Aquatic paws is amazing. I truly appreciated Lisa and her team for the care they gave for my senior dog. He had an amazing time swimming. Everyone was so accommodating and helpful. If I could give ten stars I would.

Such a great experience! From the moment I reached out through leaving the appointment we were very happy working with this team. We brought our 10 year old and 2 year old great danes and they had a blast. Thank you, we'll be back!

We love Aquatic Paws for our Golden Retriever. They love dogs and have a great poolside manner. Thankful that they exist (and carry raw bones)!

Aquatic Paws is truly a blessing. I took my dog here after she was diagnosed with degenerative myelopathy to help her keep her leg strength. The staff was always so kind and attentive, and really went above and beyond to help her. The pricing is more affordable than the options for water therapy in DC, and in my opinion, well worth the drive.

Our fur toddler (10yrs old), Geo has severely arthritic hind knees and muscle atrophy. We noticed a significant difference in his walks after just 3 weeks on the treadmill. Not only is he stronger and moving better, he loves going to his appointments at Aquatic Paws! Today he went in the pool for the first time. I can’t say enough great things about how much going to Aquatic Paws once a week has and continues to help our Geo.

The best place to rehabilitate your puppy. Chaya, my little pup, had to go to surgery to completely fix her back leg that was broken when i adopted her. And even with that procedure there was a risk she wouldn’t have the leg back 100%. Since she had been restrained for many months i don’t really wanted to keep restraining her after the surgery so i tried to go tho therapy. It worked like a charm and she is now a happy, jumpy, and playful little dog!

I've been here twice. My first experience wasn't quite so good but my second experience was great. The first time the instructor didn't seem to have much of a plan or direction for the session. She didn't put up any barrier to keep my dog from running out of the pool area, and she just kinda pulled my dog into the water to swim. But the second instructor, Mallory, was fantastic! She put up a barrier to keep my dog from getting out of the pool area. And had clearly laid out steps for how to help get my dog comfortable with the water. By the end my dog was happily playing fetch in the water! I'm so surprised. If you go here I highly recommend Mallory. (Attached is a video of my dog with Mallory.

Highly recommend to all the dogs mom & dad out there. My boy has been attending sessions here for a little over a month now and I’ve seen a lot of improvement on his leg. The staff and Lisa are amazing and friendly. Facility is always kept cleaned. Booking online is super simple! I love it.

My dog had a muscle pull and after months of reinjuries even with physical therapy and many vet visits he kept limping. I took him to aquatic paws and his injury finally healed. he’s back to playing like he use to something I wasn’t sure I would see. Aquatic paws is a life saver and makes hydrotherapy accessible unlike anywhere. The owners are amazing and care so much for the dogs they help. Definitely recommend even for healthy dogs.

We brought our 6 month old lab puppy to his first pool session tonight. The staff was so friendly and our instructor did such a great job of making Henry comfortable. Henry was a little scared at the beginning of the session but by the end, he was launching into the pool to get tennis balls! We will definitely be back!

Really great access to wonderful water exercise for your dog. Our pup Bailey is a year and a half out from a major back injury and surgery and the regular water treadmill appointments are still great for her. We may try the pool soon too as this looks like great exercise and fun too. Really friendly and helpful staff as well

Water "aerobics" has kept my old dog going strong long after we thought he was on his last legs. These people know what they're doing and both locations (Falls Church and Chantilly) are clean and fantastic.

Aquatic Paws feels like family to me and my 16 year old 'puppy'. Lisa's therapeutic approach, the kindness and gentleness and professionalism of the staff...all have been instrumental in helping my senior dog live his best life and regain strength in his legs. Pricing is incredibly affordable, which makes it possible for me to get Blackjack in weekly for therapy- and if I'm honest, I probably get as much out of his sessions as he does. Lisa is extremely knowledgeable, and knows the best people to refer he clients to for special needs (like helping me find a groomer for my senior dog). She's also really funny:)It's a great place and you can feel that when you walk in the door.

We came here bc my dog is 16.5 years old and has arthritis. At first he was frightened of the water and of being somewhere that smelled like a vet, but now he's getting more used to it (I use tiny pieces of chicken to encourage him). I'm not sure if it's actually helping, but he doesn't seem to be declining as quickly as he was. The employees are great too! My dog especially loves Maria!

I cannot speak highly enough about Aquatic Paws! I’ve been bringing my dog here for well over a year now and honestly I’m not sure she would have made it this long if it weren’t for this place. My dog has hip dysplasia and the underwater treadmill relieves her joints of stress and allows her to stretch and move more freely. Lisa and Bill are the most amazing people! You can tell they love their profession; it shines through in everything they do. Helping animals is without a doubt their life’s calling. The staff they have hired are stellar as well; they’re warm and welcoming and eager to help. My dog is insanely timid but much to my surprise she feels at ease around the staff here. Since reopening after the Covid pandemic began, they have done their absolute best to keep everybody safe and healthy. They have extended appointment windows to allow more time to sanitize the facilities. They’ve staggered appointment times to ensure nobody has to cross paths coming in or out of the building. And of course, everybody wears their masks. Do your dog a favor and bring them here, please! Old or young, injured or healthy, there’s something here for everybody.

