This Doctors & Staff go over and be on the animals they take care off. They put the owners or parents in me and my wife's case to put at ease. The bill is very reasonable and will be helpful if need in some cases I've heard. Just an amazing Clinic. I have been a take my pets to them for well over twenty year's.

We took our newly adopted cat to Falls Church Animal Hospital today for a wellness exam and routine tests. The staff were all fantastic - knowledgeable, friendly, and thorough in their check-up! We will definitely be making this our routine vet’s office.

When I moved to the area 10 years ago, FCAH was highly recommended by a close friend, and I could not have been more satisfied with the level of care and compassion given to my aging and ill little cat right up until the day she passed. A year later, I adopted another kitty and was especially happy to see Naomi and Dr. Yam again at the hospital. They are examples of the best you could hope for in the care of your four-legged family members, and I am so grateful for their support.

I want to belatedly thank FCAH for taking excellent care of my cat. I brought him in several weeks ago after he had largely stopped eating and was acting lethargically (I didn't have an appointment, but the receptionist was able to get me in the day I called). The shift vet was very understanding and prescribed some appetite stimulants which seemed to work. Dr. Brennan also followed up several days later with the results of bloodwork and urinalysis. The result is my cat is just about fully recovered and is eating & acting normally. Thanks so much to FCAH for taking such good care of my pet!

Had a great visit for my cat recently. The staff here has always been amazing there. We have been going there for years. The vet (someone sorta new to me) was really nice, she remembered my other cat who was in recently for her annual. Vet tech Sean was really great with my antsy Mia. Mia seemed to like him, he kept her calm when getting her shots. I got suggestions for her care (teeth cleaning, arthritis in her legs, etc) and was able to get her scripts for her inhalers that she needs for her bronchitis.

My dog has never been there but had an accident and was seen at an emergency vet. We had an appointment at his usual veterinary office but they were unable to see him for another week. Unfortunately, he couldn’t wait that long to have his bandage changed so we called this office for a bandage change. The receptionist was awful. We explained the situation and instead of offering an appointment she told us that we must not have a vet for our dog since we are calling here for an appointment and we should just go back to the emergency vet. What kind of response is that? I’ve taken my cats and dogs here previously but I won’t ever again.

I had the most wonderful experience at Falls Church Animal Hospital today. I wasn’t familiar with vets in the area, so I google searched vets which high ratings and who also operated near my house. The animal hospital wasn’t far away so I decided to schedule my puppy’s first appointment there. And I was not disappointed. The hospital treats illnesses very seriously so they ensured that people wore masks which I appreciated. The staff was super friendly: Sean took great care of my puppy when he weighed him and took him back for his shots. Dr. Stark was friendly as well. She answered all my questions and concerns about my dog’s health and potential vaccinations that he would need. Plus, the appointment didn’t take that long which was a relief. I highly recommend Falls Church Animal Hospital!

I've visited this place three times in the past 2 years, never had a great experience. Some of the handlers are more rough than they need to be, I always feel that the vet is trying to sell me dog food or a different medicine.Last week for my dog's annual checkup I'm not even sure if she got the vaccinations they said she was due for. Usually they administer the vaccines while I help hold and soothe the dog. This time however they took her to the back for a blood test and brought her back to the exam room after about 10 minutes, then left me and my dog in the exam room. I waited, expecting the vet to return, for 30 minutes before going out to the lobby and asking if everything was finished. They asked me to wait in the lobby for a bit, charged me $300+, and said she was all set after removing the bandage from the blood test in the lobby. The whole scenario was confusing for me, and they forgot to give me the tick and heartworm medicine I had paid for. Also, their automated marketing campaigns are pretty annoying.

Excellent services at this location. Very lucky to have had this place when my dog was ill during the holidays and everything else was closed. The staff were empathetic, loving and caring and communicated with us throughout the entire time. Everyone seemed to love what they do and care about all the animals, despite the stress.

