This Costco store in Fairfax is known for being one of the cleanest and well-stocked with various merchandise, especially lots of Asian products for Asian communities. It is one of many American wholesale clubs where customers can purchase bulk quantities of merchandise at discounted prices, but only if they are club members who pay an annual fee. Costco offers various products, including electronics, computers, furniture, appliances, jewelry, fresh and cooked food, meats, fruits, vegetables, clothes, and much more. This store also features a Tire Center for tire and car technical needs, complimentary tire air-pressure machines, a gas station exclusively for members, an in-house food court, a hearing aid store, a pharmacy, a vision center, and a bakery. Costco also sends out a membership magazine, the Costco Connection, periodically. Although some products require bulk purchases for discounts, I appreciate Costco's reasonable prices and quality products. Additionally, ample parking is available in the lot, but the store can get busy, especially on weekends.

This Costco is packed during Friday morning.First I want to say the gas station has 2 pump per lane. And the line can be long at time.Inside the Costco, the layout is very similar to other Costco. I will say it is smaller space than other Costco I been to in west coast.The food court is the most interesting because I never seen beef roast sandwich, mango smoothie, and strawberries ice cream. Unfortunately I did not get those yet the time I visit. Will definitely try one day

Costco sells plants and small trees during Spring time but has no arrangements to facilitate customer buying in bulk to load to their cars. I bought 10 trees today, had to go all the way upfront to request the manager of if I can pull my car to the back door so that I can load easily. The manager obliged my request but informed me, it’s a one time deal. Is Costco so well known for customer service sliding downwards? How do they expect a customer to cart bulky items through the crowd using the regular line via the cashier. It is highly unreasonable, some of these trees are 6 to 9 ft tall with huge plastic pots. This is just plain lack of empathy towards customers buying bulky items. Hope you can improve Costco! Or maybe you don’t care anymore. Because this option was available in past years. You pay, show the receipt and pickup bulky items at the back. Saving you the headache to navigate through families with kids shopping at the store.

This is one of the best Costco locations in Northern Virginia. They have a large Asian population in the area so a lot of the products cater to the surrounding population which I think makes it unique and better than other locations in the region. They also have a gas station and plentiful parking.

A Latino woman at the self checkout insisted that we were not the next in line and refused to check us out when SHE was the one who did not see us initially. Heard they got a new general manager a few years ago and this location has gone downhill faster than a ski slope 😡

I love this Costco location. As most Costcos are it’s extremely busy, but the checkout lines move incredibly fast. The store is very clean and well-stocked. We enjoy their pre-made meals and they’re always fresh and delicious. I miss their Beef Bulgogi, they don’t make that anymore (bring it back!). My husband and I both got new tires put on our cars and I will say that their time estimates aren’t that great, each time it took longer than expected. But I’d still go back for the prices and friendly staff.

Update: My boyfriend ended up picking up the food 10 mins later at this location and went to the food court through the exit with no issue. He happens to be a white man. If you're a minority they will feel more comfortable being rude to you. Next time I'm speaking to management if they are making exceptions for "specific" customers.*Encountered an extremely rude staff member. He was an older, short man with a gray/white beard. He told me I could not go to the the food court through the exit. I had a large order and it was ready, all I needed to do was pay. He didn't care whatsoever and told me I needed to go to the entrance line. If they are reinforcing that rule now, then I'll have to accept it. My issue was his argumentative tone and lack of customer service. I turned around and left the store. It's unfortunate this is the closest Costco in my area. I might drive a little farther to the Chantilly location.

This costco is great and has an auto center, gas station, and of course a full size warehouse.The only reason I am giving it 4 stars is just because this Costco serves a large dense area and so if you go during typical times you will be searching for a parking spot for a while.I would recommend going off peak hours, which i've found has been basically rush hour during the weekdays. It's still busy but you're not fighting for a parking spot!Other than that, I am a huge fan of this costco and have never had another issue.

