Wide variety of birds, knowledgeable and friendly staff. All the birds look healthy and well taken care of. My two parrotlets adjusted well to their new home, happily chirping, eating and interacting. So happy I found this place. Kency was awesome! Highly recommend!

Being a novice or expert this store has for all. My husband and myself being new to birds came to the right place. The young gentleman I wish we could remember his name but we walked in with a welcome and please ask all the questions you like. We had so many and he took his time explaining each bird we liked and found us the perfect fit for our family. We walked out knowing we had all we need to make her feel at home and the knowledge to take care of her. We love her so much and found our store. Thank you

We stopped by here to look. My daughter really wants a bird. We’re undecided about the commitment. As we looked around at the birds we were impressed with the number and types of birds that they had. The store is small, which I have found is typical of independent pet stores, but the love and attention that they give their birds makes all of the difference. The young birds are still hand fed with a syringe. They wait until they are well trained and socialized before selling them. They also wait to clip their wings until they have fully developed. You can put down a deposit on a bird and then wait to take possession until the bird is ready. You can also board your bird there.Kency was really terrific. She brought out her bird, Snowball, a super loving cockatoo, and let us handle him. We also held a young cockatiel and a love bird. She was so patient and it was obvious that she loves the birds. She made my daughter super happy which was such a blessing. This is a small store, family owned and operated. On our second visit we met the owner, Ed. The customer service is intimate and they are caring people. We love the store and will be back

DO NOT VISIT! There were bird cages behind bird cages. FLIES EVERYWHERE. And the smell... It made me nauseous. The bird's water was filthy, and appeared to not be treated well. I ended up leaving within a few minutes.

Love love love. What an amazing place! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable. All of the birds are handled regularly and readily brought out for interaction with potential customers. They also help rehome birds and board birds (in a private room). All of the animals (even the rehomes) appear to be in excellent health. The cages are clean, the water is fresh, and the enrichment that’s available for each of the birds is excellent!! I cannot recommend this establishment more highly. It’s one of my favorite places to visit.

I walked in and out. The poor birds trapped in filthy cafges stacked on top of each other and pressed against every wall. It’s like the worst black ops prison, only for birds. I will hear their poor cries of distress all night in my imagination.

Just birds' smelly place looks shady like it's a front for something else that the type of atmosphere. It's exactly where you want to get your birds from.

I wonder if Pat still works there. We bought three birds from her 21 years ago. Two of them are still going strong! They are so affectionate, they are amazing. They have become part of our family. American bird company is the BEST place to buy a bird. Highly recommend!

The owner, Ed, was awesome! He made me feel welcome, was knowledgeable, and patient with me as I made sure I was choosing the correct bird for me. I ended up going with a plum headed parakeet, who was very hand tame and friendly from the day I first met her. Ed showed me everything I would need, recommended a vet, and even gave me his cell phone number in case I ever have any issues. I will 100% be going back to his store for whatever I need and boarding during vacations!

Great variety of birds. Knowledgeable and friendly staff that don't mind taking time to introduce you to the birds and help you make an informed decision on if you are ready to be a bird parent.

The attendant who was very good with the birds took 5 Parrots out of the cage to see if they we're friendly with me. Having a bird/pet pick you is every reason why you need to interact with them when looking. Beau picked me. Come on June 30th!

Beautiful birds at this place, birds look nice and healthy! I brought my bird here for her nails to be done, they did a excellent job and my bird feels a whole lot better! The young lady who did her nails was very patient and professional and best of all she was very organic down to earth. My bird had a great time Even though this was her first time ever getting her nails done! With plenty of love Thank you?

Babies were dirty with dried food all over them and in their towel bedding; the whole place smelled like urine, and they let customers handle pets that were being boarded…I certainly wouldn’t want strangers handling my birds. They did have a great collection of Quakers!

Just got a macaw with no experience so took it to them on a friend's recommendation. They are very friendly and professional. They calmed her down and gave me tips on how to care for macaws. They also didn't charge me anything to trim nails and wings. I would highly recommended this place. They also sell birds and supplies. The store is small but the birds are very well taken care of. They were giving them water when I arrived and the bowls were swapped with the clean ones with fresh water instead of adding water in old bowls.