We have been going to FC animal hospital for over 10 years and I have loved the vets etc. however over the last 10 months if I need a sick visit I can’t get one even if I call the minute they open in the morning. They say they have same day appts if you call immediately when they open but that’s not true. A few recent examples, a few weeks ago One of our dogs had diarrhea for 3 days and I called for two days in a row asking for a same day appt and was told they had none bc they only had 2 vets on call. I had a poo sample and asked if I could just drop it off. They said no drops offs of samples are allowed. However a few weeks before one of our cats had blood in their stool and they let me drop off a sample bc they had no sick visits. They did call and tell me the sample was normal. I asked if he needed further evaluation bc it was the second time I had seen blood. They said that they would ask the vet and call me back but they never did. Back to the dog… So I had to take her to the emergency vet to simply give them a poo sample. I got antibiotics and a dewormer and of course the bill was way over 600 dollars since it was an emergency vet. Last summer we were going to the beach and I called the minute they opened to get our other dog in and guess what no visits. Had to take him to an emergency vet for an ear infection which cost over 1,000 dollars. Today I called the minute they opened and asked for a same day sick visit for our cat who we suspected had a UTI due to pretty litter turning dark blue. I was told they had no sick visits for Friday or sat. They once again said take her to an emergency clinic. As suspected it was a uti and it cost us over 1, 300 dollars for a simple uti because of course it is an emergency vet. It makes me sad to leave this practice but I need to find a vet that has same day sick non emergency appts or at least within a day or 2 so I don’t have to keep going to emergency vets that cost me 1,000x of dollars for sick non emergency problems. The practice is way to busy and is really only good for wellness checks that you schedule months in advance. Moving to caring hands vet that has multiple clinics so even if I can’t get a same day sick non emergency visit at merrifield then they can send me to Clarendon or another one. I have no problem going to an emergency vet after hours which I had to do once but it is absurd to have to be told by your regular vet for a non emergency sick visit to go to an emergency vet and spend 1,000x for an ear infection, uti, stomach bug etc. advice to fcah if you don’t have enough vets then cut down on patients and take care of your long term loyal patients. I was hoping it was just a one off but it is now over 4x and I am out over 1,000x of dollars for emergency vet clinic visits for non emergency sick visits during normal working hours. Additionally because my pets issues are not emergencies we are not prioritized and need to wait (which makes perfect sense) behind all the true emergencies so these visits also take hours as vets tend to real emergencies.

The staff and vets here have been taking care of our dog for over 10 years and always do a great job. She's very sensitive and weighs about 4 pounds but they are careful with her and have skilled employees to work around her needs (and tiny veins).Every vet she has seen has been very patient and does a great job explaining their findings and treatment plans. Dr. Yam and Dr. Harrington are amazing professionals, and Naomi at the front desk does an excellent job keeping things going smoothly. Not to mention the great vet techs who give our dog lots of cuddles whenever she has a long stay! Thanks for all that you do, FCAH!

This place has great veterinarians however is always booked. I tried to schedule an appointment to get a health certificate for international travel a little over one month prior to travel and they were already booked two weeks in advance, I only needed a Vet note saying my cat was approved to travel for the airline, but they need to do all the paperwork with one month in advance. I am not sure if I’ll be a regular moving forward

I have been taking my pets (2 cats and 2 dogs) to Falls Church Animal Hospital since 1998. All the vets and techs are first rate - friendly, competent, and caring. The front desk staff is amazing. Everyone is so concerned and tender with my senior dogs. I appreciate the efficiency of the office procedures. Thanks for everything!

I'd like everyone and there loving pets, please be advised Dr,Mingler ,nice enough but truly didn't care or exam properly to an aging dog, perhaps before wasting your time and money, rather have called Doogie Houser, go back to school kid aim sure Binden will pay your student loans, disgusting

Was treated rudely while dropping off a stool sample and then charged for it despite being on a doggy wellness plan that covers the exam. Something has changed here in the past few months for the worse.

Highly recommend Dr Yam- she is a true professional. The asistant girls were amazing! My both rescues are very anxious, high maintenance, require a lot of attention and patience! Every visit requires short anesthesia to complete the check ups. The nail trimming was very thoughtful gesture while my pup had other procedures done in meantime!

Our 8 week old Golden Retriever was home for just a couple of days when he developed a rash and was itching, scratching, chewing on himself. We knew we needed to have him seen right away. I called more than a dozen vet facilities to have him seen and everyone was booked out for several weeks. The kind staff at Falls Church Animal Hospital offered to see him the next day for his skin condition as well as provide his first exam and next round of vaccinations. We were sent home with clear instructions and proper medications and are pleased to say that he was symptom free a few days later. The professionalism of the entire staff was over the top. The FCAH has earned our continued business and trust to treat our boy Winston.

I am beyond Grateful to finally find a wonderful and caring place that takes care of my babies!!!! What a pleasant first time experience. We did not wait long, and my cat felt so relaxed. She usually freaks out but not that day. The Vet really spent time addressing my cat weight problem. She was so personable and compassionate as were her support team. We had such a positive experience that I booked another appointment for my other cat!!! They didn't push anything on me, and it was an affordable visit. THANK YOU FALLS CHURCH ANIMAL!!!!!!!

I took my dog to Falls Church Animal Hospital two times this year for two separate procedures. For both of these, the Veterinarians and the Attendants were thorough, compassionate, and they treated the problems effectively.