I Had a very bad experience in their tire center on 4/12/24. Had an appointment scheduled and arrived on time (06:45 pm) to get my tires replaced. They told me it would “be a bit” because they took walk in’s. I’m not sure what their walk in policy is, but I shouldn’t have to wait for hours because costco accepted a work load they couldn’t handle. Me and about 4 other people waited until after closing. I was out by 9:45 and the others were still waiting. Manager was clearly frustrated but I received no apology or any real explanation other than a “sorry deal with it “ kind of attitude from the initial intake staff. Didn’t appreciate that

I ordered tires on January 10th and booked an appointment for January 27 at 10 am. I get a call at 9:20 am, 40 minutes prior to my appointment, to tell me that they only have 3 of the 4 tires and they will reschedule me when the other tire is available. I did get an email a few days after I ordered them that they had been delivered to the center. It took them this long to figure out that they only had 3 of the 4 tires. I was not happy with the call either as the representative that called was not concerned in the least and spoke with me as if she was doing me a favor. I have used the tire center many times and it was always flawless.

In my personal opinion I think that this location has a racist Manager (Jennifer). I came up to returns to return a defective LG 32 inch Ultra Gaming Monitor ($300) don't buy this monitor!! The screen stopped working from one day to another for no reason, and it's extremely fragile. Also the huge speaker in the back never worked. She didnt even look up my account in her computer until I started shouting 10 minutes into our conversation. Also after speaking to her and showing her my account in the phone, my member account had been deleted from my costco profile, my best guess is that she deleted it since she kept my phone for the whole time we were dicussing, and my account number was not showing in my account right after my interaction with her. She is extremely rude and looked down upon me, I am hispanic, then proceeded to kick me out of her store and sent me to pentagon city. This store has predominantly workers of color, so I don't know what she meant by that. However, she was looking at me like I was an animal the entire time, didn't check my profile to see that I was a member since 2015. Until after 10 minutes of shouting at me. Then she used words like not in my store and go to x, which is popular this days, sending minority people to x location. One of her assistants that presenced the nasty way she treated me came up with a cart to at least help me lift the heavy and huge 32 inch monitor back to my car. I very much thank her for that and she should be the new manager.In my personal opinion, beware if you are minority a seek something from the fairfax, costco other than buying items from them, which they will welcome our money, but not treat us fairly if there are any product issues.

Plenty of room for overnight parking for early morning delivery. Depending on what you deliver call to see if they can take you early. They too 1hr to unload which isn't great but also not bad. This was due to unloading crew showing up later than normal.

This location on a Tuesday evening was completely crazy and packed, wall to wall with people. I will not be coming back to this location. This was my first time here. Never seen a Costco this busy on a weeknight with no holiday.

Don't get tires here! Been happy with costco for many things but there was so many things wrong with this experience. I ordered tires on a thursday and set an appt to have them installed on their online ordering system for Monday. Monday I called and tires were not there. Tuesday I called 3X and the tire department did not pick up their phone. Wednesday same issue so I contacted membership. She said she would transfer me but put me on hold for 15 min then hung up. I called tires again and got through. They told me they had not idea what happened to my order but this was a problem I needed to solve without the help of the store which canceled the install appt (her store). When I pointed out she was asking me to do her job, she insisted I stay online otherwise her ecom dept would not talk to her about my order. This was absoutely not the case as they never asked any confirmation from me but I stayed on for the 40 min call and they told me there was a backorder issue even though I was allowed to place the order. They then figured out a way to get the tires shipped from a central location on the next monday (a week after the install appt) but had no idea when they would arrive at the store. Something came up with my 78 yo mother on thursday (before they were to be shipped) so I made an appt with NTSB who gave me the same deal on better tires and installed the same day. I called Costco Fairfax to simply cancel. I got through to tires after 2 calls and left a message to cancel my order with my name and order #. Got a call back. Was told in order for them to give me my money back for an order they canceled, I would have to make a round trip to their store which I wqas not planning to do. I asked to speak with the manager. The tire manager got in touch and said the same thing. I am now waiting for the store manager to call me back. It seems a classic case of credit card fraud as they did not have the tires when they said they would and when I contacted them asking for money back and they are putting conditions on the return of the money on the items they did not produce at the time of the appointment which would cause me another hour of time. If the store manager says the same thing I plan to report to the cc company as a dispute due to credit card fraud.

