This place is amazing. We came here to celebrate our anniversary and it was magical. The cabins are so nice and cozy. The views are stunning and the location is secluded but close to many great spots to relax and enjoy the views or do so many other things such as wineries, breweries, hiking, skiing, horse back riding. We had a great time and didn't want to leave. We will definitely be back.

There is a reason this place has only 5 stars! It was one of the most magical places I’ve ever stayed. We created so many memories in our short visit. We loved the cabin and the lake. It’s also convenient to breweries and orchards if you want to explore the area. And Lisa is amazing! She was out cleaning the dock and lake toys first thing in the morning to make sure they were ready for the day. We can’t wait to go back!

This is our 3rd stay at the lake house since July!! It is absolutely beautiful and our favorite vacation spot forever. The owner Lisa and Dwayne are great host and wonderful people ! We could not ask for a better place to be. The view is amazing day and night. Fishing is amazing and everything you need is provided... paddle boat ,john boat,life jackets. The hot tub is absolutely amazing. Well maintained and the cabin is always clean and spotless. Thank you again for everything. We greatlyappreciate you both and look forward to coming back in a couple of months.

We stayed at the Sedona Cabin and it was perfect. When we arrived, we weren't sure what to expect. But upon entering the cabin we were wowed with what a great place it was. It had all the creature comforts of home, and more. The porch overlooking the lake was amazing! We enjoyed the firepit and grilling out. We caught tons of fish, and relaxed in the sunshine. We have found our new favorite place to get away! Can't wait to go back! Thanks Duane and Lisa!Food & drinks: About a mile or so away, there is a little grocery store, ABC, several restaurants and a Dollar General. Very convenient if you need anything!

Just came back from our second trip to the resort. Our stay there was as good as the first one and can't wait to come back. The cabin interior is fantastic. You can see the attention to detail that Lisa and Duane put into their cabins. It is the perfect combination of a rustic cabin but with the modern amenities that you need to keep your teenagers happy.At the lake we enjoyed fishing and taking the row boat available for guests.When the evening came we enjoyed the amazing sunset and then the fire pit. All in all a fantastic weekend. This place is starting to feel like a second home to us.

We've been to Southern Comfort 3 different times now and all different seasons:) Last time it snowed about 5 inches so we extended our stay. Duane and Lisa are always available and even brought us a tube for sledding! The property is beautiful with plenty of well maintained trails and the dogs love it. The cabins are exquisite with just the right mix of log cabin feel and modern appliances. Each cabin has a great fire pit and comfortable back porch looking onto the lake. AND it's just a short distance to great wineries and breweries. We have already sent friends there and highly recommend it!

My husband and I visited in July and we stayed in the Sedona. This place truly is a little slice of Heaven. The cabin was absolutely beautiful and oh so cozy and the owners are absolutely wonderful. We enjoyed sitting out on the porch overlooking the water drinking our coffee and just talking and enjoying the peace and quiet. On Sunday we decided to go kayaking and really enjoyed ourselves and played a little corn hole. So if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway and beautiful country, this is definitely The place to visit!

This resort is truly a little slice of heaven, we enjoyed our stay so much and cannot wait to go back. The cabins are cozy and have everything you need for a relaxing stay. We spent every night on the porch looking at the lake or by the fire. The lake has plenty of toys to enjoy the water or you can simply take a noodle and float. We enjoyed all of the scenic hiking routes on the property, too. If looking to get off the property (no judgement if you don’t leave, we almost didn’t!) plenty of breweries and such to visit with live music and good food. Lisa and Duane were incredibly kind, welcoming and hospitable and we were happy to get to chat with them when we passed by during our stay. Our pup especially enjoyed all of the land and a good swim too!! If you’re looking for a relaxing back to nature stay but would like the amenities, this is the place for you. Can’t wait to be back!

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend at the Southern Comfort Cabins! The hiking trails and views were stunning! Having the firewood pre-delivered for us to have several fires for marshmallow roasting was perfect! The Cabin was clean in a way I did not think a cabin could be clean! Duane and Lisa are amazing hosts that gave us plenty of space, but let us know they were available if needed. A wonderful experience that had me checking my calendar for when we could make our next stay!