They were very nice. Our appointment was a tiny bit after set time and I think they forgot to trim the nails. It is pricey . My rescue responded well & we need to go back. No masks or ventilation- nor air filtration system. Wear your own and step out when you need to. Front desk is friendly kind and sympathetic. We will be back🐾🐶💕Thank you Dr. Yaz

My family has used this animal hospital for over 25 years. Lately when I call to make an appointment, I'm told to call the next day at 7:30 am to make an appointment instead of making an appointment during the call. This also means that I won't be able to know when the appointment will be and it can be difficult to plan around. The doctors and vet techs are very nice and good at what they do. But the office is run terribly.I've waited between 45 min to 2.5 hrs for appointments when I had to drop my cat off during covid. Meanwhile the examination doesn't take that long. It's literally just me waiting to get my cat back. There's really bad follow-up to issues that are emailed or called about. And ordinarily this might not be a big deal but it affects the health of your animals. For example, we're having a really hard time getting pain medication for a cat with kidney failure. The office has ignored follow up emails about her pain level and since her main vet is out, other vets have ignored this case.

This place is very, very expensive. Which is fine, if the care is good. But it's not. I brought my cats in, one for diarrhea and the other for allergies--I wasn't allowed to come in with them so I had to communicate over the phone. The entire conversation felt extremely rushed, and I wasn't clear on what treatments were being provided, nor did I feel like I was listened to. They threw a whole litany of products and services at me for $700. They seemed unnecessary to me--I thought my one cat just needed some diagnostics to see what caused the diarrhea and the other one some allergy meds. In the end, I parsed through some of the offers, but still ended up with a $400+ bill, figuring the vet knew what was right.Looking back, it seemed like the whole object was just to upsell me on as many things as fast as possible. Again, if the results were good, that would be fine, but my one cat's diarrhea has gotten worse (I had to wipe by far his most explosive case of it off the wall near my litter box) and the other's skin has become extremely irritated and red under his ears after applying what they prescribed (pictures attached). The service just isn't worth what they're charging; you pay 4x as much for half the quality.

My feedbackPrice - $$$$, but to be fair, it's in line with the area. If that's an issue for you, you might wanna drive a few extra miles twd Reston so that its cheaper.Quality of Svc - Really Good. I brought my dog there a few times, and I always loved the service I got, from the regular visits to the dental cleaning. Absolutely no complain there, just compliments.Reception/Admin - Not the best. It is really hard to schedule a visit there, it's often that they don't pick up the phone and there are a couple receptionists which are a bit rude (not all, I spoke to some that were very nice too). My recommendation is for management to (i) better train their receptionists, (ii) consider hiring one extra person so that you don't miss on customer calls and (iii) consider expanding your vet staff too so that you don't miss customers due to the lack of availability. In my case, I ended up moving to a diff vet only and exclusively due to availability.

Such a great vet! My dog is quite difficult but they were very accommodating to his special needs and made him as comfortable as possible. It feels like a place where they really care about your animal and aren’t just taking your money. Excited to go back soon and so thankful to have found them!

Over the years that we have been with this animal hospital, we have never once been able to get a sick appointment. They sign you up for the annual plan which guarantees sick visits, but if your dog is ever actually sick they never have appointments. For weeks we were told to call every morning at 7:30, and by 7:31, there are never appointments left. They never recommended us to book an appointment on the calendar, just said keep calling back every morning. My dog lost over over 20% of her bodyweight in a month trying to get an appointment, then we finally took her to an emergency vet where she was diagnosed and treated the very same day for a fraction of the cost. You should save your time, money, and dog's health and NEVER choose this vet.

We've been going to FCAH for like, ever. There has yet to be a doctor or technician or desk staff member we haven't loved. It's obvious to see they love their work and pass that love onto us and our pets. 'Couldn't recommend them more.

All staff have been exceptionally friendly over the last 3 years that we have been taking our golden retriever to Falls Church Animal Hospital. Our vet has been realistic with us as our dog ages and has never tried to scare us into making any decisions. She is a very good listener and addresses every one of our concerns. The waiting room is always clean, as are the examination rooms.

We were told that the first visit for our animals would be free, instead of new clients are free. When we got there, they said that the receptionist was new and insisted that we had to pay the full price - like that was our fault. On top of that, the doctor never finished the exam of our pets. They failed to provide a rabies certificate/tag, and also would not provide the dosing for some medicines, or measure a lump on my dog like the doctor said he would do. So what are they doing charging $88/dog for if they cannot meet their end?On a separate occasion, my service dog had to be euthanized and they put the catheter in wrong, hurting the dog more, and having to perform the procedure twice. They never even apologized. When comparing prices to other vets in the area, even the simplest of vaccines and pet visit fees are 3x the cost. There are much better places to go that don’t gouge their prices for no good reason.
