A shoutout for the curbside service. We were going to a birthday party, but my kid fell asleep in the car. I called the store. They helped pick the toy, gift wrapped it, and brought it to my car. All done within 10 minutes. We also visit frequently when my kid is awake to pick up birthday presents. The store has great toy selections covering a wide age range.

Don't be fooled by the name of this toy shop - Doodlehopper 4 Kids - it's not just for kids! As an adult, I still love shopping here for all of the fun and creative items they offer. In fact, visiting this shop brings me back to my carefree childhood days. One of the things that makes Doodlehopper 4 Kids so special is their fantastic selection of plush toys. From classic teddy bears to trendy unicorns and everything in between, they have something for everyone. And while the kids will definitely love these toys, I have to admit that I can't resist picking up a new plush friend for myself whenever I visit. But it's not just plush toys that make this shop so great. They also have a wide variety of unique and creative gift ideas, including board games, craft kits, and educational toys. Whether you're shopping for a child or an adult, you're sure to find something fun and exciting here.Overall, I would highly recommend Doodlehopper 4 Kids to anyone looking for a fun and nostalgic shopping experience. Don't let the name fool you - this shop has something for everyone, regardless of age. So go ahead and let your inner child run wild - you won't regret it!

Great place for unusual and creative toys for kids. Very friendly and helpful, without being pushy.

Great mom and pop toy store. Prices are a little higher then other big box stores. Which I don't mind because I'm supporting a local business rather then a chain. If shopping for birthday presents they will wrap them for you at no extra chargeThe staff is very friendly inhave never had a bad experience in the store. They also have a great return policy as long as it's unopened my children have gotten gifts from there and we were able to exchange for something elese

So much stuff to look at! They have toys and books. Feels almost boutique-like because of the types of toys; it's not just the stuff you'll find at Target. I brought my 5 year old and her brain exploded. Full range of prices. Great section of baby toys, the best I've seen anywhere. Both wooden and plastic toys. Stuffies, crinkle tag books, clothes, Montessori-type stuff. Board games, Lego, crafts, Squishies, STEM, the list goes on and on. Definitely worth a visit.

Genuinely love this store so much and am so happy that it is a part of our community! They have so many unique items and are constantly rotating stock. I first ran into them when looking for a gift for my 11-year-old nephew, who is virtually impossible to shop for. I managed to find a Rubiks cube he had never even heard of before, as well as a lot of really special small items for him and his siblings. It is now my regular place for kids gifts, puzzles, family-friendly board games, and especially Squishmallows! The employees here have so much patience and are so enthusiastic about this shop and the folks that come through.

This is the only toy story we go to. It is large, but not so much that you would get lost. And it has an incredible variety which books is on creativity and pretend play, as opposed to low play value toys and collectibles. Most of my children's most beloved and well used toys were purchased here. The gift wrapping service is great, the stuffed animal section has only the best quality and an incredible variety. And everything feels like you are hugging a cloud! The arts and crafts section could rival Michaels. Love it. We come here on our falls Church day trips. It is near the green, a traditional ice cream shop, and a coffee shop. The kids love walking in Old Town, and when they see the toy store... they run!

What a great small business! Love this toy store. We used to shop at the one in Springfield before they closed. Drove over here to falls church to get some Christmas toys for my grandson. What a great selection of quality toys for small people! Very friendly and helpful staff as well. There is something new everywhere you look! Look up on the top shelves surrounding the store too! They pack a lot of great things in a small space!

This toy store sells many of the Da Bom Bath, a brand of the bath bombs. These are not appropriate for any children. They caused the skin to be extremely red and painful, the entire legs and arms became red and horrible. I am not the only person that has that problem, there is another dad who reported this back in 2018. But even after that, nobody take any actions to discontinue the product.

It’s an ok store if you have kids but not so great for adult collectors. I’ll still find something interesting there on occasion which keeps me coming in from time to time but mostly it’s kinda mid, with a Unique inventory organization style that kinda makes sense but is also Kinda confusing. Whereas most toy stores, even small ones, organize toys by play pattern, e.g.: action figures with action figures, Solid plastic animals all together, Barbies with other Dolls etc. but here, while there’s some Semblance of separation by play pattern with Lego being mostly separate from plush and Infant toys, it seems to be mostly organized into far more vague sections based on theme or like what it is, with all things Dinosaur related in one place (be it plastic dinosaurs, Jurassic World toys, Fossil digging sets, plush sand box toys Etc) all the Space and Science stuff in another, all the Star Wars Stuff clustered together in a corner of the lego wall. like I said it makes some sense when you think about it, but it’s definitely chaotic, confusing and Antithetical to how most kids and parents shop. I mean it makes sense if you come in looking for Dinosaurs, but It’s baffling if you’re looking for Outdoor toys.

My wife and son have visited this store several times. There are always several toys pulled off the shelf my by son which makes only buying one a challenge.Prices are higher than online stores but well worth it to see how happy my kid I walking out of the store with his new toy.We recommend this retailer for anyone that wants to see the joy of a kid in a toy store.