We love this hidden gem. This was our 2nd time staying in the Lakeside cabin and we got to experience the cold weather cabin vibe this time. Left the kids at home this time and brought our doodles. The fireplace was key with the 20 degree temps and shower never disappoints. Coffee in the morning over looking the frosted landscape. On and we cooked some fabulous meals in the kitchen. Can’t wait to come back already!

This was our second time staying at the Southern Comfort cabins and it was even more wonderful than the first! The cabins themselves are rustic yet modern with beautiful finishes and thoughtful touches. Two cabins are dog-friendly and one even has a hot tub (highly recommend). We loved making our own breakfast, hiking the beautiful trails along a beautiful babbling brook, and sitting around the fire pit. Great proximity to restaurants, wineries, breweries and countless hikes. And Duane and Lisa are so kind and very responsive. Can't recommend enough!

We've just spent a second amazing stay at Southern Comfort!Every comment we made before still holds. LOVE this resort!!We spent a lovely, relaxing 5 days. The cabin is luxurious and rustic - the perfect combination. We enjoyed hiking the trails, kayaking, coffee on the porch, and exploring the country side. The hosts are perfect and available if the need arises.

Gorgeous, serene lakeside resort!The cabin, amenities, property and lake were all wonderful! The lake view from the cabin was just beautiful. There was enough space between the four cabins to make everyone feel they had privacy. The cabin was spotless. The bathroom had a fabulous spa shower – luxurious towels, the beds were incredibly comfortable, and the cabin had all the necessities for our two-night stay. We brought charcoal, and grilled dinner both nights. Duane cleaned the grill before and after each use – and we had a cozy fire in the fire pit both nights. We took advantage of the kayaks – and did some fishing both from the shore and on the kayak. It’s definitely worth it to purchase firewood from them and have Duane deliver it.It’s obvious that Lisa and Duane love what they do – they were both a pleasure to work with. If you are looking to de-stress, recharge and enjoy nature, this is the place to come. We will definitely be making a return trip some time in the future!

My husband and I have stayed at these cabins I a few times, and each time I fall in love with something new. From the beautiful modern bathroom and kitchen, to the adorable cabin/woods/hunting featured decorations. Each cabin is situated to where you feel in your own private oasis. You have a gorgeous view of the lake. My husband enjoyed spending time fishing on the lake. The hiking trails are beautiful! This time we stayed in The Lakehouse. A hot tub was recently added, which was a nice touch to relax. Duane and Lisa continue to add little touches to the cabins that make the stay unique and better each time. Both are so friendly and make it such a joy! We look forward to each time we can escape to such a wonderful place!

What a special place!! We knew we wanted to extend our trip when we pulled up. Gorgeous property and beautiful cabin with amazing attention to detail. We stayed in the Sedona and felt like we had the place to ourselves. Peaceful and fun. Our boys (7 and 9) had the best time sledding and great hiking for the family (furry ones too!). At first after seeing the road leading to the resort entry, we got concern of the safety of the place. Because I saw a nasty old and dirty trailer. Then came rough road to the actual place. The area is serene. Very quiet, you can actually see, hear and feel nature. We stayed in Sedona Cabin with our 2 dogs. Excellent condition, clean and everything you need they have it, from baking to grilling needs. Bathroom is extremely beautiful and functional. The place is very well maintained. The only suggestion I have is to put a recycle bin. Otherwise, perfect place to enjoy nature, unwind and stay with nature.

What a great location. We wanted a weekend retreat to reset, rewind and revive and boy did we find it. We had 4 nights at Southern Comfort and had the best time. The accommodations are first class, well appointed and beautifully decorated. Each cabin has a great view of Lake Hamilton which provides for many reflective moments. The kitchen is well appointed for your everyday basic cooking needs with a stove, oven, microwave and dish washer. We found “The Lakeside” Cabin very comfortable for our party of four. The hot tub out back was always warm and relaxing. Of the numerous things I could mention, the best by far were our hosts. Duane was very accommodating and anxious to assist us I. Having a great getaway. He just a genuinely good man. Lastly, if your looking for things to do, Devil’s Backbone e, Bold Rock and several other libation laboratories are within 3 to 5 miles. If your into skiing, Wintergreen is just up the road. We had the best time and look forward to our next visit.