I went there and immediately got a waft of ammonia. The entry was terribly small, then you see 3 random people just petting a single macaw (and not properly) and the cashier. The way the set up is, it's not set up to house or sell anything. You can clearly see they're in it for the profit. One of the rooms was tiny with cockatiels and parakeets, enough walk space but breeding sized cages stacked upon one another. The room next to it, had a few toos and three Amazons in a corner, all piled in together in their cages. It was similar to a hoarding situation. When asking for feed since I ran out, I got Harrisons brand. When I got back home, it was NOT seed but a seed blend made into pellets (and not very nutrient based as sunflower kernels were the 7th ingredient)The daily feed the birds there were not getting a good blend at all as I know which was being given as I had given it to my birds before I found something better.I would highly recommend adopting and I should have asked questions before I browsed a few items and bought the feed they had on the shelves. Was not worth a trip to buy, but worth it to know what not to do when running a rescue.

I do not recommend going here. I would rate it 0 stars if I could. There were a variety of birds, but when you walk in, you’re hit with the smell - it was horrific. Not only that, but the sound. Trust me, I’ve been to many, many bird stores and this is BY FAR the worst and loudest store I’ve been to. Not only the noise and smell, but the birds are PACKED. There are cages behind cages, trapped in the back. I doubt they get cleaned. The bird’s water is FILTHY, (all of them) being a brownish color. And there’s more, THERE WERE FLIES. I’m not kidding. Disgusting. I don’t get how this place can have decent reviews. Save yourself the trip, go somewhere else.

Please, please, please improve the condition your workers work in and so many poor birds (way too many birds) live in. There is not enough room for that many birds and not enough work force to keep them healthy and safe. The smell is unhealthy for any living thing, there are flies in the back room I guess from so much bacteria. Way to many birds in one place. There is really no fresh air going in except from when opening the front doors. Birds are dying.Extremely heartbreaking. Please someone do something. Those birds have done nothing wrong to deserve this.Thank you!

Absolutely wonderful establishment! Very welcoming, caring and knowledgeable staff. Wonderful variety of beautiful birds. My daughter recently lost her 2 close birdy tiels and we went there for a little emotional lift and support in getting through her grief. I am so glad we went. Though it will still be a hard road of grief for her, this company sure lifted our spirits and started a small light in maybe her considering a new birdy one day. Thank you guys! And for anyone looking for a bird or a wonderful place to admire these poetic animals, please go see them! You will not be disappointed! I have videos, I will be posting, check them out ! 😀 🐦🐤❤

The staff was very nice and welcoming I came in to get my birds nails clipped and a tag tightened. They did it all for free and gave me a list of places to go if I wanted the tag removed. They also offered me a nice stick of millet! I'll make sure to buy toys and anything else for that store in the future 🙂 5/5 starts and would definitely recommend people over there ☺️

Beautiful and amazingly cared for birds. Ed, Maria, and the rest of the staff are all very kind and knowledgeable. After my first call I was confident this was the place for me. The next day was my first visit and within minutes I had a deposit down for a baby green cheeked conure. This isnt a pet shop, this is a true aviary for very friendly hand raised/fed companions. I'll be visiting my new friend frequently until he is ready to come home!!

Like any exotic pet store, it's not perfect, but my wife and I had a positive overall experience during the process of getting our baby caique. The birds are relatively pricey, as one should expect for exotics that live 30-80 years, but they take very good care of their babies. The store is small and cramped - there's no getting around that - but the selection of supplies is surprisingly robust. Ed and the staff are knowledgeable and will sit and answer any question, so long as the store isn't too full (which it can be at times, so don't expect a quick in and out). Most importantly for us, after we put down a deposit, they allowed us to socialize our baby bird whenever we would like during store hours, so we stopped by at least twice a week for nearly 3 months and handled our specific baby for 15 minutes to an hour each time, no questions asked. We also got to know and handle a few store birds, which was really cool. This also allowed us to figure out what our caique liked in store, so we could just pick up toys and supplies as we went along. I can't overstate how helpful this was, as our bird essentially grew up with us and was fully socialized when we took her home. We've had her for nearly 5 months now and she's been an absolute gem. We also picked up two lovely canaries from ABC. Overall, I'd recommend ABC, but be aware of what you're getting into when considering a parrot.

Staff is very friendly. The bird toys, perches, food are all good quality. Some things are on the pricier side but I haven't bought a toy that my green cheek or cockatiel didn't love and play with. They offer free nail clipping and wing clipping but I only ever get the nails done. I was impressed by their boarding options but I haven't had an opportunity to try it.

Horrible store that should not be supported. When I visited, it smelled SO bad, was incredibly dirty and had bugs on the floor, and the poor birds were kept sometimes 10 birds to a small cage in dark rooms and were so stressed out they were plucking out their own feathers. If this isn't legally considered animal abuse, it should be.
