Excellent service and my boys are adorable 🤩. My Yorkie is 14 years old and blind so it was terrifying for me the first time I dropped him off but when I picked him up he was happy and wiggly and showed no signs of stress. I will definitely keep using this place.

I’ve taken my cat here since the moment I heard they were amazing with cats. However, the salon switched owners this past November or October and unfortunately it was not the same experience. On Nov 22 I took my cat for a grooming, and I was so hopeful that she would get groomed like the times before, because the moment I walked in the woman was so hesitant ( my cat comes medicated and in her bag.) I was called 4 hours later (she was there since 10 am) to be told that my cat did not allow them to touch her, so they couldn’t get her groomed. I was shocked, honestly. My cat is not an angel but she has been going to this salon for the longest and I have never had a problem with the previous groomers or owner. Fast forward to when I picked her up, my cat was so calm towards me. I tried to reschedule and the woman was so hesitant to even make another appointment for me, so I asked if the groomers were the same and that was when I found out that the business switched owners. Mind you my cat has Gabapentin, and has gotten cuts here before. Fast forward to the following week for her next appointment, I did not even get a reminder. Therefore the woman did not even bother to make an appointment. I am disappointed because there are many cat parents that take their cats there, so if they can’t handle cats anymore they should be aware of the customers they are loosing.

Very bad place and communication made a call to schedule an appointment and everything was planed good but when the day came I made a call to make sure my appointment was made at the time I knew so when I called it turns out they never made the appointment! They said that I had to pay a 40$ deposit first and THEN they'll make the appointment BUT when I FIRST called they never said any of that so I was very disappointed because I cleared my schedule for this today ON A SPRING BREAK this place NEEDS better people and better communication I could barely hear the lady speak on the phone even on full volume on speaker!!sorry but if ur gonna just scam me like that I'd Rather just bathe my dog at home. this place sorry but is a 1 star

Booked for a Cat grooming (Pancakes, long hair, 6 years old, first groom!) and am super pleased with the results!I called ahead to make an appointment. Didn’t get much instruction other than to come at 8:15am and bring medical/vax history, but person on the phone was very polite and nice!Salon was clean and cute! I opted for the full bathing service with a lion cut. Price came out to $120 not including tip, which is very fair for the quality of work done. I got a call about 2.5 hours later to come pick up Pancakes and was so happy to see that my bby didn’t look too stressed and was absolutely adorable! Upon closer inspection, I noticed that they were very detailed and thorough. Back door cleaned up nicely, paw pad hairs trimmed (which a lot of other places tend to skimp on), ears cleaned well and face framing was perfect! Also, I regularly trim Pancakes’ claws at home so those were good to go, but they even took the time to file the tips to a super smooth point! Love the attention to details!!Overall, my kitty smells and feels so clean, and looks amazing! Highly recommend the cat grooming service here and will definitely be returning!

I have had my golden doodle for ~2 years now and it didn't take me long to understand all of the complaints about grooming this breed. I discovered Pet Star in 2021 after some negative or lackluster experiences with other groomers. They do a wonderful job at Pet Star! It's also not too difficult to get an appointment without waiting for weeks/months.My dog is timid, but she is much more comfortable at Pet Star than she was at other groomers. I am so happy to have found someone I trust with my pup! She always gets loads of compliments after her grooming appointments!

They recently changed their owner and my experience here was amazing! The quality is amazing as my dog came back looking and smelling so good! All of their services are very high quality and worth the price. Highly recommend bringing your dog here for a groom! They also offer dog boarding! Can't wait to come back here.

This place was wonderful. I've been looking for a good place to bring my Pomeranian and I finally found a keeper. When you arrive, they have soft and calming music playing which made my dog feel so at ease. The staff was super friendly and helpful in making sure they completed everything I wanted for her. It really felt like everyone here was sincerely interested in my dog and how they we're treating her. I didn't feel nervous leaving her here at all. When I returned, they brought her out quickly and she looked like an angel (even more so than usual)! She looked so fluffy and cute and happy. I can tell she really enjoyed herself. She was happy to see me but it didn't seem like it was because she was scared. The staff did an amazing job helping her look her best. She came home exhausted took a nice little pupnap. Will be coming back to get her groomed again soon!

Pet Star Salon grooms CATS and dogs well. I'm very happy w the service for two long haired kittens.It was their first grooming and they were beautiful and emotionally fine afterwards. One got a "lion cut" and bath ($90 + tip) and looks adorable, and another day the other got just the undercarriage and exit door trimmed (😉"man scaped"😆) no bath for $45 + tip. Upon checkout, I asked for a shorter cut on the cat's behind and it was done without any trouble. The owner and staff are very friendly.The shop prefers 830am appointments for cats bc it is not as loud with fewer dogs, and less overstimulating for the cats.The store front is a lobby and shop for pet supplies. The back is divided into at least two separate rooms with windows. All is bright, clean and cheery.

Do not take your dog here! They are very discriminative towards dogs especially if your dog is pit-mixed. I even called to ask if the groomer that usually bathes my dog was there and they said, "yes". I walked in and the lady told me that she can't take my dog because the "kind of dog" he is. She laughed at my face and said "sorry". If you take a look at their reviews and website, they clearly take small dogs and a specific type.They are also overpriced - just a bath for your dog will cost you $50. This will not include nails being clipped or any other services such as ear cleaning, glands, etc.I highly recommend NOT to take your dog(s) here. There are many other places that are more welcoming and will provide a better service as well as better rates.

I don't know what's gotten into the owner lady today. She was unbelievably rude. She didn't say hi, bye, or thanks. These are very basic. It's not like I was being rude to her. All I did was being nice and smile. She just snatched my dog and money, and the grooming was terrible. I've been going to this place for a couple of years so I know that the quality, manner, and service all went down. The only thing that went up is the fee. I really hope she didn't abuse my dog while they were inside. I probably need to request the recorded camera. Please be careful everyone. I am not kidding.