Accomodations were perfect. These cabins are spotless and well appointed. The grounds and views are beautiful. Plenty to do for adults and children.We took kayaks out twice and caught bunch of crappie, a bass, and bluegill. Crappie were nice size.This place is very much worth the money and one of the hosts, Lisa, goes out of her way to see that you have everything that you need.We spent 3 beautiful days and nights here with picture perfect weather.Stores for supplies or restaurants for a bite out are 5 min away.We are already planning another stay here this summer and have recommended to all our family and friends........yes, its that nice.Thanks to Lisa and her team for keeping this place in pristine condition.We will be back soon.Don & Steph

Duane and Lisa are amazing!!! My family and I have stayed in their cabins a number of times and they are always perfect. The cabins are great but the property on which the cabins sit is also amazing. One of our favorite things to do is to walk along the many trails Duane has created around the lake and the stream on the property. Treat yourself and book a stay with them. You won't regret it. :-)

This was our 5th trip to Southern Comfort Lake Side cabins and it was just wonderful. We stayed in the Lakeside Cabin, it has all the comforts of home and everything you would need during your stay. Everything at the resort is well maintained, the cabins, grounds and beach area. Lisa and Duane are wonderful hosts, very friendly and attentive to your needs. My husband and I highly recommend a stay here. We are from New Jersey and look forward every summer to spending a week here.

We stayed at the Woodsman cabin recently and it was awesome. The place is beautiful and incredibly well maintained, and we had a great time hiking the area with the dogs. It was very calm and peaceful, and a short drive to numerous breweries, distilleries, etc.

We had an amazing experience at Southern Comfort Lakeside Cabin Resort. Lisa and Duane were exceptional hosts and the cabin was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed the kayaks and row boat on the lake. My kids loved catching fish (bluegill and bass). Our favorite part was relaxing with our feet in the cool stream while our kids explored. We will definitely be back.

The Homestead cabin has been a beautiful and peaceful weekend getaway for us. The beauty and privacy gave us exactly what we needed to take a break and get off the grid. The cabin is tastefully decorated and the shower alone is worth the trip. We fished in the lake and enjoyed the spirit of God that rests over this land. We will be back soon. Serene and tranquil mountain getaway. Lisa and Duane are the perfect hosts and take immaculate care of their property and cabins. The cabins are top notch and roomy with everything you need. My husband and I had a romantic, quite retreat celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary. Lots of nearby trails to venture. We explored the 3 miles of trails on the property and tackled The Priest and White Rock Falls trails that were an easy 25 min drive away. Highly recommend staying here. Can’t wait to go back!!

We spent 4 nights at the Lake House cabin with our two small children (ages 1 and 3), and the cabin and property surpassed our expectations in every way!The cabin itself was really well appointed - clean, modern, high-end fixtures and a spa-quality shower. Similarly, the property is just beautiful, with lovely views, well-groomed trails and lots of nice adirondack chairs and benches set up around the lake. And the location is perfect, with plenty of breweries and places to eat within a few minutes drive, yet it still feels completely secluded at the lake.The resort is especially great for small kids - the cabins are spaced out enough for privacy, but the property is small enough that our 3 year old could manage the trails and comfortably walk down to the lake from our cabin.Lisa and Duane were incredibly welcoming and helpful, and we hope to visit again!

My husband and I had an absolutely magical weekend getaway at these cabins.The pictures really don't do this resort justice. We stayed in the Woodsman cabin for two nights with our doggie and loved every minute. The resort is situated on a private man-made lake with beautiful and scenic trails we loved exploring. The cabins themselves are new with amazing amenities and special touches. They are really unlike any other cabins I'd ever stayed in. They are designed and decorated beautifully with pretty much everything you would need for barbecuing, relaxing, and getting a great nights sleep. The beds are fantastic, the shower was really amazing, I could go on and on. Just an all-around awesome place. We didn't get a chance to meet the owners but everything was arranged and easily set up for a perfect weekend getaway. We will definitely be back!
