A nice place to stop on I-81. A BP gas station, country store/convenience store and McDonald’s with a covered picnic area. This sweet place looks like a farm house with the red rocking chairs on the front porch, a huge parking lot and cows grazing on the hillside behind the store. McDonald’s was clean with friendly employees. The kiosk and the ice cream machine Both worked! Take a break, sit in the covered picnic area. Watch the cows on the hillside and feel your blood pressure drop.

Very cute country store. My wife said the ladies bathroom was super nice and "pretty". They have novelty items and collectibles and a lot more snack options to choose from compared to usual gas stations.They are right next to the exit ramp with easy access and a McDonald's built into the original building. If you are looking for a break from the normal pitstop you will love this place for its uniqueness.Super polite and friendly staff. Everyone in town seemed to have a kind country charm. Need more places like this.

Wow. Great location. Country looking setting even a cute McDonald's from outside. Right off the highway with a dog grassy area and sheltered building. Cute rustic.

What a WONDERFUL experience it was to come upon Fairfield BP! From the moment my wife walked in, she was greeted by an exuberant and joyful cashier by the name of Rodney. After a long trip and a difficult time, seeing his joyful face was like a burst of radiant sunshine and a wonderful elixir. The store was lovely to behold, as well. There were delightful toys and beautiful cards on display as well as cowboy hats and other items sure to catch one's eye. We feel very blessed to have stopped, quite by accident, at such a wonderful place. Our gratitude goes to, not only Rodney, but the store manager who made our experience possible. Much thanks to all involved.

Clean and welcoming. We stoped in late to stretch. There was even a water dish in the green area for your pet. Staff was friendly. Oh, and the wooden wick candle in the bathroom!

I have been traveling from PA to NC for nearly ten years now and have come to rely on this location for a nice stop. It’s not your average gas station...its reminiscent of a quaint country store, the restrooms and nice and kept clean, the shelves and coolers are well stocked, with a few neat gift items available too. Plus the employees are so nice!

We stop at this gas station almost every time we travel up and down I-81 which is quite often. I am always recommending it to family and friends when they travel that way. That is fixing to change though. The past several times we have been there the employees at the McDonalds have been extremely rude so much so as to trash talk us when they thought the window had closed, for asking for BBQ instead of ketchup for our fries. We've also recently been getting messed up food orders and then they act like it's an inconvenience when we politely ask that we get the correct thing. The store employees aren't much better. They rarely greet you, also act like the fact that you stopped there is an inconvenience and typically 2 or more employees aren’t even in the store but are sitting outside hanging out with their friends smoking and It's not just cigarettes, when we stopped this last time they were standing right outside the door smoking pot! Like I get that it's legal and all now and I have no problems if you want to smoke it but there are families coming in and out of the store who just want to get by without getting hit in the face with the smoke! All in all if you need to go to the bathroom and want a clean restroom this is definitely the place but if you want quality customer service stop somewhere else! We sure will be from now on!

I was traveling through town. Stopped to purchase gas. I was very impressed at the station while driving up to it. Inside the store was more beautiful. I purchased a $30.00 candle and asked Luis to double bag it. I purchased 3 sets of earbuds and asked him to place them in a separate small bag as well, because they were going to different people. I then asked for a large bag to carry it to our vehicle. Luis looked at me and said, "You should have just asked for one bag to put the stuff in the big bag in the first place." I was taken aback and asked him if he had a problem with it. He said nothing. My daughter and her family walked up to make a purchase. Luis was not pleasant and was unwelcoming in my family's opinion. Virginia was beautiful while passing through. It's so unfortunate that I ran into a sour apple. The BP station has an inviting atmosphere. Luis breaks the mood.

I usually cringe when needing to stop on a road trip, but this store was a very pleasant surprise. The women's restroom was extremely clean and had a nice candle lit. It smelled so nice that I bought 4 candles as gifts. The candles were cheaper than on Amazon and smell better than Yankee Candle! This was a quaint country store with rocking chairs outside and picnic tables. I'm not accustomed to rating gas stations but this one deserved it.

Just here!! Very clean and friendly. A great place to stop for a moment. The Attendees are so very polite. Talked to a young man with dark hair and I was so impressed with his manners. His name is Pablo and he is a keeper! Need more respectful employees that are helpful like this everywhere.

One of the best highway stops you'll find. There are mountains around the store. A big selection of trail mix and specialty candy. Local honey. Clean restrooms, well kept store and very friendly down home employees. There is a McDonald's next door.

Best quick stop place I've ever been to. Lovely porch with rockers, plantings and flowers. Man at the counter (16Aug, afternoon) greeted me. So nice, such a friendly thing to do. Lovely flowers, cool merch. Even a candle burning in the ladies' room. Not only did it smell great, but it was very clean. Thanks for taking such care to make your business a pleasant place to stop. (On I-81 in VA, exit 200 at Fairfield.)

Easy to access from I81. Tons of gas pumps. Clean bathrooms. Really nice selection of snacks, drinks, toys, and more. A really nice McDonald's is attached. Great pit stop!

I never thought I would leave a review about a bathroom, but this gas station has the nicest bathroom I have ever been in. And, on my way out of the store the cashier had the sweetest smile as he told me to have a nice day even though he was in the middle of checking someone out. Great gas station, great ladies room lol
