Need better customer service. I waited for a while and no one came to attend me even after a cashier called up for someone to come. Onley’s food lion is the exact same way. This problem should be fixed

This store always has my basic grocery needs. Today the lines weren't running down the aisles like usually, but who wants to work in an ugly pandemic for minimum wage anyway. In my opinion, this store is doing it's best.

Produce is good, BUT prices not good at all. Lot of sale items never in stock. They have sales papers with items on sale and you go in to shop and in 2-3 days they are out of right many items, yes you can get Rain Checks but the point is how do you not order enough or at least a large enough order to last more than couple days. After store renovations prices went up and limited variety & selection of items to chose from. Food Lion is the only grocery store in this area other than Walmart and it (for me) is 20 minutes away.Shopping at Food Lion is not a pleasure at all any more. There are a lot of items people in this area enjoy eating that Food Lion don't even stock. Again their prices are outrageous BUT we have no choice.There are times doing the day on certain days every week when the store is at it's busiest which is a regular here they don't have enough workers on the register, long lines and waiting.I use to work there and they have very nice people that work there BUT this store has a few with very nasty attitudes (one particularly) NO ONE GETS ALONG WITH NOT EVEN CUSTOMERS!!!! BUT that one can not take from the kindness of the others, I give overall a 5 to the workers.The store is always clean and they are helpful when you ask for it.

The cashiers are very poorly trained. We are constantly being overcharged & groceries purchased are missing causing us to have to go back to the store with our receipts. At least one cashier ran after me this week with a bag of groceries she had omitted to hand over to me!!! Don’t they check????? They are too busy chatting to other customers & fellow employees. Also why don’t they have the Express checkout open during peak shopping hours???? Some people just need to rush in & out with an item or two & are forced to wait in long lines!!! It’s a pity that this is the only grocery store in the area.

Produce department had a wide assortment of fresh items. Store was clean but as expected some items were out of stock. I'm sure it's due to supply issues. Very friendly and courteous staff.

Fantastic staff and funny too. KICKER AT THE END. First I shopped then at checkout I had 15 items in the 12 item line but to my defence I did have three gallons of water and two Bigelow tea boxes , they should count as one each. And since GodsRV dcom and I are traveling we needed to fill our 15 gallon water tank I knew they had spickets as they called em, I call it a faucet so asking to use it was a bit of a language barrier I'm in VA how far north am I? they even called my shopping buggy a cart? What? But the manager was so nice to call another manager to help me, the spigot or spicket key did not work so he went to his car for channel lock plyers, above and beyond. Very Very nice store.God is good my friends, trust in Him, talk to Him love Him, and life will give you what you ask, and ps. Call Him anything you want.. hint he don't care as long as you love.

The Food Lion in Exmore is not my usual but I had to pick up a few things while out there. I managed to get tonight's dinner put together for round about $25 thanks to their weekly specials and their MVP card program. The only reason I took a star off is because of the fact they to suffer from the same problem a lot of supermarkets on the Eastern Shore have and that is they never have enough registers open when things get to be busy. That being said, the shrimp scampi, side salad, garlic bread, and pasta were worth waiting for. Definitely one of the better options for grocery shopping.

Its a great place to buy your food/alcohol. They have a great variety. Only down side is that the lines are always super long and sometimes not enough ooen on top of that. Otherwise great place. If you work for them though- the pay ain't that good.

Produce is rarely fresh, prices are ridiculously high, certain items are not kept in stock, cashiers don't know how to bag properly, employees smoke too close to doors, and parking lot is always a mess with litter strewn about. The crew has little to no pride in their store.

Rural grocery with same offerings in organics and alternate milks as suburban locations, surprising. I would like to see stores like this offering plain black cold brew coffee in bottles. I got the no sugar added Silk coconut milk 1/2 gallon, added to fast food drive through coffee.

I like this Food Lion, even though they just finished a remodel and I can't find anything lol. Everyone is very helpful and friendly and I know they are getting tired of all their customers asking where is everything. 😉 they show us and tell us repeatedly, with a smile. Great selection of products. They did stop stocking some of the Food Lion brands of icecream, Moms favorite flavor, Butter Crunch for one😥 and also the good bakery snowflake rolls. All in all it's my favorite grocery store.

Why do the cashiers greet and thank the customer before me but they are wordless when I check out even though I greet and thank them? Walmart is nicer then them......it must be me 😪

Busy, busy, busy and The checkout woman wanted to give me an attitude because the lines were so long and the staff were so short. This is the only place I went today that gave me guff. Everywhere else I went was also short staffed but without the attitude. If she had spent as much energy checking people out as she did taking and giving out negative attitude, she would have been 4 times as productive. Just to make sure I am speaking of the correct place, this is the Food Lion in Exmore, VA.

Steep prices! $5 for zesta crackers! Only 3 lanes open with no express checkout and 2 full carts in each lane trying to check out. Very clean and organized well though.

I was traveling and stopped here because I've always had a good experience at my local Food Lion but this one was dirty and unkempt and one of the employees followed us to our vehicle and took a picture of our license plate for some reason!! Creepy!! Called the management after we left and complained about this suspicious event and was told they would call us back and they never did!!

Prices are ridiculous. Not even competitive. E.g. same rotisserie chicken is >$2 higher than Walmart. (Not a fan of Walmart either; just a realist.)Prior to the blizzard, extra loaves of bread were left stacked ON THE FLOOR!!!! That's unacceptable. Times like those, just roll out the bread racks to keep enough bread handy.

Frequently out of basics, like bread. Cashiers generally unfriendly, almost rude. The only grocery store in Exmore, so going elsewhere isn't an option except to drive to Onley or Cape Charles.

Its food lion, I'm a pecaterian, so I look for Salmon and oysters and fresh seafood, organic veggies and beer a d wine....all at one stop, ean store and great cashiers...store is super clean..wear a mask...stay Healthy !!!!

Staff wise...terrible. I have reported 2 of their employees for using "retarded" around my Autistic and severely Down Syndrome brother that made him cry. Nothing was done. Not only do they still use that word but the cashiers know I said something. So my whole family is treated terribly now. It is exactly why we switched to Onley when we can.

One of the better stocked Food Lions, the cashier's are friendly. Can't ask for better. Parking lot and some of the patrons are a little rough.
