It's REALLY difficult to find a cat groomer in the DC area, so can't complain too much. The groomer was very personable & our cat didn't seem traumatized. They took over 2 HOURS longer than quoted, which was a bit disturbing...The cut wasn't 5☆, but again, it's hard to find ANY cat groomer, here. So, you get what you get. They DO need to work on cleaning up after EACH pet, though! It was chaotic and borderline gross.

Pretty busy PetSmart shop.Pros:1. Discounts, 50% of price on lots of stuff and animals;2. Large selection of fish, bettas, frequent deliveries, and updates.3. Friendly staff;4. Dog training;5. Pet hospital on site.Cons:1. Customer service might be improved by learning about animals and fish they are selling. Unfortunately, only the manager could answer my questions on fish, shrimp, and aquarium.2. Inability to use a discount without a barcode.Loved the TagWorks laser machine for the engraved name of my pet and availability.

The grooming services offered at this PetSmart location were fantastic. The stylist Luis was fantastic. Our yorkie puppy is very sassy and a drama king, but Luis handled him very well and got him to let him cut his face fur, which was a surprise to us. The employees here are all very friendly and kind. Will definitely come back.

The store has pretty much anything you’ll need for your pets. The only issue is the prices are usually more than Amazon and sometimes other retail stores. But location and convenience can outweigh that at times. Friendly staff and plenty of parking as well.

This review is for Fermin, who took a grooming appointment for my senior cat on short notice. She had severe matted fur on both sides and I was concerned because she can get feisty and I was worried she’d end up looking bad/naked. I needn’t have been. Fermin did an absolutely fantastic job. Bo Peep is happy and looking better than ever. Highly recommended—you can trust them to take care of your cat.

Terrible customer service. No communication skills. No time expectations. I moved from the other side of the country and I have never seen anything like this The grooming area is filthy and they can’t keep up with the cleaning. Brought my 2 cats which I scheduled 3 weeks in advance for the same time as the calendar allowed. Took them 4 hours to do both and they kept inserting other pets during my slot. The groomer took a “quick” break and also no communication about how long he would take. Spoke with the manager and the manager was as useless. No apologies. I will never bring my pets here again.

Vicky might be my new best friend!! So helpful with my little Luke and had the best suggestions. We went in without a receipt to exchange a harness, she didn't ask any questions and showed me the best option that worked awesome!! I used to go to the petsmart every week for my pets or at banfield. I went 2 days ago to find a sweet canary bird neglected in its care there. I am a bird owner myself and my children and I all noticed right away the nails on one canary held there. They were incredibly long, and even one or two of them were curling in a different direction because it was soooo long and the bird couldnt hold onto the branch. The bird also had trouble scratching itself as well and either couldnt care for itself or could really harm itself with nails in the kind of condition. This store should be ashamed of itself... this is a form of animal cruelty. I now feel sorry for all of the pets there. No bird, or any other animal there should be suffering like this! The employee I informed of the situation actually seemed to be shocked, like she didnt know!? And then she brought another employee there to show him and he also seemed to have no clue about it. Do you not see how long they are!?! Do you even realize it takes months and months for them to get that long!?! This was not in a matter of a few weeks, this is long term basic care 101!!

I had to buy a really really large dog cage. The staff were very helpful getting it in my car. It wasnt easy. We didn't think it would fit but he spent 10 minutes with me figuring it out.

Hey Guys, I was in the store on 09/06 and had the worst customer interaction with an employee. This guy, probably in his mid 40's, hated me and my wife for no reason whatsoever. Any discussion about a turtle(coz that's what we were interested in) was in vain. They were trying to sell us a $280 Aquarium first, even though we just wanted to get the turtle because we had plans to get the aquarium from a different place at $60 with a 20L size which was sufficient for the turtle.I would recommend to avoid any interaction with the person if you aren't of his skin color coz he seemed racist.

Got our little Wheaten groomed by My'Quisa Angeon B, and it was the best choice we could have made! He came back fluffy, clean, and happy as a clam! My only note would be: make sure you let your little one poo beforehand-- he was there for about 5 hours due to backlog, and the poor fellow pooped in the store when I got him! Next time, I'll feed him earlier so that I can let him poo beforehand

This is the nearest pet store to where I live, and it is generally kept clean, considering they welcome leashed pets in the store. They have a grooming place inside, several small pets for sale, e.g., guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, gerbils, chinchillas, lizards, turtles, salamanders, snakes, fish, etc., and an adoption center. However, the checkout lines are notoriously slow, the parking lot for the shopping center is dated and poorly laid out, and the location (7 corners - named so for the number of corners to this intersection from hell) has to be one of the most excruciating road junctions to pass through in the nation.

Store is clean and the staff is nice. They have a little area for cat adoption through Last Chance Animal Rescue. The area is very small and I was hoping for a room in which we could meet a potential adoptee with no distractions. That said, I'm really happy that they partner with a local rescue group to provide a place for adoption. I was given as much time as needed to meet the available adoptees and the cats looked healthy and well cared for.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR DOG GROOMING HERE! ZERO STARS. I did it twice thinking maybe it was a one time bad experience, but no. They are just horrible workers with bad service. I first took both my dogs here and they completely manhandled one dog (he's a boxer mix with the most timid of hearts) and once I saw that, I knew I was never going to take him there again. If they don't know how to handle bigger dogs, they shouldn't take them in. My second dog is much smaller, only weighing 20 lbs and is a cockapoo. OVER 5 HOURS THEY TOOK. I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought because they were busy, it may not take as long the next time. I was so wrong. It took over 5 hours again before I went in and asked for the status of my dog. They brought her out, and THEY HADNT EVEN STARTED CUTTING HER HAIR YET. They groomer said "15 more minutes" then started rush shaving my dog with some clippers and I cannot tell you how dangerous that is!! She started crying pretty bad at that point and after another 10 minutes I just told them to give her to me because it was unacceptable for her to be there over 5 hours and them to JUST START working on her and rushing the process into a bad haircut and then to charge me ridiculous prices. This is how they operate and its unacceptable and dangerous and animal abuse

I had to walk out on the bad customer service!! Kevin who was at the register was just really like a piece of boiled chicken breast with no seasoning!! Poor communication and lack of understanding is bad for business. I'll take the almost $100 worth of items to another store. Really not okay! I had my toddler with me who should have gotten the items she picked out but the bad service is a no for this mom!

We have gone to PetSmart for dog grooming for three years now and have been happy up until this last time. The whole experience started with an unprofessional voicemail from one of the groomers, Justin, saying that the time we chose for the appointment " doesn't really work for him" requesting that we come in earlier instead. When we dropped him off, they said that last time, he was very difficult to work with around the face and feet. They completely shaved our long hair dog and said that there were no notes on how he was supposed to be groomed. I asked how they knew he was bad around the face and feet with no notes and they back tracked and said there were notes from prior grooming appointments, and that it said to cut his body short. When asked about how this was possible because this was completely different then past grooming appointments, the manager argued with me, was short, and very unprofessional. I asked if she could send over the notes so I could see them and she said she was not able to do that. They did offer a refund but only because we were not happy. They did not sympathize or admit any wrong doing/negligence on their end. Our long hair dog now has no hair and will take VERY long to grow out. He is now super itchy and uncomfortable. Do not go here to get your dog groomed.

I went to PetSmart in Falls Church. Wade was supper rude. He works in the fish area. He is very disrespectful, not friendly and he gave a stone face and borderline racist. I will not come to this store period.