Costco cashier used his power to pick on customer. My wife and I went to this Costco location on 3/14/2024, we met a cashier named Huy around 2:15PM. He refused to let us check out, he said the membership is not my wife's, which is true, it's my mother-in-law's membership. He claimed he check every customer's Costco membership, which is a bowl of craps. We watched him checking out other customers after that, he did not even look at their membership card, contradicting to his statement to us. My wife told me while she was waiting in line, Huy came up to her, asks if she has Costco membership. He only asked her, despite there were more than 30 other people waiting in line at that time. Then he asked my wife to come to his station to check out. Per Costco policy, each Executive Member account is allowed 2 members. I understand my mother-in-law needs to add my wife to her account, it is our fault for delaying it. However, the fact that Huy, due to his own words, "I only do my job", he only target us, a Vietnamese couple, he did not check on other customers' memberships, he did not go out of his way to ask anyone else waiting in line about their membership status. He only asked us. This is troublesome because if he really does his job, he should have checked every single customer's membership. We are very disappointed is Costco to employ such employee who abuses their power and targets a certain type of customer, in our case, the Vietnamese shoppers.

Absolutely horrible experience. Overcrowded, disrespectful staff and filthy. After reporting an employee for their unprofessional attitude, I was essentially dismissed my Costco management. There is a clear and present issue with this location and their disrespectful employees. After years of being a Costco member, I choose to go elsewhere.

I would give them less if I could. Horrible customer service. Ruel and the staff in the self checkout area are hands down the worst staff I’ve ever experienced. I would go to any other location before the on in Fairfax to save yourself the headache. Rude, wasted my time, and the only Costco I know where customer service isn’t prioritized.

Delivery here is disorganized and stup!d! Move your own trailers to the front and unload outsiders if you have little to no space. There's little to no parking and is basically an island for Truckers. Or here's a better one, just unload us and we'll be on out way. Your Truckers get to go home every night.

Extremely unorganized for deliveries appt time is only good when you’re late so they can make u reschedule, but if you’re on time you’ll wait anyway showed up for 6am appt told I was next in door but they kept coming saying oh this is our customer they have to be next so I kept having to wait because appt time means nothing when you’re black. Make the black guy with Scott’s wait is what I heard they Costco rep say it’s now 2hrs past my appt and still letting people in front of meI showed up at 1am for my 6am appt it’s 8am and I’m still waiting smh

This particular store has issues, not the store itself but the parking lot is a huge problem. This place is crowded like no other place but they have people driving thru the front of the store with pedestrians trying to walk into the store with cars temporarily parked in front of the store. This store carries some nice stuff but it's just too crowded and people get into confrontations. Never seen so much chaos at a store. Would avoid if possible.

The member service team are professional and polite the times I've engaged with them and made my visit easy. Also I was there for vaccinations and the medical team were also very kind and were helpful explaining information to me for travel which I appreciated greatly! The selection is wide and I do believe Costco does their best to organize the store and group things together which makes sense. The team members seem to really put in a lot of effort to keep the store clean, continuously restocking items, helping patrons reach items high up, providing customer service and I can imagine it's a big responsibility. I will be honest, sometimes the items in the store I can't always identify the discount but the value of the discount on GAS IS VERY MUCH APPRECIATED!!!!! I also really enjoy the concession area sometimes, the pizza and hot dog deals are really great and their other meals are a good treat after you spent hours going down every aisle to make sure there is not something else you may need.. more like want heehee. Great work Costco team!

Parking is a hellscape, but if it isn't, is it really a Costco 🤔? Otherwise, this is a solid, reliable shop -- been my main store for over a year and maybe once or twice the item I'm shopping for isn't there/sold-out, so that a major win in my book. Don't see a lot of food /products demo, but maybe I'm not there at the time. Overall, very clean, long lines for check-out, but super quick line time, nonetheless. Highly recommend. P.S. they have gas at this location! Totally worth it!

About 2 weeks ago I went in the Costco Chantilly auto center , the line was very long, about 11 people, the one lady who was the only staff member, eas not pleasant and responded to my question with attitude. It was so frustrating that I went to the warehouse and ask for a manager who went and talk to the shop manager. I decided I wasn't going to use this place for my need. I have been a Costco member for more than 30 years. Costco management is pretty responsive to complaints, however inconsistent with quality ofcustomer service .

This place is an absolute nightmare traffic jam inside and out. Brace yourself for long lines and long walks from the parking lot to the store. They do have a lot of inventory and prices are good.

Food court is hot garbage. The pizza station is consistently absolute chaos. You wait an hour. Doesn’t matter if you call ahead. I could call a week in advance and still wait an hour. It’s ridiculous.
