenty of activities to do on site. We never had to leave which made it truly relaxing.Rooms: The Lodge is a great spot for a large family and or friends. There is room to spread out and is well-kept and clean.Food & drinks: David's barbecue/smoker skills are top-notch. The food is incredible!

We were in the area for a friend's Celebration of Life service. We chose the campground because of its location and positive reviews. We were not disappointed. It was wonderful!! The staff was ready for our arrival and met us at the campground entrance. We were checked in within seconds and a staff member in a golf cart led us directly to our campsite. The campground owner smokes beef brisket and pork on-site. We ordered sandwiches and ice at supper time and again, it was delivered quickly. Our samdwiches (with a choice of sauces) were large, warm, and delicious. We were camping in our Ford Transit camper van and our site was across the road from the bathhouse. "Bath House" does not describe what we found. At the bath house building were three large, separate, completely self contained beautiful bathrooms with commode, sink, and tiled shower and floors. They were like you might find in a well appointed modern home. Each spotlessly clean bathroom had a heater and dehumidifier with plenty of hooks for your towels and supplies. There was an attractive wood toned shower stool sitting in the corner near the clothing hooks that could be used as a stool for putting on socks & shoes or in the shower as a safe shower stool. There were outlets for hairdryers and bright lights to make drying hair easy.... Plenty of rolls of toliet tissue and a large lidded trash can.The campground was beautuful with lots of shade trees, blooming rhododendron, and other blooming flowers. The next afternoon, we ordered another bag of ice and two ice cream cones. They were delivered within minutes. When we gave the staff member a tip, he indicated that all tips were put into an account for their Camp Fun Kids Camp. We checked out this morning without a hitch and were on our way home. We noticed that there is a pool and a pond for swimming, a game room, and a camp store. There was a playground and group shelters in the group camping area. We will come again and highly recommend this campground!!