My dog Roxy loves this place. She loves the water treadmill, even though we started off with the pool initially. We have been coming for few months and between her PT sessions and her water treadmill sessions, she has been doing very well. All the employees and the owners are really wonderful people who truly care for your pup. 5+ stars

I'm not really sure what we would've done if we hadn't found Aquatic Paws.To try to make a long story short, our Saint Bernard has had arthritis for some time now that we've managed with pain medication. In December, he fell down several of our basement stairs. He did recover to a point where he didn't seem overtly painful, but it quickly became apparent that with his muscle atrophy (secondary to arthritis), he was having a really hard time bouncing back from this. He was falling down while walking, couldn't take more than a few steps without needing to sit, had a hard time posturing to urinate, and he frequently needed help to get from sitting or laying to a standing position. I started looking into methods to help rebuild muscle in his rear legs, and the underwater treadmill seemed like our last option. (We tried to get him into swimming years ago, but he wasn't having it and we had a bad experience at the facility where we attempted it)Lisa had confident answers to all of my questions on the phone prior to our first session, and when we arrived it was just as smooth. Our typically cautious, not-always-so-stranger-friendly dog warmed up fast. His first session was more about getting him acclimated, but even after that I could see small changes. After the second I was seeing major progress already. With each session, he's able to go a little longer on the treadmill and I can tell he's building strength. He's getting around better at home and seems more like himself again. The staff at Aquatic paws is great with our boy, and Lisa gets into the tank with him each time. Initially, it was to help him. Now, he just wants her there for moral support, and she gladly hops in.Thank you all for being so wonderful! If it wasn't for you, I'm not sure that we'd be wishing our big guy a Happy 9th Birthday next month. You all have made all the difference in the world.

We took our pitbull terrier for a pool session at this center. The staff is clearly very experienced, know how to put your pet at ease, read animal body language and respond appropriately. Couldn't ask for a better experience for our dog. Highly recommend this center.

We started going to Aquatic Paws because of my dog's knee injury. She's normally very scared of new places and people but instantly fell in love with the Lisa and her husband. She had to be chased a bit the first time, to get the life vest on, but she trusted being in the staff's arms and being in the pool with them. During her second visit she had no hesitations whatsoever and got right into the swing of things! We look forward to our next visit!

Lisa was wonderful to work with, and always a pleasure to chat with while my pup did her treadmill exercise! Reasonably priced, too. We would still be going weekly if we hadn't relocated. Thanks for helping my baby get stronger and recover from knee surgery!

This place is so awesome. My husband and I brought our Frenchies to Aquatic Paws for swimming, walking on the treadmill (for our older dog), and a doggie massage. Every service was great and affordable. The owners are so kind and genuinely care about helping your dog. We will be back!

Great spot for water exercise with the pups! They were very patient with our dogs. Website is a little hard to navigate, but they are super responsive to calls and e-mails

This is a great place to get your dogs to learn how to swim; or just get acquainted with the water, which is why we are going. There is an above ground "pool" that the dogs can go into via stairs and swim around with the instructor. Our dogs need to get coaxed in -- one is a puppy and just needs to learn, the other is conquering her fear -- and they do great with both. It is also just a generally great outlet for their energy. They also have a hydro-therapy treadmill for dogs and they seem to have a lot of clients for that side of the business, too.

Lisa is amazing! She gets in the pool with my Blue boy to make sure he’s comfortable and actually spends the whole time playing and swimming with him! It’s tough to wear out our dog but she does a great job making sure he’s well exercised and happy!

Aquatic Paws had been awesome! Started taking my 10 year old dog a few weeks ago. The staff are all very kind and understanding. Their facility isn't anything fancy, but it gets the job done well.

Awesome experience! My Rottie loved the exercise in the pool. Bill and Lisa were great and we enjoyed the experience. We will be back again for sure. Recommend to all with dogs who need extra energy expended.

Our dog has been visiting with Lisa for water therapy - Lisa does a wonderful job in providing a safe a secure environment for our fury friends that don't like the water. The facility is brand new, with a treadmill and small pool. Highly recommend!

This summer weather in DC is just a tad torturous for my furry family! I was excited to check out Aquatic Paws in the Falls Church/ Merrifield area. They are located off Lee Hwy right behind the El Tio Mexican Restaurant. There's plenty of parking around the building. Entrance is behind the main building. They work by appointments only. This gives you an opportunity to customize your visit. In our case, we have 2 dogs so we had the place to ourselves. It was $60 for 45 minutes for both dogs. There is a heated 4 foot pool and a water treadmill. Lisa and staff guided us through our whole visit. They have safety vests for the dogs. We were also allowed to join the puppies in the pool. It's so much fun to be in the water with the dogs. This is excellent for dogs who have recently gone through surgery or are less athletic. Water therapy is ideal for rehabilitation. After the water fun, there is a bath and shower area to clean off the chlorine. The area is also big enough for the pups to play indoors.