My daughter loves this place. They have the friendliest staff, wall-to-wall toys, and it's always amazed me how well-organized they are able to keep the store, considering the amount of merchandise packed into such a small space. I would think kids would always be wrecking the place. Maybe this speaks to the respect the community has for this little gem of a business. My daughter and I always go in just to browse all the latest stuff, and I never fail to spoil her by succumbing to the urge to put a smile on her face and show my support for one of my favorite local businesses. It's an absolute must on your list of shopping stops in Falls Church. They even have a restroom, and a parking lot is located behind the store.

This is a great local toy store with great variety. Younger kids in one store next door and older in this one. Everything is nicely organized so you don't feel too overwhelmed by too much on the shelf. Staff is super nice and their points rewards card is definitely worth it.

I love this store. There aren’t many locally owned independent toy stores these days. They have everything and more. My daughter and I go here to pick things out for her friends birthdays because I know they have such cool stuff. I love the quality of the toys they carry and the variety is wonderful.

I love visiting this store, whether to browse or buy gifts for my grandchildren. It keeps me in touch with my inner child! Staff are friendly and helpful. It's a neighborhood store so they remember repeat customers. The stock is excellent ( kudos to the buyer!) and attractively displayed. Doodlehopper is an iconic asset to Falls Church.

Great local toy store with a little bit of everything. The store is packed to the gills but it's still organized so you can find a great gift for your kid or someone else's. They carry things that aren't very expensive so you can make up unique loot bags for a birthday party giveaway; and they also have Staples like Playmobil, Lego, craft kids .... And the staff are always friendly and helpful.

The standard for our family in toy stores. A wonderfully curated collection of toys, games, and all the in between. Has remained contemporary without becoming mainstream, which we think is a rare thing. They also gift wrap purchases, which makes it the perfect place to stop for children's birthday parties.

A very special place for toys. No war games, or video games. This is the place to find games that can help learning and are good for kids. But don't worry, plenty of just plain fun stuff too. They have science kits, legos, Melissa and Doug, that brand where it's all made of recycled materials, etc. We get all our friend's kids gifts there. It's a real one stop shop. You'll leave there happy, and they gift wrap for free.

This is honestly the best toy store I have been to. There are hundreds of different types of games, toys, stuffed animals, science kits, legos, dolls, fidgety toys, etc.. Very well organized and moderately inexpensive. Great place to get ideas for gifts and I will definitely buy from here instead of online for certain items.

This is my favorite toy store in NoVA. The prices are fairly reasonable. You might pay an extra 10% over an online retailer. But the selection of toys, games, and books is extensive. They have everything from high end, expensive toys to cheap party favors and throw away toys. It's the best place to find a unique gift for a special occasion.

Overall, I LOVE this store! If you love cute, unique, kitschy toys, you'll find them here.....I've never seen so many toys I've never heard of that I never knew I needed.....and I'm 49 years old!! They also have the old standbys - Legos, Playmobile, puzzles, stuffed animals, so you won't be disappointed! For their selection and wonderful staff, I'd give them 5 stars, but that's not enough to make up for the few MAJOR drawbacks to this location:Parking: there's a lot of it, but the store is 100% INACCESSIBLE if you can't navigate stairs. No ramps anywhere, plus a step up into the back door of the shop and only non-handicapped street parking (on a VERY busy road) in front. This is an ADA nightmare, and if you have a child who has mobility issues or is wheelchair bound, you will have difficulty gaining access to the store.Size: They recently (well, within the last 2 years) reduced their store size, making it VERY tight to navigate. Again, for people who are mobility impaired or on crutches or wheelchair bound, it is a logistical PITA. They have so much to see, and a lot less space to see it all in.....what they lost was maneuverability for their customers. For me, being mobility impaired, both of these things are an issue....and as much as I love the store and the people who work there, it may be what causes me to stop shopping there. They used to have a second location much closer to my home, but that closed recently....it was much more accessible, much larger, and I wish they'd closed this location in favor of the Springfield one.

A large selection! There are many treasures in here. The prices are reasonable and selection is pretty vast. There are items in their supply that are often difficult to find at other stores. A good choicefor quality options. The store arrangement makes sense. Parking available behind the store. I will return to it to purchase morefor my niece

They have a great selection of toys and games and the staff are friendly and helpful. In a pinch we were able to get a wrapped birthday gift in about 10 minutes. It's a little more expensive but still a better value.

I love this place and happy that they finally introduced a program for frequent buyers! You find everything you’re looking for, they also wrap the presents - so you’re always prepared for birthdays. So much better than buying things online (supports the local economy and doesn’t create unnecessary packaging waste!).

Cute store! Stopped in to buy my 2yo niece a gift (which she loved!). Didn't have time to truly explore, so I'll definitely be back to support a local business!