This salon did such an amazing job! Quick and fair price, too. My dog usually doesn’t look as cute straight from the groomer but I have to say, this is the first time in her 14yrs of life that I thought she came out really cute! Will definitely come back.

I've been going here for many years now. Whenever I come to pick my 3 dogs up post-grooming, they don't seem stressed / scared. One of my dogs gets easily scared by people and would have her tail tucked under when I went to other groomers in the area before I found Pet Star, but here she runs up to me with her tail wagging! We take our dog here regularly and they are the sweetest people. Frisbee comes back clean, nails trimmed, and smelling great. Our dog does not require grooming, so I can't speak to that. The appointments are on time and never take longer than an hour for a call to pick her up (petsmart can be four hours!).

My dog apparently had a diarrhea at their facility, but wasn’t cleaned at all. We didn’t notice it at pickup, and had to give him a bath again when we got home (then what’s the point of taking him to a groomer?). We also had to clean the car seat.They also booked one of my dog’s appointment on a wrong date. When I showed up to drop off my dog before work, their door was locked. I called and they said they had the appointment booked for the next day.... despite the fact that they spoke to me twice on the phone to book and confirm the appointment. I had to take time off of work just to go back home to drop off my dog.Super unprofessional and not happy with their service at all. Not the best quality grooming either. Price keeps going up but they the quality of their service keeps dropping

This place is absolutely wonderful. I have a big dog who's about 90 lbs. They take great care of him. They are very good at taking directions and they always make my boy look fantastic and smell great. Family of mine has toy Yorkies they take there and they do the same for them. Their prices to my knowledge are very reasonable. For my boy (90 lbs) is about $100-$120 for everything. (This also includes gratuity). They do wonderful work.

I am so lucky I discovered this pet salon. They are reasonably priced, $55 ($45 for the first time) for a total package grooming including nails, hair cut, bath for my less than 10 lbs puppy. Sue is so sweet and my pup immediately took onto her and was really comfortable. They do a great job at caring for your pet so I highly recommend them.

The best haircut I can ever ask!! I was looking for an appointment for my shih tzu because his birthday party was coming up and when I tried calling other pet salons, they couldn’t do it just because of his knots. But when I heard about this salon, they helped me right away and when I got my dog Stanley, he was perfect and super soft!! Definitely would want to come back here again!!

I would not recommend this place for grooming services. They do not listen to the request of the owner and do what they want. They prefer to cut the hair super short so it is easier work for them. They also communicate terribly. I will never take my dog here again. If you want a cut, go elsewhere. All they do it shave.I took my dog to Pet Smart Grooming in Fairfax, and they did exactly what I asked and what Pet Star Salon said they couldn’t do which was give my dog a haircut instead of shaving her. They did an excellent job.

I had a great experience! My 7 year old cat has never gotten bathed or trimmed, so I thought she might be a bit scared and stressed.... not at all! She’s does not seem stressed one bit which leads me to believe they handled her very well. She smells and looks amazing! I recommend this place 100%

I literally just picked up my two westies and they look amazing! I took them in because they needed some serious love and they looked amazing when then came out. One the dogs faces had to be trimmed shorter than a traditional westie cut but they called me to ask if cutting it short was okay before they did it. My doggies smell fantastic and look happier than ever. And it's totally affordable for anyone nearby. I'm in love with this groomer. Thank you for taking such good care of my babies!!

The groomers at Pet Star are calm, caring and well-versed in the art of grooming dogs. We have 3 dogs (Maltese, Maltese/Pekinese and Standard Bernedoodle), and they are all very well groomed and well taken care of each time they visit. In contrast with other places we've tried, our dogs are all very upbeat, happy and look fantastic when we go to pick them up. You have to call and make an appointment, but they try their best to accommodate your schedule.

I used to go to another dog salon, when ever they came out. They came out with a muzzle.But when I came to this place, my dogs came out all happy with the groomers, even coming out with no muzzle at all.I would definitely recommend bring your pets here.

Whoever the groomer was, did a poor job with my shih tzu cut. It was uneven everywhere. And the said part it was not my dog first time here. They use to do such a perfect teddy bear cut. Now it just seem sloppy and lazy. I hope my next round is someone experienced and certified. It's obvious when a person is not experienced based on the cut. And again, I been coming here for a few years. Disappointing this time.

I won’t be returning after being a customer since 2020. I was not satisfied with the services that are advertised as part of the grooming / shampooing package. For example, ear cleaning is included and to me there was no difference in the before and after.

Called for a same-day appointment and they were able to accommodate my shih tzu for full service grooming, which included bath, hair cut, anal glands, nail trim, and ears cleaned. I was asked specifics on the way I wanted her hair cut to be and the results were perfect. The owner had told me it would take between 2-3 hrs and by 2.5 hrs I received a phone call to pick her up. Izzey left as a clean, happy, good-smelling pup with a pretty bow on her head. I don't understand how some other grooming establishments ask you to drop off your pet at opening, but say they won't be ready until 5pm. Hmmm...The place just opened about 2 months ago and appears very clean. The establishment does sell a small selection of products as well. The owner Sue was very kind and professional. She did recommend me purchasing Angel Eyes to help rid Izzey's tear stains but didn't seem pushy at all and just sent me home with a brochure to read about it. Sue was so sweet, she walked us out to my car holding a big umbrella over us since it was raining cats and dogs! Thanks! We'll be back.

I've been taking my pup here for about 2 years now- they've done a great job each time, usually easy to get an appointment within a week and if I drop off at 830am he is typically ready by 10/1030am which I appreciate.
